    Let's Discuss Hornet!

I bought an M0 Hornet today since it was dirt cheap (175 crystals). I have to say, I'm liking it. Faster than Hunter and more stable than Wasp, it's the best for flag capping. Pairs especially well with Smoky, although rail is good too. The M3 version looks really cool too.

    Let's Discuss Dictator!

I don't think it's an issue with heaviness; it's an issue with the shape. The turret is located on the upper part of the tank, so when you shoot to try to get yourself back upright, it's farther from the center of gravity and the recoil from your weapon therefore has less effect. Good prevention would be to not get flipped over in the first place.

    Let's Discuss Titan!

I'm somewhat regretting the fact that I chose Mammoth over Titan. I thought Mammoth to be better at the time, but after looking at the stats again I think I would have liked Titan better. Titan has a similarly massive amount of HP, but it has better speed, allowing you to utilize the health better since you will be better able to evade attacks. Not to mention that Titan can push people off the map with much ease (really great on Gravity). Don't get me wrong, my M1 Mammoth has served me well and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future, but Titan would be more useful. Times like this make me wish there was a "Sell" button in the garage; I wouldn't even care if you got less than 100% of your crystals back.

What are Tanki tanks made out of?

    They're made of pixels, duh.

    Let's Discuss Thunder!

I'm liking Thunder a lot better now. It's great for fire support in the right hands, but since the advent of the Ricopocalypse, I'm having a hard time competing with the massive number of M1 Rico users constantly spamming their shots vaguely in my direction. I've MU'd the damage up 2 levels, so now the damage it deals is fairly close to a M0 Smoky crit. Very effective in general, I personally use it with Dictator.

    Let's Discuss Titan!

Power means acceleration, or how long it takes for the tank to reach its maximum speed. Titan is probably the best hull for pushing. Here's a quick mathematical explanation. I'm just going to use M0 Titan and M0 Hornet as examples. Force = Mass x Acceleration Mass (Titan) = 2600 Acceleration (Titan) = 1000 Force (Titan) = 2,600,000 Mass (Hornet) = 1259 Acceleration (Hornet) = 882 Force (Hornet) = 1,110,438 As you can see, the push force of Titan is much higher than the push force of Hornet. Mammoth has more mass than Titan, but it has about a third of the acceleration, so even Mammoth isn't as good as Titan for pushing.

    Let's Discuss Twins!

It means Rate of Fire. Anyway, I don't see Twins very often for one reason or the other. It's probably since Rico is more popular. Twins has several strengths: 1. Good knockback per shot. At medium range, if you can keep your aim trained at a Railgun or Shaft user, they won't be able to hit you very well 2. Great damage per second. Maybe a little less than Rico in the short term, but because you don't really need to reload, it's better for prolonged combat. 3. Not many people expect it. Like I said, it's not very common, so most people don't wear Twins-protective paints. On Rio or other maps, I like to steamroll through with a Mammoth/Twins combo. Not much can stop you, especially if you're drugged up. Titan would probably be a little better in this regard, but I don't have it at the moment.

    Let's Discuss Dictator!

Dictator is, at the moment, my favorite hull. I pair it with Shaft/Railgun, and it works beautifully. 1. Tall height- this lets you shoot above your teammates, assuming they're not using Dictator as well. This perk goes especially well with Shaft. For me, the extra hitbox is negliable, since if you are being hit as a Dictator, you're probably going to be hit as, say, a Wasp too, in most cases. The height is also great for getting Gold Boxes, since as long as you can get the back end underneath the Gold Box, no hull (short of an untimely Titan pushing you) will be able to steal it. Unless you're destroyed, but the health should be able to keep you alive provided you haven't been in prolonged combat. 2. Good health- Dictator can survive at the bare minimum one fully charged Shaft shot. You won't have to worry as much about enemy Shafts as long as you have a few health kits with you. It's also tougher than Hunter, so 1-on-1, you're probably going to win against Hunter. I think it has a little more HP than Viking, but I'm not sure. Correct me if I'm wrong. 3. Nice speed- Not quite as fast as Hunter, but it's still pretty decent. Better than Viking, I think. You won't be able to outrun a FireWasp, but it'll give you some breathing room. 4. Great maneuverability- Much better than Viking, and better than Hunter the last time I checked. Good for general traversing. 5. I like the look of it. It's very futuristic, especially at M3. 6. Not something you're going to capitalize on very often, but it's also one of the best hulls for ramming people thanks to the extended treads at the front. It won't push people very far (that's Titan's job), but it will disrupt their aim if they're on a incline. Overall, I think Dictator is underrated. It might get more obsolete towards the later ranks (until Generalissimo), but it's still quite useful in the right hands.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

Hmm, must have been me then. Thanks for letting me know. M1 Smoky is available to me now, but I'm probably not going to get it. Not much of an improvement over M0. I think I'll get M1 Shaft next.

    Let's Discuss Paints!

Just out of curiosity, what paint do you think looks the best? From what I can tell, Jade and Electra look great.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

If every weapon was equivalent to another in any circumstance, then there would be no point in having different weapons. Think about it. A knife is great for cutting vegetables, but do you expect me to drink soup with it? Likewise, a spoon is great for drinking soup, but do you expect me to cut vegetables with it? If every weapon must be equivalent to another in any circumstance, I might as well do everything with a spork. Each weapon was meant for a different playstyle and a different situation. Shaft was meant for snipers, not close range assault players. It was meant to be used on larger maps with sightlines, not small ones. If you don't like Shaft's performance on small maps, use a more suitable weapon. I find that Shaft's performance on large maps, like Barda, more than compensate for its lackluster performance on small maps, so it's a good purchase if you like sniping.

    Let's Discuss Smoky!

I'm gradually warming up to Smoky. It's not that bad. It's always fun to one-shot FireWasp players with a Smoky crit and watch their reactions. The main advantage Smoky has is its unpredictability. Your opponents will never know if the next shot they take will be a deadly crit, unlike Thunder. Somebody who knows what they're doing will usually retreat or at least run away. Smoky is also really annoying to enemy snipers, as it jostles their aim a lot and a crit doesn't suffer damage falloff, so they can be OHKO'd from across the map if you're lucky enough.

    Let's Discuss Shaft!

Shaft is still extremely deadly if you know how to use it and are on the right map. Hornets, Wasps, and Hunters don't really stand a chance unless they're drugged up. 1-2 Shafters on a team in TDM or CTF can lock down nearly the entire map from enemy assault. What many people forget is that Shaft is very specialized. Don't bother using it in DM or small maps, as it will fare very poorly. Be careful of players with Lead paint, and keep in mind that you can't one shot Dictator/Viking/Titan/Mammoth users. In the case of Dictator/Viking users, one fully charged shot and one follow-up arcade shot will usually take them out. If you're going against enemies with Shaft, keep the following in mind. 1. Don't use open routes. You won't stand a chance if you run around where they can see you in plain sight. Use side routes. 2. Shaft has a terrible rotation speed. Freeze is almost a certain kill on Shafters if you can sneak up from the side or behind. 3. Occasionally, a Shafter will notice you coming and duck around a corner. Do not under any circumstance go around that corner. They probably have a fully-charged shot primed at you. Instead, see if you can sneak up on them from behind. If you have Thunder or Ricochet, you can hit them with splash damage/bouncing rounds respectively.
