Firebird has a 5 second charge while Freeze has a 7 second one. Don't forget that they don't max damage until they are at point-black range. And Firebird's afterburn is good how it is. Let's not forget that before all these 'rebalances', Fire was the only short-ranged weapon that could kill a Mammoth in one charge.

You say you're good with Freeze? Well use the same tactics only much quicker because things will be doing much faster.

Firebird outranges Freeze and Isida by a significant margin. I usually pop out behind, and start firing away. Since most a noobs, you can circle then quite easily. But sometimes it's better to get in close. I do some drive-by shootings where I go, start spraying from a good distance away and go so close to him that it can't connect. If it does, I use some evasion tactics and lose it. If I die, the afterburn is there :D
