You can get crystals only after the battle finishes. But, it doesn't mean that you will get crystals in any battle. Your team (or you in DM) has to have scores (or captured flags) and you should also have a good score. If you didn't get crystals in this conditions, take a screenshot of it and send it to help@tankionline.com.
