How do i tell/convience my parents that i dont wanna get graduated/dropout?
monkeyburn replied to blasterbros in Archive
Actually my post was not directed at your post, but the unexpected humorous affront that I was greeted with after reading your lengthy advise, which I thought to be sound, and realistic. P.S. To answer your question. My advise was directed at the reluctance blasterbros exhibited in communicating with his parents. I have no Idea what his income or current home life is like, so I stuck to a basic reply. For all I know, blasterbros could be the richest aspirant on the face of the earth, with two of the greatest parents who ever lived. Peace… :) -

If you are anxious about communicating with your parents, then maybe they feel you are not serious about your plans towards your prospects. You know, young persons often feel that their parents view them in a particular way, just based upon comments that they have made during the course of their interactions. I think you will be surprised when your parents see that you have taken the initiative to speak with them in an adult manner. As a result, they might be more receptive to your plans. -
Taking ones own life is a tragedy that has a negative effect on all of those people connected to that person. Being strong does not always mean being silent. When a person gets to a point where they feel that life is not worth living anymore, it is usually the result of desperation, which in fact, is closely the result of feeling that you cannot communicate with others around you, without having them judge you in a negative way, or that which society views as a weakness. Is humiliation really worth killing yourself? No it is not! The isolation that stems from such desperation, often causes a person to think irrationally, dwelling on small problems until they seem too big to handle, which in turn, leads to thinking that nobody really cares, when in fact, they do care. Your topic is proof of that. Go to your mother was soon as you can, and let her know just how much you care, and that she can always talk to you about anything! Nobody should ever have to feel that they are that alone, to take themselves out of this world. There are millions of people in this world who have reached that point of despair. They think they are all alone, when in fact, their numbers say otherwise. We are here to live through no matter what comes our way. Life is the greatest lesson of all. Don't throw it away. Peace to all. :)
