I was at your rank not a year ago, and in your situation. I decided to get my first M1 because I needed it, and it's been great very since. I still use it today. If you are really in need of an M1 combo, get Smoky and Wasp. It's a fast combo and improves your skills greatly. I learned more than half of what I know from playing of this combo until WO3. Same here. Colonels with Freezes still use M1 Hornets to play with. Isida is pretty good at gaining points, because you get them for healing and attacking. It is pretty good and you can upgrade it to M2 early. If you want a short range weapon, I recommend you get the Freeze. It's more powerful and it can be double upgraded sooner than anything else. Save up for what you really want, no matter what others say and recommend. If you want it, you can get it. Wait for sales to get powerful M1s and buy the ones you like, not the ones you buy just because you can. Most importantly, keep your WO1 account and have fun playing Tanki Online!

I would rather stay unstable, it's how I play.

Oh. I knew that...

I am so bad at catching Gold Boxes, but heck I want one!! Especially a 3000 one! :D Edit: if anyone needs the MayDay Gold box pic, here it is -->

Old Tanki for me was back in late 2010, early 2011 pre rebalance and had old graphics. It was fun, but I prefer the new Tanki more.
-
I do not wish to be a bother, but this should really be in the 'Forum Games' section. I say it is Tanki.
-
From late 2010 to 2011 I used M1 Hunter and M2 Smoky. From 2011 to 2012 I used M2 Hunter and M2 Railgun. I was only a Staff Sergeant, and was just getting my first taste of M3s when - Boom. Rebalance changed everything. Just recently I tried Hunter and Railgun together, reunited after almost two years. My favourite combo nowadays would be Wasp and Railgun.

I don't have any screes either, maybe I'll find one over the next year or so...

Who knows? Either it's a glitch or they're handing out the crystals later today. Are you 100% sure the account was linked?
-
Yeah, umm...okay. Awkward... :)
-
I find them extremely useful, especially with Wasp. Edit: 300 posts!

My real account is a secret...until futher notice.

Yeah, I am that smart... :D I purchased Thunder before the sale. In case I didn't explain it too clear there is a section called "New Years Sale" in the guide. Thanks, Ill do another soon on my good account and a sequel to this.

Yeh, I'm trying to get it back as we speak.

All right, please post what you think below. I do have other, higher, accounts, but I figured I'd just go with my original one. Also, this took me a long time to write.

Hello all you tankers out there, and welcome to my garage analysis. You've seen tons of legends like Lhamster and Raphael2 give a well thought out analysis on their garage, so I figured it was my turn. Whereas I may not exactly be a legend, I would love to connect with the community and get to know you better as well as you getting to know me better. Please hang in there, this will be very, very long. So without further ado, my garage. Pre-Rebalance One day after school in 2010 I was sitting around in the computer lab, bored out of my skull. Minecraft was yesterday's news and I was trying to stay on top of the gaming world. So what did I do? I looked beside me to a random kid playing some sort of violent death game. I think to myself, 'Not that game.' I look to my other side, where to my amazement a Grade 12 student is playing online Dora the Explorer games. 'Tempting, but no. Just no.' There was no where else to look but in front of me, where I caught my first glimpse of Tanki Online. In awe of the game before me, I walked up and said, "What game is that?" Without hesitating, he destroys some poor noob's M0 Wasp with his 'Fear Machine', as it was called back then instead of Railgun, and with the other hand types Tanki's URL out on the computer beside him. 'Sweet,' I think as I sit down at the controls of the game. An hour later, I was a Gefreiter with an extremely outdated M0 combo. I had racked up crystals like crazy during my first few battles and was ready to spend. I also needed a new name. Who wanted to be called Recruit #1276549 or something like that all day long? I thought for a moment, and then came up with a simple new username: jh1816. After playing for a single day, I actually ranked up to half of where I ended up at in the end of the pre-rebalance era: Master Corporal. But back then, when you got to that rank, Tier Two stuff was coming out and buyers were just destroying us noobs, no one like me who wasn't a buyer ever had a chance. So for another three months, I loved the game, but simply put, I sucked. Now enough with the history, you want the stats. Pre-Rebalance I had made my way to Staff Sergeant, and was happy with M2 Railgun and M2 Hunter. All of a sudden, Minecraft made a comeback, and I lost sight of Tanki for several months. Long story short, I actually joined back into Tanki the day the currency was changed. I took one look at the graphics and thought to myself, 'Boo-yeah!!' I'll start this analysis fresh off my return. Post-Rebalance I decided right off the bat to do something with my 56000 crystals I was refunded, and like usual, that something was dumb. Without thinking, I didn't leave room for saving up, for upgrades, nothing. I had never played with Tier 2 stuff, so I wanted it right then and there. I purchased the following M0s: Firebird, Railgun, Thunder, and Shaft, Wasp, Hornet, Viking, Titan, and Mammoth. I also purchased Forester and Flora. I won't get into details regarding M0s, but I will look at paints. Forester is by far the best starter paint available, and is probably the only smart item I bought right then and there. It's the only way to survive Railgun shots when equipped with Wasp, and plus, whp can resist that camo? 7/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flora looks nice at first, but it's colouring is way darker than originally depicted on the picture. I expected more of it in noob battles, but it didn't stop critical hit anyways. 4/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sergeant Major I didn't buy another single thing until Sergeant Major. At that point, I had been saving and saving because I learned that lesson the hard way after rebalance. So I decided to buy M1 Smoky, M1 Isida, M1 Wasp, and Carbon. M1 Smoky is one of the greatest turrets out there. It's reload and critical hit give it advantages at all times, and it is so underestimated that hardly anyone has protection against it! I love this weapon because it is so versatile, and I still use it to this day! 8.5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isida, at whatever 'M', is the best turret to gain EXP with. I went from Sergeant Major to Warrant Officer 1 within a week just because I used this weapon all the time. However, I find it only useful for ranking up and not fun to use a lot of the time. 6/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Wasp is by far my favourite hull and the most fun to play with. My first true love was Wasp and Smoky, a dream team, that always was fast, maneuverable, and dangerous enough to survive no matter what the circumstances. Nowadays my favourite combo is Wasp and Railgun, and I rely on my trusty Wasp to get the job done. I love doing parkour with this hull too! :) However, I wish it had just a bit more health, especially when it comes to Railguns attacking. 9.5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carbon always did aid my Wasp a bit with Shaft and Twins, and with all the M1 Smokys popping up around the Sergeant ranks. However, just like Flora, 20% protection from Smoky is not going to stop a critical hit on a Wasp. 5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warrant Officer 2 Once again, I took a break from buying to save up. Nothing at all, not even more M0s or cheap paints happened at Warrant Officer 1. Eventually, I felt like buying something to satisfy my need to be stronger as soon as possible, so I bought M1 Hornet and M1 Firebird. Hornet is a fun hull, especially after it received the drift boost in the recent Physics Update. I like it when playing with Thunder, Railgun, and Shaft, but never quite got the feel of it with Smoky. Needless to say, it wasn't too popular to me throughout the Warrant Officer ranks. 6/10 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Firebird helped me a lot in the transition from sniper to close range fighter when I needed it to rank up most. I enjoyed the burn effect most of all, but I thought its reload time could easily be improved. 5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warrant Officer 3 This rank probably made the biggest impact on me, because it was when I got my favourite turret as of now, the M1 Railgun! I purchased this quite a while after my rank up, as you can see me using only M0 Rail in the picture of it above. I waited until a sale, which was lucky. Without knowing it was coming, I eventually purchased this weapon on the 65% Railgun discount sale. I also bought M1 Mmmoth (Finally!) as a heavy hull and Dirty as my main paint. The Railgun is beyond words. It's extreme damage makes it the ultimate sniping weapon and the ultimate kill stealing weapon. I used to sit in the end of Fort Knox and one shot unsuspecting M0 Hornets and other hull that never saw it coming. This with the Wasp is the ultimate combo. 10/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Mammoth is a fortress on tracks. I love this hull to sit around in and snipe unsuspecting tankers to their doom or cream enemies with the Firebird in DMs. However, an obvious problem is that it is slow. Enough said. 6/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dirty is a sniper's dream come true. You'll never have to worry about Shafts ever again, and it will save the life of you and your Wasp more than once against Railguns. I love this paint specifically because I use light hulls and need protection from those big guns out there. 8/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warrant Officer 4 As soon as I ranked up, I considered my options: should I buy Thunder now and laugh at all those who wait for the New Year's Sale, or wait for the New Year's Sale. I chose the first just because I like laughing at the unfortunate who have to wait to upgrade ;p No, Thunder was my favourite M0 turret, plus I wanted something else more expensive to save up for during the New Year's Sale anyways. The Thunder is one of my favourite turrets, mostly because of it's now increased range following the second rebalance and because of its splash damage. With double power, it deals the same amount of damage the Railgun would, and since it reloads faster and has splash, it's a huge bonus. Whether it be placed on light, medium, or heavy hull, this turret's surprising versatility never ceases to amaze me. I can't wait for M2! 9.5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New Year's Sale 2014 During the awesome sale I bought one of my new favourite hulls, the Hunter, plus a good old M1 Titan. Previously I had MUed my M0 Hunter, for no good reason whatsoever, almost to the max. I decided now that I needed M1 more than I did M0.5, so I purchased the upgrade. Hunter is the true missing link, more importantly between the Hornet and a all out medium hull. It has the third most speed of any hull in the game, updated maneuverability from the second rebalance, and extreme stability. If I had to choose just one hull to face a Field Marshal with, it would be this one. With great health and great speed, this hull provides absolutely everything for you. 8.5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Although I appreciate the extra speed it has over Mammoth, the Titan just doesn't have the right shape to fit my gameplay. I like to peek out and shoot, and that's hard with the Titan because the hull extends out on both sides of the turret. Otherwise, I like everything else it is, plus the look of it in general. 5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Warrant Officer 5 Early in January 2014, I ranked up to fifth Warrant Officer and halfway through February decided to purchase the In Love paint on sale for Valentine's Day. Until I ranked up once more a few months later I would use Hunter and Thunder M1 unless I ran into a big problem on the other team, namely druggers with Cedar. In Love is an okay paint, but it's not one that helps me directly, having protection against close range turrets instead of ones like Thunder and Railgun. Personally, I only bought it just in case I switch game plays in the near future. Besides, it was only just over 1000 crystals! 4.5/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Third Lieutenant Third Lieutenant was cool for a couple of reasons. The first was that it put me one step closer to the M2 Hornet, a hull that I could actually afford and like. The second was that it introduced me to one of my new favourite hulls: the Dictator! Some people might say it is big and slow, but it's just like a better protected Wasp, with decreased speed. So, I purchased M0 and M1 Dictator. Immediately after I ranked up, I bought M1 Dictator. Personally, I did it because It's like a giant Wasp with more health.' I like the fact that they are both shaped the same way so I can adjust to each easily. It has great maneuverability and handling, and can be useful in all situations, regardless of what others say. 8/10 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Second Lieutenant This was it. This was the dream rank. I purchased one of my new favourite hulls, an M2 one to be exact. Yes, that's right, I bought the M2 Hornet, an awesome hull that anyone can use. During this rank, I looked to get Cedar as well, but it is too expensive. It was either Hornet or Cedar, and a hull is more important than the paint. Holy crap, is this hull ever cool! I cannot say enough about this amazing sportscar that lays in front of me. This awesome hull with super drift is able to glide its way anywhere, while surviving more because of a well needed increase of HP from M1 to M2. This hull's speed, handling, and overall looks convinced me to finish saving up and buy it. Then I figured out that the 'Choose Your Discount Sale' for hulls came out the next day, and that everyone was voting for Hornet. #Facepalm... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the Future I am planning to eventually get: M2 Thunder Cedar Thanks for reading my garage analysis! I may make a part II when I reach Colonel. That's a long ways off, so I better get ranking up. See you on the battlefield! SpiderPig1

Wish it was 50 or up % off so that I could get Corrosion. :(

I think that we should get a refund, and I'm not the only one, but that's not my choice, it's Tanki's.
-
I regret buying both Carbon and Isida M1.

After rebalance what is the strongest combo turret/hull ?
r_SpiderPig12 replied to ArieldeArgentina in Archive
Hunter/Rico. I played with it today and got a d/l of 2.68... -
Yeah, we don't want players we're about to kill self destructing so that we don't get pts.
-
In M2 Wasp more armor and speed than a Hornet , is a mistake ?

Go Wasp, Go Wasp... -
All right, here is a chart for what I think happened in the update. Pros - All the turrets and hulls are equal - Viking is faster - Hunter is faster and more maneuverable - Thunder has better range - Dictator has more health - Shaft has rapid fire :) - Finally, less Hornets out there ;p - Twins firing speed increased - Ricochet's bullet speed increased --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cons - Not one turret or hull is overpowered - Hornet is slower - Dictator and Viking swapped places, causing numerous gameplay adjustments - More Hornet druggers, to make up for what was lost - Ricochet's reload takes longer If you have different opinions, let me know. I'd be happy to discuss the pros and cons with some of you guys. I believe Tanki Online is slowly but surely headed in the right direction, and I appreciated this balancing update.
