I agree that particular update really was not necessary, but even when hulls varied much more in hp, players still really only used one hull. overdrives are going to be important to change that. so you just want to cancel overdrives because it MIGHT make things more unbalanced? ok...

why are people so against uniqueness in the game??? do you not see how basically everyone uses viking?? the new overdrives should add much more variety of hulls spotted in the battlefield...

you're all very convincing and bring up good points, but unfortunately despite all the numbers players still seem to prefer viking.. hop into any battle and they make up the vast majority of hulls used. even if the turret does not necessarily make sense with the hull, lots of people still mount striker or smoky on viking even though statistically speaking they are better off using hunter... also I would think a substantial hull would most players priority? It was for me anyway. I think players prefer just to use one hull and then fuss more over turrets since thats where the dynamic game play unique to tanki comes in. Viking would be a perfect choice for that type of player.

yay! well lots of turrets force you to wear protection, firebird protection is basically a must in every battle, especially with all the alts that do the same effect as firebird just post a screenshot maybe? that should work

you're the only person i know thats actually making the switch. like you said, its been a couple years now since they did that, you would think by now the vast majority of players would be using hunter today. however, thats not the case. I think it has probably more to do with social status of viking, making you look cooler in battle, maybe players respect you more if you use viking, idk. probably more of an issue in the russian community.

any alteration suggestions for shaft and ricochet? i just got them both m4 and dont have alts for either of them.

players who use dictator and hunter are few and far between, wasp has become more effective at gold box hunting, since golds now drop very quickly after they are announced, and wasp can cover a larger portion of the map to find it faster. hunter technically has more stability than viking (which is why i use hunter) but most players would prefer the speed viking gives you over stability.

I just recently got my rico to m4, and noticed it shoots enough bullets to take down heavy hulls with 50% protection, even if they use a repair kit... and no, they were not low on health, just spawned. crazy... maybe its a good thing there are no actually decent alterations for this turret lol

thunder for sure. its such a nubby turret, with little skill required to use. but my biggest problem is that every single thunder player seems to have this aura of cockiness, and think they're pro whenever they get a kill. also lol @ all the people complaining about duplet, just get hammer protection. the alteration is only effective against enemies that dont have higher protection, otherwise standard settings does more damage... as an isida main im kinda suprised to see how many people think its annoying to get killed by isida... like as an avid isida player myself, if im going to use up all my turrets energy to kill you, you should feel honored lol.

viking needs to be heavily reworked, or hunter and dictator need to be buffed. Their is literally no reason to be using dictator/hunter over viking. The hull has literally taken over tanki, like 75% of all players main with viking. it's ridiculous. its new overdrive is only going to make the hull even more overpowered. Its far better than most of the other overdrives the other hulls have. like, name one situation where having your reload cooldown decreased would not be useful??? the other hulls overdrives are usually much more situational.

You do have a point, but unfortunately, its kinda always been like that. It always seems that they are trying to keep the more popular turrets powerful. Firebird being one of them. Along with Railgun, Thunder, and Ricochet...

i agree that freeze needs to be reworked (make freeze effect more potent) but you cant really complain about its damage, as after this whole firebird and freeze update frenzy, in the end, freeze has had its damage increased. the firebird burn time can easily be removed from a well timed repair kit as well.

As an avid striker user I was really looking forward to this update, only to be disappointed. My striker is M4 and it said the changes would be most noticeable at the higher modifications, yet the lock on time doesn't feel any different, and the projectile speed improvement is hardly noticeable. Im guessing that the developers didn't want to over buff like they did with the last recent balance updates, but striker of all things, was probably in most need of an over buff...

Ok im really sick of the "Pay 2 Win" argument everyone is making now. The only time that argument is somewhat valid are the ranks below marshal, where people who pay have easier access to expensive kits in the garage that give them equipment that does not normally unlock until 3 ranks above. Remember, even tho all the kits are available in the shop, you can still buy kits in the garage, for crystals, not real currency. so yes, if you dont buy, you have to be a little less reckless with your crystals, and save them. In reality the only things buyers have an advantage over non buyers in is a bigger arsenal in their garages, but none of it is plain out better or a higher modification that you dont also have access to. I personally, have never bought anything until i reached the rank of legend just recently. I have alt accounts that many people accuse of being a "buyer account" but i havnt spent a dime on it, im just careful with the garage purchases i make. in conclusion, tanki is not P2W, you're just bad at saving and spending your crystals wisely.

lol. sadly, you're asking the wrong guy. i did not main with isida and mammoth my whole tanki career, but a good chunk of it i did. Basically I relied heavily on pro battles, specifically poly cp (where isida+mammy shines). Then i would cherry-pick the missions i knew i could do easily for completing my mission chains. Lucky for me i got to legend before MM came out, being that MM is anyone who uses a heavy hull and a short range turret worst nightmare.

being a legend with most of the equipment I want m4 already, you would think life for me would be at its best.. but in reality, things get repetitive, and progression is slow.
