Auto Aim is an abomination, designed to flatter. It facilitates players who can not aim properly by allowing them just to point in more or less the general direction of the enemy and score a hit. When in reality they would have missed by a very long way indeed. Each turret when firing a shot has a cone of inevitability. I think it is about 27 - 30 degrees for Rail Gun and probably similar for other weapons. Shaft being the exception except on Arcade. Auto Aim works both Vertically and horizontally, as a cone might suggest. I believe that the game would be very much enhanced if Auto Aim was abandoned altogether. Certainly its demise would demand far more attention to accuracy. I would accept it as a bonus even if it was only discontinued in the horizontal plain and left those players who can not aim up and down, the large assistance that Auto Aim facilitates them. Certainly I do not see why a player should be awarded a hit when missing left or right by a very large margin!

I have noticed an increased frequency of players from the same team mounting. I suppose that it might be some sort of sexual put down or attempted domination pose by immature, small minded, personality deficient adolescents. I used to just shoot them off when using Shaft buy this does not seem to work now. Eventually I can shake them off but some are very persistent. IN that case I just fall over the edge, then taking them with me. If it goes on an on, I /vote name which does work very well. It would be useful if some sort of slippery WD40 or oily substance could be added to the paint, perhaps as an addition to prevent this. I would be happy to pay for it! :) It would be quite amusing watching attempted mounters just fall off and fall over. Perhaps pepper spray might do the trick. In any case is this might better be explained as people who can just not deal with the success of others and do they do other anti social things in public also. :rolleyes: The enemy can do what it wants if they think it profitable. However I have also noted MULTS presumably from the opposing team do this to shaft players that they might consider a nuisance, perhaps they have had their assaults repeatedly thwarted or can not tolerate being picked off. Unless mounting is mutually enjoyed, then it should be prevented by technical means or punished by moderation

A very sensible update. It should go a very long way to help prevent games from being set in far too unbalanced way. Of course with every modification their may be some small minus points but over all very good Their can be less reason now for the Lower Ranks to complain that the Higher Ranks are joining their games, taking over and spoiling things ;)​ . Of course Higher Ranking players would never deliberately set games in such a way to make a huge disparity in Rank Balance just to facilitate a crystal points fest and a veritable slaughter, now would they ;) :) :) :) :tank:

The moderator will not know, they are only acting in good faith because it is a company sale. Your PC will not explode, but this service I believe is an information gathering spy. It will act in a similar way to Face Book. It will provide information about you, our contacts any other information that they want when ever they want it, your entire history anything. to who ever is running the serve Face Book et al is a CIA, NSA invention, this may just by a commercial spy or might even have Russian security service involvement. I do not trust it or Tanki.

It invades ones personal privacy, files , fire wall it is dangerous, I do not believe that it is safe, I do not care if it offers 100,000,000 crystals you will not get me on it and I advise anyone else to think very carefully. The page that was put up as proof it is safe shows nothing of the sort, it just shows take up.

It's really for free and it's safe. I do not believe that it is safe they want access to Fire Wall, images, personal information about yourself and friends, video, images and other files. It is extremely dangerous!!!!!

Nothing is for free. What is the cost, a virus perhaps ? Maybe some outside source will tap into your credit card and all other passwords stored on your PC Or is i t really free?

I think that is really very funny. The developers really do have a real, if perverse, sense of humor. If ever they do not want to continue with Tanki they would certainly do exceptionally well on stage as comedians. Very Good. Obviously they are sound business men and have accessed just how stupid we all are. They are right with that assumption, we all have incredibly short memories as well. The supply debacle: The way they cured drug dependence was to flood the market with cheep and free drugs so that their was no longer any problem because we all became addicted to them. Now every one is hooked and they have increased revenue because everyone shoots up with rusty needles! :lol: They are also effectively more expensive to boot. This place really cheers me up, it is a laugh, better than real life.............. How can Shaft benefit from the changes any more than any other weapon? For a start they normally do not wander around the battle field chasing blue boxes and supplies like other equipment, they are usually planted in a solitary position having to provide their own supplies and that is more often as not extra protection because shaft is a venerable sitting duck. Few of them will be presenting with more than one drug at a time. While I do agree that the recent changes to supplies is unpopular by both sides. The anti drug users, who are disappointed with the increased up take and the drug users, that are so hooked, appear to be suffering from withdrawal symptoms , delirium tremors, craving for a quick fix from a rusty needle. I do not quite see how you can estimate the percentage of the disaffected, against those who support the change. Has the Sunday Times run a Pole. Sure their is a lot of raucous hysteria but that is pretty much par for the course here. Change, nay, even suggest, the slightest change and people are practically jumping off cliffs like lemmings and pulling their hair out sobbing , threatening all sorts of action, insulting any one in disagreement. Their is little sensible dialog or constructive criticism, most comments are lazily incoherent, poorly written text speak, littered with extensive hyperbole assumptions and gross inaccuracies. That may appear to some, that their is extensive support for rebellion, but is their really, or is it just a host of spoiled overexcited adolescents venting their spleen because someone took away their dummy!

I have seen a Tank cumming right out of the Ground like in a horror movie. It was doing other odd things during the game including flying.

It is a very good change. I guess some of us might be a little too conservative and not like change, even when it is for the better.

I think that it would be a good idea if their was a facility for players when setting up a game to elect Parkor as an option. That this selection was for non combative purposes. Players either singularly or in teams could compete by performing Parkor or other Gymnastic acts. That the rules may or may not allow aggressive behavior from other player s or teams. So instead of selecting Control the Flag or what ever, one would select Parkor. Everyone joining Parkor would know the rules for team games and individual pursuits. That no untoward interference is acceptable. That it could be moderated after rules had been set out and formulated by Tanki. If such games did become available, then their would be less excuse for people to mess about during during normal battles! If messing about using Parkor that did not facilitate wining a battle, that is performing Parkor for its own sake then moderators should have the power to penalize during normal battle. The Tanki authority might want some form of compensation if these Parkor games where to come about and become popular because during normal battle games players use supplies.

It is very simple, don't read it then! If that is all that you have to say in contribute towards this or any other post, then don't bother. You must have so much else to do with your time that is more worthy of your attention.

Who is threatening, surely people are just discussing things just like they might in a pub or Coffey House, harmless chat. Though I do guess that people that may have spent thousand or hundreds of £££ $$$ might feel very angry. Just because it is a game does not give the authority permission to disregard the Laws of what ever country their product is sold in. If Tanki is EU based then it will have to comply with EU Law, the same in the US. It is a product much like any other, Tanki is in reality not free for many, some pay a lot of money, Tanky World wide must make prodigious amounts. People have bought things on here having some sort of advertising pressure, only to see that product immediately devalued in some way. When Tanki makes changes, such as to the supplies or to Tank capability it is generally not for purchases only from that date onward but is retrospective and includes good already sold and bought. their might be an argument that the trade description act might have been invoked. Perhaps their might be loopholes for on line things such as Kindle owning the books that have been bought and may have the right to remove them from someones account if it had been decides some regulation had been contravened. The laws ins the US and EU are often slow to react to the internet but they do catch up eventually and huge multi million fines have been levied on some companies. If it as me I would scrap new supplies and just allow every on e else to use their supplies up then that would be the end, however they make Tanki a lot of money so, that will not happen.

Small print does not curtail EU Law or US Law. It is an advisory, a frightener. Some of it might be binding and other bits not it would all depend on its legality. What would be required is a detailed knowledge and understanding of appropriate field Law. The sort of person that I envisage taking this to Law would be a student at Law School. They would not make any noise on here, they would do their homework and then take it on, perhaps using the college for advice. Many of these people will have parents who might be Lawyers who may specialize or have links with colleagues that specialize in the appropriate Law.. We would only hear about it when it went to court. It would be a quiet guy or gall, not a boastful big mouth. The later just likes to make a nose but would most probably not approach Law or even seek advice.

The amount that people claim they spend is getting ever bigger. :P It is a little like the fish that got away. ;) I do not accept many people have left, what evidence is there. I have little sympathy for Tanki or many players on here, they winge what ever happens. I fully accept that their may be a legal implication. I have suggested this on more than one occasion in the past. Certainly a company operating under EU Laws has to behave reasonably. The customer has rights. Buy something at a cost and one would expect the sale of good to match the sales claim at the time.. Personally I believe if Tanki it is an EEC registered company, that Tanki would loose very heavily, with potentially massive costs and legal bills because they would loose. However if they are only Russian, then who knows. I hope that legal action is taken and that Tank from then on has to comply. We shall see. Personally I doubt that many on here will do anything. In the US Class Action can be taken. I do not think that this is available in the EU and certainly doubt that in Russia. However their are many US customers on Tanki and the US would only be too happy to take something away that was Russian. On the other hand as Tank is a Russian company, I would urge them to tread lightly because at the moment due to the situation in the Ukraine and the bandwagon effect of EU blindly following US foreign policy, then Tanki EU funds might get frozen regardless and we prevented from playing, either by the Western Powers or in retaliation by Russia.????????

Regardless of liking the update or not, the endless threats of leaving, often repeated multiple times by the same player, are little more than emotional blackmail. What perpetrators of these idle threats do not realize is that the people that they are trying to emotional black mail, are not the parents of the spoiled child but hardened business people and Russian too, whom no doubt have even harder, tougher masters. It is falling on deaf ears and because the threats are idle and often heard, no credence is ever given to them in the least. I do not believe that the developers go deliberately out of their way to annoy the mass of people and on the whole perhaps they do their best. However I do not believe that they would miss any opportunity to increase revenue. The complaint about over drug reliance and abuse was persistent and increasing. They took their time to evaluate the situation and cynically saw an opportunity, to exploit the situation further and increase revenue. At the same time, they tried to give the impression to those who abhor drug use and to those that did not use them, that this was a new beginning. That the new system far from being an abuse and is in fact the mark of the skilled and the discerning player. To try to head off the anticipated revolt, they flooded the battle field with more drugs and gave us all large quantities of drugs for our garage. It is a master stroke. Few if any will leave, those that bought drugs will mainly continue to do so and an added benefit is that most other non or slight users will have become addicted and will provide new increased incomes. To top it all as a joke they effectively increased the cost by reducing the effective time of operation of each drug. In fact drug use and uptake now is hugely increased. It is too early to say what will happen when the free supply's run out but my guess is, that they have hit the nail on the head and their goal will be established, more drug use and hugely increased revenue $$$£££. If people really where leaving in quantities then the developers would be under no illusion and would do something about what ever was the cause because it would stop the money rolling in. The only other things that folk could do is to Boycott Drugs/supplies completely. That would require a wide compliance and I do not see that happening, it would be effective however because it is a major source of income. The only other way that I think might work is to present a calm, reasoned proposal that wold be more lucrative and would be more appealing to them and bring in more players for more cash. A very tall order if you ask me. These are smart cookys these Russian Tanki people, they are no fools, they are in control, not the spoiled child, they are the Parent. They can give but they can take away too. If you are naughty they know how to deal with you!

So all the Shafts use drugs you still end up dead. They just cancel out Drugs ruin games for both sides. However they are here we have to deal with them. The new ruling changes things , even more people are using drugs because they are being peddled so hard by Tanki. I just wish that they would peddle Pro Games with as much vigor!

I like many others have felt, that excessive drug use was killing the game. It was not such a problem if on one or two users were reliant but large numbers or whole teams relying was a completely different story. People wrote and complained heavily for some time. Eventually this smart cool down was proposed a little while back. I was prepared to wait and see how it would go, give it a chance. I was extremely disappointed with the V Log. The language used was contradictory to any hope that the drug problem was being tackled! Instead they harped on about how the skillful players would be to embrace the new system. They provided us all with new drugs doubling our supplies, fludded the battle field with a bountiful supply of drugs. The community is now awash with drugs. Their is a far greater uptake of drugs now, their will be a greater reliance on them. They are very addictive hence the nick name. I believe that the Tanki Authorities have been very cynical here, just like they appear in other circumstances. They I feel the intention is that he uptake of drugs will increase. Drugs last less time at the same price, so they will make more out of them. Their is absolutly no skill in acquiring and using drugs. Their has been in increase in intra-team antisocial behavior with players pushing and forcing others out of the way in attempts to gain access. A pathology of narrow and shortsightedness has developed where the drug appears to be the be all and end all with less time for positive team support. I feel that it is a disaster but not for the same reasons as the heavy 2,3,4 habitual drugger. I agree withe the original poster that the higher ranks come out best in all of this, they are overflowing with drugs now. The pro games are far too expensive as they are with not enough purchase choice. Tanki obviously has to make income but surely not at the expense of damaging the game, surely. I suggest that Pro Passes should be available much in the same way as Supplies. That is singularly a game at a time, most expensive, in multiples and in the equivalent packages as supplies are that is 16,000 and 100,000 crystal packages, the lest way to purchase per pass. This way Tanki will not lose money. They could even introduce drug max with full drug use and keep the new smart cool down for those who like that. The only problem at the moment with Pro Games is that one may start off a game and no one will come along to play. It could be a waste of money and time just hanging around for a few players to take up. Certainly I feel that the Pro Games aught to have better support. They are the best games, the most fair, so perhaps just a choice between to drug or not to drug, this is the question and the answer.

People always think that the grass is greener on the other side. Long Range weapons like shaft tend to be stationary for long periods of time. They do not have many opportunities as a rule for collecting, crystals, gold boxes, or supplies, and so do not tend top up. They usually have to provide the vast majority of their own supplies. I would say that the new rule does not benefit long range weapons more than the short. The new ruling and the excess surfit of drugs on the field, the free gifts and pushing of drugs by Tanki has very much greatly increased the use of drugs much to the detriment of this game. In effect they are also more expensive or for the same cost last less long. I believe that Tanki has behaved very cynically and has no intention what so ever in reducing the reliance on drugs, in fact the complete opposite, they want more addicts to exploit!
