The hull is basically being abused, and there will be a lot of backlash from the community however when the devs decide to nerf it. your talking to someone who usually mains with isida and mammoth in every battle. I personally think mammy and firebird is a lovely combo, if you use it correctly. look at the xp/bp community, some of those players are so used to using rail and hornet that its they're go to combo for every battle, now, is it statistically speaking a "good combination"? not really, but the player has gotten so used to using that combo, that they do better with it than with anything else.

I dont believe in "this turret goes best with this hull" I believe that any turret can be mounted on any hull and do extremely well as long as the player is skilled. Labeling turrets to ONLY do well on certain hulls is harmful to gameplay. I agree that dictator needs a buff, there is a reason why nobody uses dictator anymore and the developers need to act on that. However I dont think that shrinking the hull physically is such a good idea, maybe nerfing hunter and viking so players are more willing to use dictator. Or give dictator an armor buff, making it the missing link between medium and heavy hulls.

the problem isnt that light hulls are weak, but medium hulls, (particularly viking) are way to powerful and popular. light and heavy hulls are "specialist" hulls that often people only play with certain map conditions and situations. with the expansion of most maps, and MMS making it impossible to pick and choose which map to play, the safest route for players now is to just equip viking because it at least will be proficient in any map. in other words, it hardly requires any skill to use.

At your rank drugs are a larger issue than at ranks marshal and above. Most legends have already quite the stash of drugs they have accumulated, and can usually keep it balanced as long as they aren't playing a ridiculous amount of non pro battles. However, around the rank of captain, you probably do have to drug more to compete against kit buyers if you want to stand a chance against them, pro battles are not as common, especially non drug ones, and you don't have that "stash" you can always rely on since the lower ranks hardly give you any. So yes, drugs around your rank are an issue, but the mid ranks have always been tough. unfortunately the best strategy is to just power through until marshal or give in and buy a kit.

hornet can still be upgraded to surpass wasps hp. in the end at m4 they have the same hp, besides, this topic is about dictator, not about light hulls.

Hornet however does actually have a few advantages over wasp, higher turning speed, better weight and power. whereas wasp has better speed, around the same amount of hp, but is outdone by hornet in all other stats.

Dictator hitpoint buff Dictator is bragged about in its description how much "armor platings" it has to make up for its slower speed. But in reality, it has the same amount of hp as the rest of the medium hulls. If you take a good look at the hull, you'll notice it overall has more cons than pros. Larger hit-box than the rest of the medium hulls, slower top speed, and slower turning speed. Yes, its weight and power is higher than the rest, but they make a minor difference in actual gameplay. Of course, the one advantage everyone talks about is gold boxes. Yes, dictator is superior when it comes to collecting golds, whoever, just because you have dictator equipped does not mean you are guaranteed the gold. This is why I propose a hp buff to make it more of a "missing link" between medium and heavy hulls, making the hull vastly more interesting. M0: 1500 -> 1750 M1: 2029 -> 2205 M2: 2250 -> 2642 M3: 2647 -> 3088 M3+(M4) 3000 -> 3500 You might think that the hp boost would be enough to guarantee an extra shot needed from most turrets in order to take it down, making it basically a heavy hull but faster. This is not the case, if you take striker for example, which takes usually 4 shots to take down a medium hull, regardless of its damage roll per shot. even if an m4 striker does its lowest amount of damage possible (790) it would still do enough damage to take down a medium hull regardless. (790x4 = 3160) now if we look at strikers average damage (790+970/2 = 880) and multiply that by 4 (880x4=3520) it would do 3520 damage, 20 hp above the amount it would take to take down a dictator with my new hp buff proposal. but if you get unlucky roles, and do even just 20 hp below the average damage threshold, than you have to fire a whole extra shot, giving the dictator those precious seconds to either take you down or hide (or use repair if drugs are enabled). Now I am not going to do the math with every single turret, but i'm sure the situation would be similar with most turrets.

as a big isida player this is definitely something that needs to get implemented. I understand that the score received might not be that much, but it adds up through out the battle, and can make a huge crystal reward difference at the end of the battle. Also, this almost requires isida's to play badly if they want to get that score, releasing space bar and letting your teammate die so you can selfishly take the score.

I definitely think shaft needs a trade-in for the laser which did take away the huge advantage shaft had (but then again, people might confuse you for a striker, which nobody is afraid of..?) something that actually makes sense with the weapon though, like splash damage or the pierce thing it used to do.

although matchmaking resolves several issues it takes away more player control, which is unappealing to many people. Also, this doesn't help the medium hull take over crisis. since battle map is unpredictable, players will play it safe, and just equip a medium hull right away, since they're pretty much good on any map.

this update was awhile ago but like why do they keep expanding all the maps??? This literally only gave an advantage to already popular turrets and hulls... unique players who used heavy hulls with short range turrets have pretty much all disappeared, or have submitted to the over used and boring medium hulls which are now used by basically every player. This change killed any diversity found in regular battles. its also funny how tanki keeps buffing all the hulls that nobody uses anymore, most recent being wasp, hunter, titan, and mammoth (notice how two of those are heavy hulls). like players didn't stop using them because of that, its mostly because the new game modes and map updates have made using those hulls impossible.

uhhh getting a kit with equipment thats only available at ranks 3 above yours is not cosmetic... buying can give you an advantage in battle thats not cosmetic. yes, technically, you dont ever have to buy and still be proficient at your rank, but you'll never be ahead of everyone else.

Hulls with new control updates are going to be: Mammoth, Titan, Hunter, and Wasp 3 of those hulls are the only ones I have m3, please tanki don't screw me over again

I have it on an alt, although i dont have viking i do have hunter with it, which is pretty similar. your mostly going to be relying on your hull turning speed, but because the alt decreases cone radius, you can land better shots at long range, allowing you to stand at a safe distance where the turret rotation isnt that important. Damage is much more consistent, and usually higher since you can land all your shots, but again, you're gonna want to stay at a longer range from your targets.

when your using isida and your teammate has low health so instead of them just letting you heal them they waste a repair kit...

also going off of TakeAShower post, here are some changes that need to be made Striker - literally one of any of its parameters needs just a slight buff - faster lock-on time would be most ideal though, as it doesn't include the amount of time it takes for the rockets to reach the target - higher damage would be cool tho too since mediums hulls can even survive a salvo mode from a striker if they can time a repair kit correctly Vulcan - damage need to stay consistent or barely decreases over range - however, similar to hammer, the bullets would be more dispersed the farther the range Freeze - freeze slow-down effect needs to be more potent the higher the modification - both the alterations are basically useless, increase corrosive mix damage increase to at least 15% - in reality tho, should that alteration do like, the opposite? it should increase the potency of the freeze effect, in exchange for the damage, since that is whats so unique about freeze

AMENNN say it louder for the developers to hear!!! although thunder actually having alts that are effective is kinda a scary thought, as thunder is already op to begin with..

sorry, yes i did mean dictator honestly viking got what was inevitable, it was just plain out too OP. nobody bothered with dictator or hunter since viking was perfect. thats what happens when a hull is over used and viking players should have been prepared..

...and? i think thats more than enough time to collect any data needed to make effective alterations. I know I could certainly think of plenty right now... its not like the other turrets hold "seniority" over those two specific turrets just because they have been in the game longer, they are both turrets that have begun to play important roles in battles making them worthy at least of one alteration each.
