Believe me, they don't appreciate it when you join their battle. And even m1 isida's are useless, not to offend you but it's true. It's simply better if you join vs your own rank. You can gather more crystals and more XP there.

Put your own accounts in a battle to kill them with your main account all the time to get fast XP and easy crystals.

In some battles the option to change your equipment is disabled, this might be your problem.
