That is a goos idea ..however this has happened already a short time ago. There are some really cool paints that where created. just search "custom paints' in the upper right corner and you will find some real nice stuff. I am just curious to know, I don't know either of these 2 players but both of these comments seem to me their opinion stated in manner that was respectful even though they may have been critical. Now when I looked at the up/down votes for these comments I see a lot of down votes and a lot of them from what I recognize as "staff". If this thread is for the allowance of our opinions then IMHO the down votes from staff only serve to drive a wedge between staff and player. These comments seem to be passionate, but not rude to me. SO.....why the down votes?? Maybe on this thread the option for up or down vote should not exist and one should take the time to explain their position in a respectful manner. I would like to hear from staff on these matters and see things from your prospective. I believe this thread could do a lot of positive good for the community if EVERYONE put their thoughts down with out taking some one else's comments personally. I really don't have many complaints. The only thing I would recommend at this point is if there is a post that might be ban worthy please re-read it and make sure you understand it correctly before hitting the ban button. I have been banned by mistake. I will say the mistake was realized and I had an apology which I appreciated very much. I have also been quick to respond to posts with out fully understanding the meaning and I too have had to issue apologies. So staff and player alike make sure you fully understand the post before taking action Thanks for making this thread, I think if used properly it will help to bring staff and player into better relations and understanding Dirt

When you are sitting in traffic and start making the turret turning sound effect and blowing up cars with Thunder (cause you can get more than 1 in a single shot) ...Then some one is nice and lets you merge in and you instantly switch to Isida and heal their car for them. I drive a semi truck for work (Mammoth) and a pick up truck personally (Hornet) my wife's car is 4runner (wasp). I got pulled over the other day by the cops (Mods) and got a ticket (ban) I was watching youtube the other day and saw the video of the guy that got Tazered and was saying "don't taze me bro" to the cop and I swore I heard him say "don't ban me bro" O-o

Gentlemen!! (or ladies..I dont know) both your comments are what this thread is about. Is it necessary to say some one is jealous because they don't like the way they where treated? Is it necessary to call him a loser for making such comment? I say no. The reason LaserShark made this thread is because of disrespectful comments. I believe most are missing the point. This is not wether a low rank player should or should not play in a particular match. It is about the way we treat each other in the game AND in the forum..A lot of disrespecting go's on around here an it is usually just some pointed word or sentence. At least try to THINK out how you want to get your point across and attempt to do so in a respectful manner.

I am speaking in general terms. Of course if they do not warrant your respect because of bad behavior than so be it.

I agree with both of you. Notice I also lay out the kind of behavior that should get respect. I asked them to have an understanding of the position they hold and to act accordingly. I have respect for the rank they have because in most cases they have put forth the effort and I know what that in tails, however if they open their mouth and spew negativity then rank means nothing, I just consider them a blow hard big mouth. There will always be exceptions like the guy that "bought" his way to the rank. I am talking about a guy or girl that has worked hard and put the time in. IMHO that deserves some respect. My respect can be easily lost with a simple opening of the mouth. the whole point of this was to get people to think about how they, as an individual act and treat people no matter what rank. WE should ALL be considerate of one another even if it means leaving a game with higher ranks or allowing and welcoming a lower rank player. I would like people to have the attitude that they WANT to leave this game better than they found it and WE ALL have the ability to make this a reality.

They (the generals) also joined the same exact game he did in which it is possible for his rank to join that game so they knew that players of lower ranks have the ability to join. It is allowed and it should be expected until enough of the Generalissimos get together in feedback and demand that there be an option for General rank only then it should be expected that a lower rank can and will join the match. I know and you know and I am sure he knows he can not keep up with generals. That is not the point. The point of this topic is how poorly he was treated by higher ranks. Should he have joined such an intense high rank battle? ....probably not, but the fact remains he has the ability and the right to join the battle and not get treated like crap. No one is above common curtesy and if that means "noobs" should not join high rank games then it also means high ranks should not treat low ranks bad because they joined a game. Every player here will have epic days when you can not get beat and the same you will have days when every thing go's wrong. chalk it up to one of those days, who knows maybe if the frustrated party grants grace upon the 'noob" maybe they will turn out to be a valuable ally in battle some day. I agree to an extent, I dont know if you read any of the other thread I linked but some thought the OP was complaining about getting beat by Generals because he is lower rank, but the fact is he was complaining about the way he was treated by said Generals and not the fact they beat him. So I posted this to hopefully get people to think about their actions and how it affects others and the quality of the game. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my topic :)
