I have M3 Smoky. I can't tell you how much of an upgrade it is from M2 (since I bought it M1 --> M3 in a kit). I also can't really compare it to Thunder M3 since mine is 41/50. In general, M3 Smoky is pretty deadly - the impact force is good against Rails and its reload is quick. Considering that mine has no MUs and feels rather strong, I'm sure that at M4 it is an absolute killer. However, in Poly CP, for me personally I find it hard to keep up with my team on the scoreboard when I use Smoky/Titan. Smoky only hits one opponent at a time, and Polygon is a map where Thunder's range won't be a problem. In other words, if you play Poly CP, don't get Smoky.

Thunder works with all hulls except for Wasp. Even Thunder/Hornet is somewhat playable.

I have no idea why Raiden is even a kit. It is soooo mainstream and super obtainable without the kit. Not to mention that its pretty trash unless you're m4 or something

Picasso for long range maps. Nano is.... for idk, actually. I don't really use it a lot, but it's Rico and Hammer protections aren't bad. 20% Smoky is also decent too, but honestly Nano feels like a pretty trash paint to me.

Isida's also pretty cheap, so you can always get it in the future and pair it with your viking. Better to have few turrets w/ lots of MUs than lots of turrets with few MUs.

O. If I were you, I would go with the MUs. 50% MUed is still decent, since no one really MUs their hulls and now the only players with heavily MUed turrets are those who got lucky.

How much MU is your current Smoky? Does the "25 or 27" refer to your current smoky or your possible MUs after you cash in all your crystals?

If you like Smoky and you want it, then yes. The Holiday's sale has some of the largest discounts offered compared to other festivities, and you can definitely rank up in time. Unless your crystal amount is a problem, but I don't see it being once since you earned 21K cry from 11K exp and keep in mind you have 28K for rank up too. Also, when doing calculations, keep in mind the sale may not be 50%.

The whole point of the timer on the product kits was to show the amount of time a specific kit is available. After time runs out, the kit is put out of the garage until it reappears. What I don't understand is why this timer was removed. Now, players who want to obtain this kit won't know when the specific kit will expire. Keep in mind that most players who purchase kits are buyers.
