Chat moderator. I see so many 5-year-olds and other unruly players saying stuff that I wouldn't enjoy repeating here. I'd like to monitor the servers where there are less mods around (and, coincidentally, where these unruly players are most prevalent) and at least clean it up a little, because I hate to be looking for a game and see all the disgusting things being said off to the side, like a wall of graffiti.

Definitely save up a few more crystals for Freeze M1, it's worth every crystal. You'll be a real lifesaver to your team that way. Plus it sounds like you aren't too fancy with the other guns, so upgrading Freeze is definitely the way to go.

That's a good idea, so that way we will know if every shot they take is critical. But again, would that person really be hacking, or would they just be incredibly, the-stars-aligned lucky? It's all a matter of who we give the benefit of the doubt, the player or what we think really happened.

I think that votes should be logged just as the number of times you're kicked is logged. And there should be a "vote karma," and if you abuse the vote power it will be removed from you or you might get banned. But what matters more is that there has to be a way for the moderators to see WHY someone's voting, which I think is impossible with the current system. If mods could see WHY someone is voting as well as log the users' action, they could pretty much curtail the whole problem of vote abuse and false kicks.

This is a difficult topic. It's hard to see exactly what the chance is of a critical hit occurring because it's a supposedly random process and includes many hit and misses. You're definitely right when you say it's hard to see whether or not someone isn't tampering with the Smoky, if they could. Were they just really lucky and scored multiple critical hits? What are the odds of getting 5 critical hits, one after another, if the odds of getting 1 are 5 percent? Now, there's a line between sheer dumb luck, and blatant fraud. If EVERY shot a Smoky deals in a long battle is critical, then you have a reason to cry foul. But otherwise it's difficult to tell, because of the luck factor. Who's to say the guy getting 10 critical hits is just extremely, unbelievably, the-planets-have-aligned-for-this-moment, lucky? It's a very clever cheat, if it exists, to tamper with the critical hit chance. Hardly anyone will notice as long as you keep it subtle (missing a few shots now and then). Very evil. And nearly undetectable. Only the words of the developers can shed any light on the matter. Can we believe them though? Do the numbers tell the whole truth? These are the kind of things that the Press should be covering, not "What GoldRock had for lunch today."

At this rate, we might as well have it reach all the way across the map. Fun for everyone.

It's funny because these are the ONLY maps you'll ever see in a server list...on a good day. I love Gravity. And Novel. And Esplanade. And Subway. And you couldn't take that love from me no matter how many Moon Silence games fill up the lobby.

The tutorial is annoying if you clear cookies a lot. It shouldn't be mandatory to view...I'd rather it be an option underneath the In Development button on the homepage, or as a question in the log-in screen: "Need help? New to the battlefield? Try our tutorial." It would solve problems like what OP is probably having with his login issues.

Is it really impossible to add old graphics as an option in the menu? It honestly shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Just uncheck "Advanced Graphics" and the old graphics come back. It doesn't change the gameplay at all, it simply changes the "skin" of the game, not doing anything to any balances or systems in place. Yes it might take a few minutes longer to load all the old-graphics files, but that is the price for a feature like that. And this feature shouldn't insult the artists of the new graphics in any way, since there's always the option to keep the new graphics if you love them. Really, I bet so many people want something like this or similar but is Tanki willing to listen and be reasonable? Let's find out.

I'd like to bet being a community manager is hard, very hard, very very hard. And sometimes Semyon just likes to take a break every now and then, and have fun with the community he works so hard to build. Now why would you go and insult him for that? Have nothing better to do? Oh sure, Semyon may not have the "skills" in battle that you think you possess. But I think if you were in HIS environment (being a manager of an entire community) you probably wouldn't last 5 minutes, top. And how would you feel if Semyon made fun of you because you don't manage well? (not saying he would though, I don't think he is mean... like YOU)

I didn't make this topic solely to get my crystals back. Please don't assume that. I just wanted to make sure anyone else was having this problem, since no one else mentioned the site being down...since it was, well, down. So the game can eject all players with no refund at all and they call it legal? Thanks for the consolation... I didn't see this when the site first went down, don't assume that I made the topic ignorantly...I checked, trust me. The home page was unavailable completely, so I couldn't see the "maintenance service" post. But I agree when you say all the extra topics being started it isn't necessary at all. ...Well, now that the site is at least back up and you can see the maintenance notice, this topic isn't really necessary either. I guess you can close it, if you want, if that's what you feel you should do. At least I know what's going on now. Thanks for that at least.

It looks like Tanki Online isn't responding. It cut me out in the middle of a huge battle and because of that I lost thousands of crystals. Proof? There wasn't any scheduled maintenance that I know of, so this is strange. And terrible. I would like at least some form of compensation, but because I didn't take any screenshot of the battle (who does that anyways?) I doubt there'd be any satisfactory response to that.

Or maybe, just maybe, he's more focused on meeting the community and spending time with us rather than "pwning n00bs"
