Yes, rail is great on hornet, isida and firebird and freeze too. Rico is probably better on viking, and twins is better on titan/mammy.

Savannah makes more sense for lighter hulls, because of the nice rail protection, viking can survive lots of rail shots, and with the new light m3, there are tons of rail m3s. Definitely don't get mammoth, it is outclassed by titan. If you're a midfielder, and you go all over the place, you'll want something with good speed and decent health so I'd recommend viking, but if you play lots of DM, titan is a great choice too.

Huh, it's interesting how tanki opened the test server server 2, and there aren't any players on it. Probably due to the test server invite code though. I wanted to try Smoky on Hornet, I've only tried it on Wasp and Mammoth.

Ok, I have Hornet M2 ATM, so my best choice is now to get Smoky M2 and save up for a decent paint. So which paint would you suggest? I will use Smoky M2 + Hornet M2, and I use Tundra/Jaguar right now. I was thinking maybe Rustle, Winter, Digital, or Savannah. Btw, thanks alot for actually bothering to give reasons, most people around here tend to just say (Turret of choice) M2, without saying any reasons. I appreciate your help and time! :D :D

Yes, I tried smoky on test too. It's amazing, just lots of smoky paints recently. I didn't try it with hornet. I tried it with Wasp and Viking. I found viking way too slow for me, so I'm thinking either wasp or hornet.

I didn't lose my sight like that. The only thing that I find annoying when playing with shaft is when someone sits on you and you lose your charge, or when someone with freeze starts shooting in your face and you can't see a thing.
