I know that, but the amount of Isidas was high and they seem to be all hunting together. I think they or at least some did it before and were a regular team. Sometimes Smoky 's team up in huge numbers like that as well and that is just as productive as worse for the opponents. In my case teaming up is something that simply at times happens, not because I team up in advance. Though it 's perfectly allowed: I don 't have a problem with that. It 's just that I sincerely hope DM 's don 't get the high amount of Isida 's I see in other gamemodes. You would have to keep on running... ;) It was just somehow funny how they cooperatively went after me when they saw me. So I 'm still wondering: was is the "nubs" word that did it?? :D
-
Hope it 's not going to be a new trend: cooperating Isida 's in DM. Isida is becoming way too popular anyway imo. No surprise: OP, not too demanding and the rewards are high. Granted they can 't heal each other in DM, that 'll be the day... But a wolfpack of Isida 's in DM is still very dangerous. You get easily cornered = multiple beams = game over Made them angry by calling them by a certain name, so than they really came after me. Better not do that on a smaller map than Kungur! :D

Vulcan is definitely OP and Smoky is balanced in my view. Turrets like Thunder and Freeze can use a buf. Just saying that Tanki sometimes has surprising ideas about "balance"... :P The Smoky before the balance with all the criticals was extremely OP. So it got nerfed. A good decision by the Devs. Now Smoky is a decent turret, but it is pretty weak when facing medium and especially heavy hulls with Smoky paints (plenty of them in high rank battles) without using DP. Ofcourse every turret gets negatively effected by paints, but because of the low damage per regular Smoky shot the amount of time needed to kill a well-armoured and protected hull can be like :( or <_< ...even the fast reload or critical can 't fix this. Every Smoky player knows the feeling of despair when for example a Viking/Isida with Savanna gets to close... even with DP... :D

No tips, just keep on playing and be always 100% aware you got a darn weak hull. Using speed and cover on the move is called for, but you 'll still be killed more than others: one of the reasons being that every Tanker sees Hornets and Wasps as easy prey. So make the best of the time you 're Hornet is alive, imo that means using DP. On my alt @Smok-Ti-Thun I play almost only Hornet and also barely use repairkits, so it 's even harder to survive. It can be done, that 's all I try to say and personally, putting aside the sometimes frustating fights you are almost bound to loose, playing with a light hull is great fun! That a medium hull is easier in use and often more effective: no discussion about that. An "advantage" of Hornet is it 's weakness, no paint or micro-upgrade can fix this: only you can, which imo eventually will make you a better Tanker. :)

...and than one day they buf Vulcan and nerf Smoky...it 's Tanki after all! :D
-
Cui bono... Well, you play(ed) quite a lot with a certain M2 in comparison to your M3 's: maybe that had some influence on your "down-grading Vulcan" post?
-
Smoky M2 changes it all. Ofcourse because of the enhanced stats, but also because Smoky is a turret that needs experience/skills to perform well. Most Tankers will have developed plenty of experience at the time they rank to Colonel. At least they will (better: should) know how to aim well, and because Smoky works on every hull, Smoky M2 will seldom be a disappointment. Even Smoky M1 is a fantastic turret: but most beginning Tankers simply lack the experience to use it with success, and that 's why most Tankers rather choose other turrets that have more a kind of instant reward build in it. Rightfully so, though I like the Tanker who sticks with it and slowly uncovers M1 Smoky 's true potential. :)

If he 's the right kind of leader, he already knows that he will have people who will agree and disagree with the actions he will take. A leader gets criticism even insults, let 's say it a part of the job. The wrong kind of people will even try to use your personal life against you. Just shows how low these ones are willing to go. Though in the end you shouldn 't become a leader if you can 't handle that. A Dutch saying: "high trees catch a lot of wind", a similar one in English is: "a big tree attracts the woodsman's axe" They mean the same, but I would definitely prefer the wind... ;)

Glad they 'll include Massacre in the first 6 maps in Tanki X. The Tanki X one looks especially promising: The only Map in Tanki that provides the challenges of fighting on rough terrain. (if you do move that is...) Viking/Smoky on full supplies, except repairkits

Not maybe. +

agreed

Well, the real nubs amongst the Isida players (no insult intended, there are a lot of great Isida players too) do heal a teammate...only one though...they tend to hide behind the large heavy hull of that Vulcan player. "Playing" the drip-style Isida... <_<

Range of Thunder is ok. It 's the best turret for long range after Shaft and Rail, as it should be because those two are made for it. Unfortunately Vulcan is (a lot) better too at long range, stupidiously overpowered as it is. Splash damage used to be a lot better...loved to play with the (very) old Thunder! Thunder is indeed outgunned by Smoky at M3/M4. The much faster reload and often the impact force (depending on hull weight) seals it 's fate.

Isida has indeed a short range...untill it is locked on. It 's astounding how far the beam can stretch before detaching. This is imo one of the main reasons for it 's immense popularity, even in DM 's. You don 't even need a fast hull with Isida, a Viking will do just as well or even better. It 's just a matter of locking on: light hulls will die even if they try to escape as fast as possible. The high DPS will finish them before they have the chance to escape Isida 's grip. With heavier hulls you will mostly loose because of Isida 's self-healing. Isida 's are strong: I see more Isida 's than Firebirds nowadays. That used to be the other way round. Proof enough afaik.

now you remind me on a scene from an already classic movie (Braveheart). No offence! :)
-
They should block DM players from CTF battles... <_< And from TDM as well!
-
Maybe lack of power isn 't so much the issue. A slightly faster reload or a higher splash damage could also do the trick.
-
The new Massacre looks just fantastic! Looks even better to me than the four already existing Tanki X maps. Alexandrovsk, Year 2042 and Industrial Zone are indeed nice Maps. Unfortunately not much choosen in high rank battles. Silence ofcourse is, it 's always been popular. (together with Noise one of those Maps... ) The new shot impact effects are nice. Especially Shaft stands out with that afterglow of the impact. No clue when they will start open testing, but my guess is that they want to have all six Maps working, so Massacre and Iran should be ready first. Besides I guess they will at least introduce all turrets in Tanki X videos before the open testing. The Devs do take their time, and I kinda like that. It should have a very positive influence on the overall quality.

You 're not. Maybe it 's even stronger as Firebird M3/M4 lately. Every battle you go...Isidas. Even in DM...Isidas. Mostly equipped with Viking and the only thing they need to do to be successful in DM: zombie mode Zombie mode: "must kill"..."must kill"...just follow the target you want to kill and don 't mind mines or anything else, apply a health kit if not in reach yet and continue the chase. If close enough: no need for the repairkit, you will kill your target almost always and heal yourself in the meantime. Target killed? Choose next target and repeat..."must kill"..."must kill"..."must kill"... <_< Bunch of nubs, they shouldn 't even do that well in DM: just shows how OP this turret is lately.
