At the moment, Tanki will not let me play. The client is crashing hard. If it loads, it crashes before a battle can start. It usually requires Task Manager to close it out. HTML5 in Chrome loads, reloads, restarts, nothing will work long enough to play.
-
Massacre is crap, but Archipelago is worse. Those maps should not be options in MM.

There are 11,000 players at the moment. Why do I keep getting stuck with four-star Generals? Why are the 4-stars always on the opposing team? What gives? Slowdeath is Captain with M1.10 and M2.3 equipment. I'm one to argue that 2-star Generals in battles including Legends isn't that big of a deal, but that is high M2s against M3s. They tend to be able to hold their own. M1s against M3 cannot. I understand the broadening of the ranks in the MMs, but you got to set a limit. The gold-star ranks mostly have M3 equipment, at least the buyers do. Gold-diamonds only have M1 unless they are buyers, and those are the grinding ranks were it is dumb to buy the extra equipment in the shop. Warrants through Colonels grind. That is just the way the game has always been. You pretend you will fix it with seven levels instead of four, but I think you are bluffing. Even if you get it done, it isn't likely to make much difference. If you stick players against each other where the low ranks can't be effective, nothing will improve. Put limits on the MM rank differences. Captains should never face Field Marshals.

Tanki, you malicious, deceitful trolls. Regarding Captain Slowdeath, which, to be clear, is four diamonds, not four stars, and still stuck with an M1.10 turret and only just obtained my M2.3 hull, you stick me in a match with three full Generals (four stars), a Marshall, and a Field Marshal for good measure. I don't know how my team won with mostly Brigadiers and me, the lowest rank in the match by at least three ranks, fighting high M3 tanks. You stink, Tanki. You don't care. You think it is funny. And the match before, you stuck me in a failing team with less than two minutes remaining, and you short me stars because my score was only 65. I was in fourth place! It wasn't my fault half of my team didn't know what to do. I was not only active, I slowed the loss significantly. Again, Tanki, you mock me. You mock us all. You brag about the stupid overdrives. You pretend all your new nonsense helps. Well, the continuously dropping player numbers contraindicate. You are pretending. You are in denial regarding your failure, and you take revenge on us by sticking us in hopeless battles and cheat us out of stars. Seriously, do you think it humorous?

Crap mode. More junk added to the game.

Has the client been sabotaged? It just crashes now. I can't play. HTML5 doesn't work. It is unplayable. I have a graphics card, but either my laptop won't use it in the browser, or it is too old. Without the client, I cannot play. I assume that is Tanki's plan. Drive all players away, at least all the English-speakers.
-
Overdrive is still nothing but frustration. Spider, does Tanki compensate you for tooting the Dev's horn? In several ways, I've tried to find weakness in my argument, but teams of fat tanks always win. The Mammoth and Titan ODs are TOO STRONG! The Hunter OD is sad. It occasionally lets me use my skill to accomplish something, but nearly always, I stop one tank and die while it rolls on after the microsecond delay. I can have Titan dead to rights, it pops the dome, I die, it fights on, even if I stalled it with the EMP (since EMP doesn't reset OD). For Mammoth, my only hope is to force it to activate too early to accomplish the run. Regardless, I die. Mammoth OD speed is stupid fast. All tanks but Mammoth are too slow. Mammoth is too fast normally; it is stupid insane too fast on OD. ODs suck. Hornet OD is hardly useful. Sure, it is better than Hunter, but Hornet OD is nothing to brag about. If you can stand to poke around like a slug, fat tanks can't be beat. (And Mammoth has that lightning-fast boost with OD.) Mostly, Hunter OD delay is too long, it is too short in range, and the effect wears off far too fast.

If you see this, don't be upset about ranting. The majority of comments on MM have been about how lopsided battles tend to be and about how lower-ranked and nonbuying players are so outgunned on average. Note that MM is based on rank. (Only, in my experience.) The more players playing at the moment an MM is being organized, the smaller will be the rank range. If you play evenings in the English-speaking countries, there are few players. The longer it takes to fill the MM, the wider the spread of ranks as they get desperate to fill a match in less than three minutes. The above is the main thing I think might help you. Read on if you have the time. ? MM hasn't worked since the trials. There is no way to match players by skill and complementary characteristics. Gearscore is blatantly irrelevant. It is better now than it used to be. It is a little more indicative of equipment now, but with nearly five years experience in Tanki, equipment isn't the most important factor. Sure, M1.5 has a bad time against M2.10 (and M3 anything), but as 1LT Slowdeath, I assure you gearscore is generally pointless. I can be first against Brigadiers or last against WO5s. It is mostly luck for any given MM round. The better your skills, the better you average, but when you don't have protection against the best players on the opposing team, there just isn't much you can do. I suggest saving crystals and waiting for sales. Figure out what you like best, and specialize on that equipment. I like close combat. OKDad70 spent most of the time as Viking-Twins. That used to be fun. Now it is pedantic. Tanki took away the unique characteristics of most turrets and hulls, and now, just focus on what you think is most successful for you. Slowdeath has avoided any expenditures on hulls. Hunter only. Slowdeath has a Firebird (M1.10) and a Freeze (M2.6). I use the Firebird almost all the time because when I switch to the Freeze, I don't do as well despite the significantly improved stats. I slowly upgrade my equipment when MUs are on sale. I minimized my protections to three at first. I've expanded as M2s become available to my rank, and I bought them when on sale. Saving crystals and waiting for sales is the only way nonbuyers can make it at all. In the middle ranks, it is torturous grinding regardless. It might get a little better if they switch to 7 Ms instead of 3 Ms. I don't know why the switch is so delayed. I wonder if they gave up on the idea. It might help, maybe a lot, but I expect little change. It will seem a little more encouraging to see regular rank-ups instead of weeks once reaching the Lieutenant ranks. I'm guessing they intended to revamp the ranks as well as the modification levels. If they gave any information, I've missed it. IMO, Tanki used to be fun. I mostly play now because I'm fairly good at it. I can't really think of any reason to encourage anyone to start playing. I can hardly think of any reasons to keep playing. MM is certainly one of the big drawbacks, and you play MM, or you spend lots of money and lots of time looking for adequate Pro battles. (At least in Western time zones with under 5k players on line.)

I do not understand how anyone can say Hornet has the best overdrive. When a player activates the overdrive, I (as 1LT Slowdeath) lose if it is Titan, Mammoth, Wasp, or Viking. I can beat Hunter half the time. I can always beat Hornet. I can often beat Dictator. Heck, I can get away from the bomb 10-20% of the time. I often see the Viking explode too, from self-damage, but I always lose against Titan and Mammoth ODs. Yes, I see Mammoths die with their buzz on, but they usually don't, and they always kill me. I've had them kill me when the my Hunter OD worked. They stop, but before I have gotten away, and I die. They roll on after their second-delay. Hunter's overdrive is slow charging, too short in range, too short in duration, and too long in delay before actual activation. It is extremely frustrating to attack and trigger the OD to realize that the other Hunter was one tick ahead. Bombs go off half the time before the Hunter OD can kill it. Slowdeath is a Hunter. There is no other option. The hunter OD is weak, too weak. Mammoth and Titan are too strong. I've seen five tanks sit under a dome and score ten kills in the 20 seconds (more than half being spawnkills). When I use my M4 Titan ask OKDad70, it is amazing, but I seem to only be able to use the dome once per match, or a second time at the end if it lasts that long. It seems to take over 3 minutes to charge. I don't know how I see so many domes in my Slowdeath matches. Granted, it seems the dam bombs are most popular. I find most bombs to be total wuss-moves. Suicide missions for one kill are simply pathetic. Finally, I repeat what I've written several times since the initial trial of the initial OD. ODs suck. The ODs are pathetic. Especially the Hunter OD. ODs have never proven more than occasionally useful and always annoying and frustrating.

Tanki, you cheated me out of Turn participation in the War yesterday. Are you going to fix it? I didn't get my container, either.
-
Go to the "Complaints" forum. They suppose it is for emergencies. Not being able to confirm choices for the war is an emergency.
-
Cannot confirm my War choices. It keeps saying refresh page and try again.
-
"Unable to confirm the choice. Refresh the page and try again" For Slowdeath (First Lt) I keep getting the message. How do I get it to work?
-
Why does Mammoth overdrive charge so fast? I've seen Mammoth activate the kill static six and seven times in battles. Something isn't right! The weakest overdrive (Hunter) was most recently nerfed. The strongest overdrives, Mammoth and Titan, seem to be only beefed. What gives?

Do game data show the game is only paying players now? https://ru.tankiwiki.com/Челленджи Free players will earn more from the regular battles and missions. No point in worrying about the challenge at all. 2000 stars for players who cannot or will not buy premium will require playing approximately 7 hours per day for 28 days in a row. That is unreasonable. No free players will do that. Even if they try they will fail. There are obviously players who play about 10 hours per day, but I cannot understand that, and I assume it is a very low percentage. Honestly, it seems Tanki is trying to drive away all but the high-hour, high-spending players. Perhaps Tanki assumes casual players simply don't care, and they will keep playing casually. Maybe, but I notice the average daily count keeps going down. Oh well. 2000 stars at 1.5 stars per battle average is over 1300 matches. That will give a range of about 200k crystals to over 500k crystals. How does 47,500 for the free tier in the challenge stack up to that? Only 60 repair kits? Practically nothing. The challenge is a meager addition to what free players will get just for playing. It is practically an insult. If a player plays an average of 10 matches per day, trying to get the missions each day, 404 stars seems a reasonable expectation. The challenge, at that point, will have rewarded 7,500 crystals. (Not noticeable.) 3 containers (Four weeks of all missions will result in 12 containers from the regular weekly rewards.) 40 repair kits and 10 Tankoins. The challenge will not be noticed by free players. Challenges are simply a small incentives for paying players to keep buying premium and battle passes.

Worst challenge so far.

The self-destruct glitch has gotten worse. Flying hacks still happen, but self-destructing when one finds oneself on top of another tank has gotten ridiculous. You are probably laughing that that we put up with it. I bet you know how to fix it, and you did it this way on purpose. It isn't funny.

Slowdeath is First Lieutenant. I assume that won't change with the 7mod-levels. If I'm to believe I'll take no degradation, please elaborate. Slowdeath has a seldom used M2.7 Freeze, an M1.10 Firebird, and an unused M0.0 Smoky. (I started the account intent on using only Firebird, but an opportune kit in the garage resulted in the Freeze. I'm slowly microupgrading it, but when I use it, I don't like the results, and I switch back to the Firebird.) I have M1.10 Hunter, and M0.1 Titan, which is simply too slow. I can't stand it. (Though the shield is by far the strongest overdrive in the game. I'm not sure how some people seem to always have it available. For OKDad70, it seems once per MM is average, twice if I'm lucky.) Slowdeath has Brutus at level 16 (but usually out of batteries, so I save up for special events). I find protections to be essential, but that usually just means frustration because we only have three. Slowdeath has managed to obtain the following: Badger (Freeze) M2.6 (31%) (Seldom use. Good Freeze kills anyway, and one doesn't need protection against poor Freeze users.) Lion (Rico) M2.3 (28%) Only recently acquired since it is restricted to 1LT. Owl (Gauss) M2.3 (28%) Recently upgraded to M2 from M1.10. Indispensable. Always being nailed by these. Still one-shotted far too often. Fox (Firebird) M1.10 (25%) Dolphin (Smoky) M1.10 (25%) Eagle (Shaft) M1.10 (25%) Who will those be affected? Will the only change be to cost? I'm not much skeptical of an even scaling of cost, but it seems far too likely that what I have will be degraded. I'm needing more protections, obviously. What will happen there? Will I be able to get to the more needed M2 protections sooner? My M1.10 Firebird: Given M2 unlocks at Major, I have a long way to go. M1.10 = M2.0 is the middle of the modification progression. Will my M1.10 convert to an M3.5 with the exact same specs? Will I be able to microupgrade more? Will whatever corresponds to M2.0 still not be available until Major? It seems to me the 7-level system will be significantly better for entirely new players, but I'm skeptical that it will help me. I'm sure it won't help my mostly M4 OKDad70 account. I doubt there will be adequate explanation offered. Likely, we will have to figure it out trial and error.

Viki likes the sound of her own voice. She used to be a mod. You can guess why she isn't still. The devs are focused on adding new stuff so there is more to spend real money on. They also seem intent on increasing complexity and frustration levels. Hazel still pays lipservice to counterplay, but there is no counter to most of the overdrives. There is no counter to facing 8 turrets with only three protections. The game is just frustration, and I'm trying to figure out why I'm still playing.
-
Are you new or just clueless? The mods routinely delete complaints. They have their reasons, and I disagree with all of them, but they hide most comments. They hide all comments that repeat anything (even tangentially) that is already listed on the head page. It isn't for complaining and venting. They pretend it is some sort of emergency triage forum, but they quash any conversations before they get substantive.

HTML5 is crap. I tried HTML5 again, and it was worse that last time I tried it some months ago. Total CRAP! The user interface is too different, and it just isn't right. The stutters and frame rates are impossible. (Yes, I have an older machine, but it has Nvidia graphics card. I double checked the settings. I can't swear it is working properly.) Please keep supporting the client. I cannot play without it. Of course, if you force HTML5, I won't have any regrets just quitting. I tried the mobile version some time back and hated it. What I just played in HTML5 is at least as bad as the mobile.

Diesel and Spider: Y'all are playing more than I'm willing to. Except Saturdays, I'm not willing to play more than 10 MM. (I don't play Pro, despite usually maintaining Premium. It just doesn't work well.) I usually only play until I accomplish the missions. I really don't like it when it takes 9 or 10. I just don't get done if it takes more than 10. Mission rewards, especially all three weekly rewards, are not enough to keep one supplied with repair kits. One must at least buy premium, and a battle pass once in a while. At least, that is what I find for my playing style and skill. My RKs go down fast if I miss any of the weekly mission rewards. Anyway, I think they suppose it to be challenging, but it is only frustrating. I decided to accomplish a challenge a while back for the Hunter Prime. None of it mattered that month because I was playing a lot. Now, 1.5 hours online seems too much. Needing 10 missions is at least that long. The frustration level exceeds the fun level at this point. As to mobile, I tried a couple of days and decided it was impossible. It was just too different. It wasn't anything I expected. I haven't tried again. I also never figured how to link it to my accounts. I assume it isn't hard, but it seemed counterproductive for trying it out. I figured if I couldn't get the hang of it on a new account, there was no hope on a high-level account.

I think Tanki hates the players. I just got a 15x top-3 for a weekly. I thought they agreed that was a bad mission. We can't change weekly missions. We just don't get our prizes. Tanki thinks we are sheep for fleecing. Fewer players log on every day. Oh well. It wouldn't be so bad except Slowdeath just ranked to 1LT (3-diamonds). It seems in all my battles now, I am the lowest rank player. 2 or 3 red stars are common, and 1 and 2 gold stars, and occasional 3-stars (which invariable have M3 equipment already). It seems I'm the only one still stuck with all M1 equipment. I'm only now beginning to be able to obtain the M2 protections, and they are costly. I spend too much cash on the occasional Premium. I'm not buying the shop kits. So, if I'm in the top three, it is because I'm on the losing team. It might take 70 missions to get 15x top-3.

I've decried overdrives since first announced, before it was implimented. I wrote pages (as you may be aware) against the original overdrive (Dictator's), and I wrote pages more after the seven were released. They are a net negative for play and counterplay. Overdrives are not fun. Overdrives are frustration. Of course, you gotta use what you get to the best of one's abilities. Oh well.
-
Hazel always lauds counterplay, but there is none with Hunter OD. It is worthless. There is no use in it. Sure, when supporting, it can be useful, but when attacking, it maybe hits one tank of a group. Even if it gets them all, one's own tank is dead by the time the first kill is accomplished because the other tanks are active again. The delay is too long. The range is too short. The stun is much too short. Having knocked out opponent supplies is worthless while they run hide after your tank dies. It is wothless. No one should use Hunter, but it is what I'm stuck with for Slowdeath. Hunter OD is total crap. Titan dome is strongest unless an attacking Hunter survives long enough to get close enough. Mammoth is still absolutely unbeatable. Maybe not for gold-nukes, but for attacking, it kills and survives all in range. Wasp is probably weakest, and the bomb is such a wuss move, but at least it always gets at least one kill. Hunter misses more than it hits and rarely lasts long enough for even the one kill. Hornet has its merit, and it can be satisfying. Dictator is only effective in team support, and Viking results in too many wasted shots and self-destructs. Overall, all overdrives are the opposite of counterplay. They are almost entirely frustration, either for the player or the opponents. Non-Hunters whine about Hunter's OD not because it is effective against them, but because it is simply annoying. It interrupts, usually only for an annoying but harmless delay. Make OD an option in pro battles. Take it out of MM.
