I'd personally take a desktop over a laptop for gaming. You'll get more performance for the price and you can upgrade it easily in the future. Also, most people will almost never move their gaming laptop around anyway, so the portability is wasted. Anyway, if you're still sure you want a laptop, I'd choose the MSI.

Right-click the taskbar, then click 'Properties', then click 'Customize..' under where it says 'Notification area'. You should get a list of all notifications which appear in your taskbar. Find the one for 'Get Windows 10', hit the dropdown box, and set it to 'Hide icon and notifications.'

Nice guide. I just thought I'd make it clear to everybody that you don't need to reserve Windows 10 to get the free upgrade when it is released. You can simply upgrade normally when you are ready. (What I'll probably do)

Nice. I'm also building a PC in the summer. If this PC is mainly for gaming, I'd make a few suggestions. Firstly, the GTX 980 is only slightly better than the GTX 970, but a lot more expensive. If you really want power (for 60fps, 4K) you would be better off with x2 GTX 970s in SLI than a single 980. Also, unless you do other CPU intensive tasks such as streaming or rendering, the Intel i5 will be just as good for gaming as the Intel i7, as the majority of games cannot make use of the extra power from an i7.
