Nowadays regular Tanki "etiquette" slowly infiltrating in XP/BP.

If this goes on, I might loose the ability to complete the Daily Mission Chains... :( :P just kidding. Got the 83.750 crystals mission on top of the 67.000 one. Great mission rewards! (only drawback is earning less crystals/supplies in the meantime, may "have" to go Pro or XP/BP)

If The World Was Coming To An End What Would You Do?
Lord-of-the-Snipers replied to Fresh in Archive
1. No, the world will not end. Humanity might but not by the events mentioned. There will be survivors after floods, earthquakes and deadly plagues. More likely candidates to finish humanity are a huge meteor and a nuclear war and their after effects like dust blocking the sun. 2. What the f... 3. My stock dealer: "sell! sell!" 4. I 'm not Rob and certainly not rich 5. Nope, I 'll just nuke it -
;) Agreed, aim comes first. Good Smoky aiming combined with barely moving can/will still result in nice result with a heavy hull, while on a light hull driving skills become almost just as important as aiming itself... Hunter is an awesome hull for Smoky. Use both Viking and Hunter and though Viking 's stability/armour in some cases wins the day, Hunter has indeed more swing. It 's a very nimble hull in both turning speed and also when tipping/rocking. This including the slightly faster speed and still very decent armour make Hunter imo the better choice also. Hunter is arguably the most allround Smoky hull and due to that: often the most effective. ( Hornet is more fun though...if you can "live" with dying more also... :D ) Short killing times are essential in Tanki: so Smoky paints (many in high rank battles) are indeed devastating to a turret that already requires (a lot) more shots on target than most other turrets. Searching for OP? Better go shopping for Vulcan, Hammer, Isida or Firebird instead. -_-

Interview [Issue 52] [Interview] Tanki Xperiences: The Community's take on Closed Beta
Lord-of-the-Snipers replied to TriNitroToIuene in Newspaper Archive
Looking at some videos I get the (wrong) impression that there is less auto-aim. Also Ricochet seems to shoot a lot faster and maybe there 's also less "bounce time"? Is there a Tanki X Beta tester who can confirm or deny this? -
And that 's why it has got to be nerfed? Yeah, it 's allround, but that also means it doesn 't excel in anything special as well. It 's the full package that makes it a decent turret. Close to worthless at close-range and at long distance it deals only low damage. Besides if you think Smoky is that good, than why not get a Smoky M2 yourself when you become a Colonel? :D

BP is a bit better, but it takes quite some experience to make that happen. With Hornet you won 't be outclassed, don 't worry. Another option is to get a Hornet, play regular and Format with it, get some mues on it etc. At some point when you 've earned enough crystals you could still buy a Wasp that you don 't have to micro-upgrade but only use for XP/BP.
-
Hornet is worth it. Looking at your profile you play mostly Hunter and Hornet, which are more alike than Hunter and Wasp are. Wasp is really different. If that 's all you want: choose Wasp. Your main turret is Thunder which I would prefer to mount on Hunter or Hornet, some Tankers do use it with Wasp, but imo it 's not a very effective combo. (Wasp/Hammer is!) Ricochet suits both Hunter and Hornet way better. With Smoky it 's a matter of taste if you prefer Wasp or Hornet: for myself it 's clearly Hornet (Hunter). Wasp/Rail is at the moment the ideal combo in XP/BP. Pretty tough combo in regular battles though. Mostly light hull Railers have to drug (and do drug) a lot to be successful or even survive. With close-range turrets Wasp imo is better than Hornet, though you hardly use those... So maybe Hornet? :)

I have a good feeling about this...a good start +... is half the battle -_-

Clay is a personal favourite, but definitely not the best paint for everyone (our every situation) Prodigi is my main paint at the moment and does a good job, sometimes I do equip Tiger on my alt. account but than Rails become too much of a threat. Not to mention the Thunders... Tiger helps against Hammer, but Hammer is so powerful that Tiger on a light hull isn 't that impressive after all. Prodigi 's Shaft protection is good, but I rather have Clay with protection against Rico, because now I often get overwhelmed by the barrage, before I have a good chance to fight back. End goal is to make Clay my fully mued main paint. Most likely the only one I will use for a long time. In your case you mostly use Viking so you already have a pretty solid protection from your hull alone. Viking is not really fast so it makes sense to have more protection against close- to medium range turrets, because you will often not be able to avoid them. (a light hull has a better chance to get away from close-range weapons, and if not than your mostly dead anyway because of the high damage that gets dealt) So Rock is a very solid choice for you. Most likely it becomes your main paint because it gives very good protections which you will start to miss when you haven 't got it equipped. Like I described the situation where I prefer the maximum protection against Rail from Prodigi instead of using Tiger. Good Rock Luck! :)

Let 's not go into detail with this one, ok? :D

Your are 100% right, so perhaps I gave the wrong impression. Too many Tankers that are too obsessed with paints, with the outcome if they 're not buying: a garage full of hardly used paints and turrets/hulls begging for micro-upgrades. If for example I now had to choose the minimum amount of paints that would make it easier to get to Generallissimo, I would choose Forester, Tundra, Savanna. Just those three with some mues. Than at Gizmo pick the top paint you expect the most of and stick with it. Might even be Savanna or another good paint you can get from round about Brigadier. Bottomline: paints are helpful, but don 't get carried away with them. You will only use/need a few, so owning many paints is just wasting crystals.

Nice fight, good ol' mod @falcosenna1 joined the party with Wasp/Rail and we smoked (what 's in a name) the peace pipe. :) The battle got pretty heated up as you can see in the picture...

Noticed that too. They seem to bounce a shorter time as a trade off? If so, I kinda like the new Rico.
