Nah, he found it and modified it slightly, but there was definitely a copyright issue that came up and I think it's not that the thing was definitely copyright (Because I think it fell under creative commons) but nobody could be bothered going through the hassle so we stopped using it. tl;dr, the old logo was copyrighted.
