That'd be over-powered. Go be a Freeze if you like Over-powered things. They made the damage-increase for Thunder M2-M3 not very high because of the Splash Damage- not to mention that it's pretty strong already. They want you to use it to your own advantage. Learn how to use a Thunder- it ain't Rocket Science. 1. Avoid Shooting for Fun in an Enclosed Space 2. Know when to shoot. If an Isida is coming at you, don't panic. Use your Splash-damage for goodness' sake. Wait for your Health to go down. Then when it gets low enough, Fire away. You'll die, but not before blowing off a big chunk off of the isida's Health. You're dead, so he can't heal either. It'll leave him pretty steamed. This can be done to any other opponent despite the gun they have. 3. Don't hit yourself, Son. What I mean for step 3 is that you don't want to intentionally step into your own Splash-damage zone. That is just plain stupid. I know this and even I don't use Thunder as a primary weapon- it's still M0. Say an enemy Railgun/Isida is hiding behind a Rock/Wall. Don't you dare try to drive over to kill him. You'll just kill yourself and thus rage and post such a topic as this one which is going to get Closed by a Mod. So, what you want to do is drive forward at a surge. Then stop, and when your tank is pulled back thus pointing the gun downwards, hit your spacebar and watch as you kill the person hiding. You see, what happens is the shot from Thunder is like a fire from a Mortar. The impact from it hurts anyone near it. The shot you fired is close enough to the hiding target and damages him/her and possibly kills him/her. Another bonus is that you didn't lose any health at all, and most importantly, for once it seems, the Splash Damage didn't hurt you. If you're careful enough: Say you're in an enclosed space. An enemy is right in front of you pressed against you. I've seen very smart Thunders do this. I wonder if you can too. Anyways, what they do it direct the damage to the enemy at full impact, but minimum impact on themselves. Whoa, Shocker. Anyways, they would shoot at a wall/object behind and close to the enemy. It would be identical to hitting him directly. However, you're farther away from the blast, so you'll either not suffer any losses from your own splash-damage, or endure minimal damage. --------------------------------------------------------------- As you can see from the tips above, you don't eradicate the effect from hurting yourself. It's strong already, and has unlimited range. If you have that big of a problem with it, then be smart with it and don't head up-front with the enemy. You'll just keep hitting yourself. Instead, find a comfortable spot whereas you're not too far from the enemy, but you're not too close either. Then you'll be using it at its full extent. If you can't use Thunder. then get a different gun, because it might be that Thunder just isn't your style. Perhaps you should try Twins/Isida/Freeze if you like going up-close in battling. ----------------------------------------------------------------- If the Thunder's Splash Damage can't kill itself, then it'd be over-powered. It's already tough, and think of it on Drugs! Pressing up against the Thunder is a considerable Tactic. So you'll just have to deal with it. Use the tips I gave you, and like I've said before, Tank is a flexible game so find your own way to use Thunder. Thunder on Drugs would mean 100+ damage with each shot. You'll kill enemies quicker than it'll kill you. A Thunder who can't kill itself is literally a walking Juggernaut. ----------------------------------------------------------------- No hard feelings, Sir. I didn't type this to annoy you, but to just give you some tips. Don't get angry at me now. I'm just trying to help you some tips. It sucks when it feels like you've wasted your crystals on something- ahem- Twins M1.

List of suggestions by the community 'en-masse' and the decisions

Wait a minute, so they plan on nerfing Railgun's range a bit. I mean, it's still unlimited Range, but the hit-box will become smaller? -
Yes there is. I got killed by a Thunder when I was trying to hide because of his Splash Damage. It's not dumb if you know how to use it. Instead of just firing Thunder like a Smokey, try different maneuvers with it. Tanki Online is a flexible game. Find your way of playing. If not, get a different gun. Splash damage is realistic. The impact shot from each shell of a Tank can hurt others.

Go with something like Forester or Metallic. Freeze will kill you and there are barely any Ricochets. Don't get the paints with no protection. They are a waste of Crystals unless it was like one of those Parkour contests where you needed white paint to participate. Get Lead.
-
20,000 Crystals? Save them. Do was IceRugby says. Do not waste them. Keep building on top of your stock of 20,000 Crystals until you get your first M2 Hull/ M2 Gun. Then you can go off-track a little and buy another M1. By the way, why Dragon paint? It's expensive and utterly useless since Ricochets are almost extinct. Better off using Metallica or Forester. However, do not waste your crystals.----------------------------------------------------------- Ranked to 1st Lieutenant and I feel silly not having an M2 Railgun.
-
Of course you should! That thing is a whopping 23,100 Crystals for M1. Wait until Sale. If you wait for sale, you'll save 6,000 - 7,000 Crystals, and you can't earn those in 1 or 2 days. This is a rare opportunity. Wait for the sale. And by the way, don't try to clean your Crystals out every time there is a sale. For now keep the extra Crystals you saved when you buy Hornet M1, and keep saving. In the future, buy either your first M2 Weapon or M2 Hornet. On New Years' there is probably going to be 30% off sale, which is when you should get M2 Hornet or an M2 Weapon. Right now stay with a basic paint such as Safari, Metallic, Lead, Forester, or anything like that. However, I think 7 months is More than enough time for you to earn M2 Hornet or M2 Weapon. Lol.

I do well in TDM/DM, but on CTF that's a whole different matter. I shoot the guy, then 3 seconds later a Thunder steals it. I hit another guy, an M0 Isida kills him. After a 30 minute battle I only get like 11 kills, and 110 points or so when in TDM I'll be having much more points. In TDM when you shoot the person, he's basically yours already. It splits the points in a fair way unlike CTF. Sure in CTF you'll be good for defending, but it's a sacrificial tactic. You're protecting your team, enabling a bunch of strangers to win, in exchange for you yourself losing. In DM it's everyone for themselves and all and it's much easier. That's my view anyway. Besides, IceRugby is already a high rank, so I doubt Railgun M1 will do that good unless in TDM/DM.-----------------------------------------------------------But then again it may be because of my Battling style. I don't tend to camp and Kill-steal. In CTF I stay on the move and shoot every moving thing I see which results in not killing him fully and losing the points. I guess you can try camping and actually trying to intentionally kill-steal. I think one of the best uses for Railgun in CTF is the recoil. I flip over Wasps -> Hornets -> Vikings- Especially when they're on Nitro. Just hit them from the right angle- usually on the corner or tip, however that will be more difficult. When 50% of their body is dangling off a cliff, don't shoot the corner. I once did that and it ended up turning the Hornet 180 degrees and it didn't kill him. He ran away and took our flag before he got killed by another Tank. In that case, just shoot them right-square in the middle and tip them over. Lol. Better safe than sorry.

Railgun is fun, but at your Rank you'll only be able to use it effectively in TDM. Use it on a Wasp and use Guerilla/Hit n' Run tactics. Avoid running into open space and Shafts. At CTF it'll be useless. At TDM it will be amazing. I just battled Loktinho today. TDM Polygon match, he had M2 Mammoth / M2 Railgun, I had M1 Wasp/ M1 Railgun. Good Crystals, his combo on drugs is scary.

True. It doesn't matter if you buy or not. It matters if you know how to use it or not.

You aren't going to check out some of the books I've mentioned above? :( :o . At least take a look at: ''My Brother Sam is Dead,'' ''The Little Prince'' ''The Outsiders'' ''Night'' or at least ''Tom Sawyer''
-
I actually read more than that. It's just those books selected above were the most memorable.
-
''Animal Farm'' by: George Orwell ''My Brother Sam is Dead'' by: Christopher Collier and James Lincoln Collier ''The Master Puppeteer'' by: Katherine Paterson ''The Outsiders'' by: S.E. Hinton ''Tangerine'' by: Edward Bloor ''The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn'' By: Mark Twain ''The Adventures of Tom Sawyer'' by: Mark Twain ''The Great Horned Spoon'' By: Sid Fleischman ''Mid-summer Night's Dream'' By: William Shakespeare ''Fahrenheit 451'' By: Ray Bradbury ''Night'' by: Elie Wiesel ''Lord of the Flies'' by: William Golding ''The Little Prince'' by: Anton de Saint Exupery ''How to kill a Mockingbird'' By: Harper Lee ''Johnny Tremain'' by: Esther Forbes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I suggest you check these out. These books are very interesting to read. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And if you have spare time, you might want to watch ''Glory,'' a 1989 film produced by Edward Zwick. It's an interesting one also. You can watch it on Youtube I think. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Warning: If you fail to read this post and take a look at some of these books, then you may do so at your own Risk. Why? Because you'll make me very sad. These books are incredible.

I only want the Crystals I spent for Twins M1 back. It's rubbish for me on how I use it. Lol. If I kept that, then I could have enough Crystals to buy M2 Rail now. I'm really close to ranking, so yes.

-
I can't buy Railgun M2 yet, but I guess I'll just wait until New Years' then. Unless of course, they give a 50% off for Railgun. Lol!
-
Ricochet gets better at M2-M3, but if you want to be safe, then I'd upgrade either Rail or Freeze.
-
Forever?! You're not coming back? :( Just persuade the Tanki Company that your username tigerofmalaysia is inappropriate and then you'll change it for free. Then make another account using the same username and magic~. Just go post some more. Nah just kidding, but seriously, just make another account. :( Dun leave us.
-
I tried using that combination . . All I got was shot down by Rails far away.
-
Oh no way. I was planning on getting Viking M1 myself, but restrained. Lol. It's because he said that he bought M1 Viking Before the sale of 25% off. If he waited for the sale, then he could've saved 5,000 Crystals in which he could've bought or saved for something else. The price for M2 is 99,900 Crystals. Say you have 94,900 Crystals. If you had saved the 5,000, then you wouldn't have to wait. :P Lol. That's what happened to me once. :(-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just realized that if I didn't buy Ricochet, I could get M2 Isida. Tanki, why so clever?

I plan on Micro-upgrading M2 Railgun's power and Reload. I agree on how the Rotation speed isn't necessary. I'm used to the slow rotation and Wasp already can turn pretty rapidly. However, Reload is quite important also. If you upgrade those two stats, then you'll have a true ''Fear-Machine.'' I don't mind the drugs lol. I use them wisely. Don't use them for a team which you know you'll lose even if you use drugs. I sometimes use them just to cap the last flag for a 1-hour battle. Oh nice. I'm not getting anything for this sale, so I'll have to wait for next time. However, I am only going to buy it on sale. Lol! That way I'll have enough Crystals for a basic Corrosion paint. :) So I'll earn the basic 92,100, then count that as equivalent to 0 and use only extra Crystals. I find Railgun very easy to use in TDM and DM. In CTF however, my kills get stolen. Lol!
-
No offence, but that wasn't a smart move. You could've saved 5,000 Crystals.
-
Not buying anything. . . . saving up for M2 Rail. :)
-
You're not going to have M1 forever. At M2, Viking is superior to Dictator by a wide margin, not to mention that at M1, Viking is still an adequate hull.
-
It is completely random. No tricks to it. Just shoot.
-
I'm curious, is M2 Railgun good for killing higher-ranks? Say, a Colonel? I'm thinking of trying to use Railgun in CTF matches again, but only in bigger maps say Serpuhov/Kungur.
