Episode 63 of the V-LOG is here

"Jumping on the bandwagon because I have nothing better to do" - reading what I've written clearly these are my genuine thoughts, that I also expressed in my leaving post And apparently I have "no-life", because I'm expressing my opinions that are fully backed up :) And why are you telling me what university you go to?

Why do you make the assumption buy-to-play or adverts is the only alternative? What about addressing real problems like mults, that we have been asking for for a long time? And actually, I'd rather an up-front payment - it would be cheaper. And yes, I would rather some adverts than having to pay to survive! Tanki should be a fun game for everyone! Agreed, tanki is a business, at no point did I say otherwise. It is unethical to continue to milk their customers however, with false promises and continual updates that force players to invest more to keep up. The population, as in your example would obvious accept it :) And Tanki has made several changes like this in the past. But a point is reached where it becomes unacceptable, and obviously there is uproar. Obviously, using your example you can't raise the percentages forever, or there would be uproar! I won't address personal insults, I've somewhat matured since I was 12, but may I just remind you to remain civil - this is a discussion not an argument. I'm reading one of the most prestigious courses at one of the most prestigious universities in the world - don't make judgments on people you know nothing about.

There are many that share his views. He is not a kid, or any of what you said - I don't know how you managed to come up with that assumption. Regardless, there are plenty of mature adults here. And yes, you're absolutely right, the update will come, nothing will change, developers won't listen, as what's happened every time

If you class drawing out the problems, as facts, that people should know about, as whining, then yes - nothing wrong with it!

Youre seriously saying that Sami is doing this for cash? The amount he makes on a video is a few dollars, I'm sure that's nothing compared to the amount he's invested, both time and money, into this game that he is talking about! Why do you say he is spreading false information? Even Issho_Fujitora apologied to him and admitted that there was truth in his videos. Don't try and be the big man, we are all trying to help here

Use a bit more thought and read a little more carefully and you'll see that we aren't slimy complaining about the introduction of "premium accounts" - more the imbalance it will bring to an already incredibly imbalanced game. It is already pay-to-win, this merely aggravates the problem What you're saying here is that without premium accounts Tanki would not survive. Just think again at how stupid your statement is. There are plenty of other real problems that are causing players to leave - they have not yet been addressed No comment I'd invite you to explain how this update benefits the vast majority who don't buy. The issue is Tanki had previously mentioned that accounts could indeed be transferred. Players have worked hard, spent hours and hours, many incomprehensible amounts of money to support this game. I have never bought yet I still feel cheated, I can't imagine how they would feel. Why do we have to support every single change the developers make? Why do we have to be like all the moderators and blindly support Tanki whether they are right or not? We are critisizing because we have positive hopes and we want the game to change for the better Again, are you really trying to say if this update does not come out Tanki will not exist? There are plenty of real problems, that have been suggested over and over again - but as a mod confirmed, developers don't care!

This is what many of us disagree with. Slowly Tanki is becoming a game where buying is necessary in order to keep up with the rest. Buying gives you power, an actual advantage in-game compared to non-buyers. I'm careful not to offend you, but honestly when you reach higher ranked battles you will understand - without drugs and well upgraded equipment you won't keep up. They require a ridiculous amount of crystals - from my own experience I could walk into battles with friends and the few of us could dominate the game. That's because we bought, or were paid mods. So, if my experience was bad enough to make me quit two months ago, how do you think it will be after this update?

Episode 63 of the V-LOG is here

Are we grumbling? No, we are in fact "giving ideas and feedback on the system to improve it" - developers and moderators alike are simply too egotistical and caught up in their loyalty to Tanki to accept any of it, even when there are so many expressing collectively the same thoughts That's absolutely right, but again a short-sighted person might forget that if there were less and less players because game experience deteriorated - and as we have said and explained, it will for the masses- there wouldn't be Tanki either One of the moderators clearly stated that what we post in I&S has no value and will bear no fruit. Repeatedly Tanki has not actually addressed proper problems but only made changes that will overpower buyers, making this game unplayable for those who don't. I don't think that's a great relationship with the community, where are you getting that from? There does need to be a balance of community input and developer input - right now there's simply not, since the community input is not being listened to And really? Other games don't seem to care about what the players want? That's Tanki mate, through all these updates that make the game more and more P2P it's alienating a significant portion of players. In nearly all top games paying merely facilities progress, or cosmetics. They require no, or merely just a one time payment for the game itself, and don't require a continual stream of cash to keep up with the rest. Let's just take League of Legends, only the top game in the world. Buying skins gives you no advantage in the game, yet that is what people buy. Buyers have no advantage in the game itself. Why - because they have bothered to iron out the game's problems before offering a completely optional (some may say useless feature). This makes the game fun and moreover playable for everyone, whether they buy or not. You, moderator, are merely a player with an avatar. We know, some of us have been moderaptors before. I don't even know why you are trying to play the big man when you know about as little as we do. So stop trying to shut us down - not everyone has the luxury of being paid crystals for jack all work

Oh right, so you accept the truth behind Sami's video? So why are you still deleting it?

DJax do you know under what circumstances mods are allowed to delete posts? I'm just really confused - surely as a mod IF would be responding to yourself as a representative of the community. There's no reason for him to delete his post if it's a truthful and honest answer :p

Episode 63 of the V-LOG is here

As a mod, it's natural to stay loyal to the game, we all get that. Tanki does not act on feedback we give most of the time, it's just not true! Tanki does what it wants! Initial stage? Hmm. Just like daily missions? Promises of a better more rewarding system, and then broken? If Tanki decide to remove premium accounts I'll be incredibly surprised.

Episode 63 of the V-LOG is here

Wow, this update How did you come to the conclusion they were false? Have you seen all the proof Sami has to offer? Don't be so short-sighted. There's always one guy that tries to be the diplomatic one. Criticism is negative by nature, and is essential! Some simply put it in a more blunt form. If Sami didn't care and didn't want the game to change for the better do you think he would bother? But, rather than actually address the criticism and resolve the problem, you delete it? Bemusing. It's pathetic and cowardly really - shame. I'm not surprised many left, I went through that exactly! I never spent a penny though, so I can't even begin to imagine how some feel about this!

Do u every think of leaving tanki?

I don't think you can just sit down one day and say "I'm going to leave tanki", especially if you're into it :p For me it was more a natural decline. I used to log in religiously every day, then I got busier, didn't play it as much, realised I wasn't totally enjoying it and had better things to do. I went over a month without playing, and then I realised I should just quit!

    Some final thoughts and goodbye

Correction, I love Tanki. I haven't played any game apart from it than maybe one or two in the last two years :) But I don't enjoy the game as it is right now, and the direction it has been taking recently.

    Some final thoughts and goodbye

That's very true. And that's why, even though I had the garage to compete in regular games, XP was the only thing I played during my decline to exit. But bear in mind that XP/BP is just one part of the game. It involves one weapon, and two hulls. Are you really gonna tell me skills will beat a buyer in a normal game? Just take a moment and think about it for a second. Are you really trying to tell me you can have a competitive garage (M4+) and afford to drug regularly and remain self-sufficient? Let's discount those players who spend hours and hours on this game per day, because the average player doesn't have time for that - they come online to relax and have fun. From my own experience, I have been playing for over two years now. The amount I've earned as a moderator is in the millions. Yet I only have a handful of m4 gear. kmpa, you might be one of the players that can afford to spend so much time on this game, or your skill might be out-of-this-world! But this isn't a game just for the very skilled. The average player won't enjoy the game if they can't compete. I'm curious to find out where you got these impressions from. None of us are blaming anyone, we've made it very clear that we are in full support of the game! Otherwise we wouldn't be here putting forward our concerns for a better future! The only "proud as heck" user I can see here is you. As you've said, you're not "the average player", and you can afford to compete in the highest level without buying. We should all "stop crying" and "start trying" indeed. We are all in awe. Jokes aside, takes a lot of short-sightedness to not consider other opinions, as well as hinder constructive discussion through such a condescending tone. It's a shame my this will be my first, and last impression of you. I won't be replying. If you are the average player, bear in mind that upon reaching Generalissimo you won't be able to compete without buying. As part of a (formerly) Takeover Team, if we join your game, and you don't buy, you lose, simple.

    Some final thoughts and goodbye

If I think there's something that's not quite right, I'll say it whether it affects me or not. Yes, I am not short on crystals/garage but this isn't a game just for me. Thanks all for the encouragement, I'll do y'all proud haha! ^Quoting many above responses: Yes, I'm writing not because I want to criticise, but because I want the game to improve. Sharing, I'm hoping, there will be some response, whether it be supportive on Tanki's behalf (mods) or a complete disagreement. Discussion is probably where I opened up to most of my views now. Or perhaps it was just being a moderator - it's amazing how it can affect your perception on the game.

    Some final thoughts and goodbye

Cheers all! Appreciate all the kind wishes! And I am leaving indefinitely. I tjought I would probably come back but I haven't touched Tanki and have neglected my positions, sadly, for the last 2-3 months. I have no intention on returning right now. Yeah maybe. I hope they remove my avatar soon so I can be a bit more liberal with my words. We've barely scratched the surface, I think yes Kind (maybe overly flattering) words, thank you :p At that point there was indeed a family bereavement, though leaving is another matter. I will enjoy uni! 6 long years of doing something I love! Course I won't forget - honestly forum was just as much fun as the game has been. It's been awesome Eh I don't have the time. I have a lot going on for me elsewhere, so I won't stay on top of a game that I've quit! Though I'll check one occasionally :)

    Some final thoughts and goodbye

I never thought I would quit so soon, and post about it on the forum, but don't worry it won't be cheesy, and I won't write a novel while I'm at it. Just some reasons on why I left and some thoughts, on the game. I'm getting busier with uni looming, but the main reason is that Tanki is just not fun to me any more. The first reason is the amount of imbalance. Buyers have too much advantage in the game. The difference between M3/M4 is huge, and let's face it. It might be possible to save for one or two, with good sales planning, and a lot of hours on the game, but with game balance constantly shifting, it's never going to be enough to own a complete garage. With daily missions, supplies are now in even less supply, giving buyers an even larger advantage. I mean, buyers should indeed have an advantage, but not to the point where buying is more important than actually being skilled at the game. Leading on, the second reason is that I feel that there is a constant squeeze on the players themselves, which is not nice. Micro upgrades, Daily Missions, removing crystal boxes, game balance changes, all squeeze on the less wealthy players, who can't afford to micro upgrade their tanks as much, who can't rely on winning battles as a main source of income, who can't afford the variety in their garage to cope with nerfs and buffs. Game balance is constantly being changed, which forces players to invest in more and more. How can you plan purchases ahead if at any point that weapon might be nerfed? Sales are rarer and rarer, and the well established tankmans day that many will have been looking forward to is down from the usual 50%. The daily missions especially was interesting to me, as players actually ended up much worse than the situation was before they were introduced at all. I'm not saying that Tanki had planned this prelaunch, but I can't say I'm surprised. Apologies if this has come across as super critical. There are many things that make it a great game, which is why I think I have been playing so long and eventually joined the staff. This is my main message: Good luck to Tanki, may Unity be a success, and maybe I'll be back sometime soon. Cheers all
