Still made me laugh - one of the best things I've read online. Nice!

A guide on how to plan ahead for Tanki? :)
-
I admit that I might be getting hooked a second time...

How do you check drugs used? Could anyone check for me?

The game is impossible to keep track of and plan ahead when updates like this are constantly being rolled out. In my experience I'll list just a few cases I experienced. 1) Merging of microupgrading individual parameters. Microupgraded items were then adjusted to match the parameter that was most upgraded. Tankers who had spent time and money upgrading their turrets and hulls parameters fully were then penalised as the whole price system was overhauled and tankers who had spent crystals upgrading one or two parameters suddenly had matching M4s. 2) Constant balancing and rebalancing. This would be a great thing, except every update there was always an overpowered and underpowered turret. Can we even make buying decisions practically if Tanki is going to "keep the game exciting" by then nerfing our newly bought or microuograded turret? "Balancing" should be slow and subtle. Some of the changes we have seen DRAMATICALLY alter the gameplay of the turret. Isida and Thunder are my two most used turrets and I have seen a complete difference in usage of these turrets. 3) Now allowing higher modifications of items to be bought without previous ownership of the ones before. Again, this cheats players who have spent the time and money to invest, with the now wrong assumption that they needed to buy all the earlier modifications anyway. But what really annoys me here is the update that came shortly before, where microupgrading a previous modification gave you a discount off the next. This actually ENCOURAGES players to waste their money since the following update then penalised players who did so. 4) This update in particular cheats players. By changing the value of different aesthetics and protections you have now skewed people's previous buying decisions. Zeus and Lumberjack cost the same before, but wait, Zeus now costs 500.000 while Lumberjack costs 160.000? Argue that "oh it's just looks it doesn't matter" but believe me this is subjective. If I had known that Zeus would get a huge increase in value I would have been more inclined to go for Zeus perhaps. I own neither. As for the legacy protections, this again is hugely unfair. Players who now join the game simply have fewer options for paints than older players. It's now just a matter of fact that some players have an advantage over others just depending on when they started to play. I now for example have access to my unique Rock paint, giving a perfect combination of 50% Isida, Twins and Freeze protection for flag pushing on lower maps. Some will have access to Lumberjack, giving a perfect combination of protections against all the short range turrets. ******************** The overall principle behind all these updates is financial, because I for one, had lost trust and quit in Tanki long ago because of all this nonsense. Introduce new weapons, paints, kits and game modes by all means, but don't change up what's fundamental about Tanki and expect the cheated and misled to shut up.

Cba to make a new thread - Merry Christmas guys!

This argument makes me laugh every time I see it. Where would Tanki be without the other millions of players who don't buy? We depend on you as much as you depend on us. Get off your high horse and have some respect for people who don't want to invest real money into a game As regards to the original post, no one is blaming you, for buying premium. There is no problem, as you said - it's your money, you can spend it however you like and it's not for us to judge. At higher ranks the paint is pretty useless. Better to have specialist paints. At lower ranks this paint could be powerful though.

Rock. Not biased at all. One of the most useful short range paints in the current meta.

Haha! They don't know. Most regular mods are simply players - they know very little more than we do!
-
nope. Posting criticisms is not the same as disrespect

Considering you initially denied what happened at all, and it was in fact myself and Mia who actually raised the alarm after we saw thousands of posts on the paysheet, that's doubtful. If that is so the case however, please do share your side of the story - I'm surprised you haven't yet! In either case it's not a dig at you in particular, it's the system largely at fault!

Would absolutely love this.

Wasn't aware that stating facts was against the rules, and I did not gaze or insult him. Though if it is against the rules, they can always remove his name from the post!

We were promised that we would be better off after the daily missions. But then they were reduced, and reduced again. Either a stunt from Tanki to make us welcome the change, or miscommunication and lack of organisation (which isn't the first time) from the developers. To quote @beaku, they showed us the greener grass on the other side then they stopped fertilising the grass. They were reduced significantly, to the point where we aren't better off at all. I believe it was by more than 50%.

@Damn_Slow Hey man, thank you for explaining how the pay works for chat and forum moderators. However, I just wanted to point out that for Facebook moderation, the system does indeed work as pay-per-comment, as was suggested. This system is prone to abuse, and through my career I have several experiences to share. I, personally, have been tempted to simply comment for the sake of it - and some moderators do indeed do just that, replying with a simple smiley face, or some other useless acknowledgement. To take the most memorable example, former moderator at one point in time went to old Question of the Week videos, which had already finished and winners announced, just to copy and paste the answer "Thanks for entering!" on hundred and hundreds of comments. Mia and I called him out, and FBI did a stellar job at resolving the problem, but this just shows how prone the system is to abuse from selfish or immoral individuals.

Lots to be done but a step in the right direction

Have a look at some M4 stats. Having played with them, I know exactly how overpowered they are. Viking, Isida, fully Mu Rock, you have a dramatic impact on any small map game. Thunder, Viking, fully MU clay, you can two hit most things on the map. Now imagine a few of us... Don't be so naive. I only own these courtesy of moderator income. Each costs many hundreds of thousands of crystals and only along with well planned buying on sales. With no pay there is no chance for a non-buyer to realistically ever afford anything near it and compete And in fact yes, mults is a far greater problem. Since there is no way to deal with them, and it is, essentially cheating. Take a look at the kick system suggested by @AbsoluteZero in I&S, as a way of dealing with them. It has almost 350 upvotes and pages and pages of discussion. So yes. I think the community agrees multing is a much larger issue. And on a final note, don't twist my words. At no point did I say people will like this update if they dealt with mults - in case you haven't noticed this update is about premium accounts, and they are two completely separate things. From your initial post and insults I recognise your type as some of the less polite and more childish people on this forum, don't expect a reply to your next comment.

Indeed, I think we all know why! All the best Turkey! I'll eat some in your memory

Well, you would think someone with randomly announces the university he goes to purely for the purpose of showing off, someone with that sort of pride, would take the same in his or her writing :) K, out lol Back to topic!

http://en.tankiforum.com/index.php?showtopic=272663&do=findComment&comment=4807659 This article is multicoloured, full of gramatical mistakes, and well, maybe Harvard have lowered their entry requirements who knows :p But yeah, your comment was of no relevance at all to my response, I don't actually care where you go, or where you want to pretend you go to. Two minutes ago you said he "wasn't judging" now you are implying he did :p I'm not even gonna bother to waste my time responding anymore - I'm not at all bothered by any of this, and I think you're short-sighted to say that I was the one to overreact. Read up man

I doubt the truthfulness, considering he started a multicoloured post on catching gold boxes, with several glaring grammatical mistakes at a glance. But you get all types of people everywhere, so whatever :)
