I got a star with 125 score yesterday.

Yea, I got 75 score in one battle (active participation + a lot of self-destructs) and i haven't got a star too. [GG i join the no=star club] I am going to try with 100 score.

I've got no idea about that. As far I've checked, I have got stars for every battle that I play in an active manner.

One possibility is that they might have not bought the Distributor paint. Therefore, they are considered as non-participants of war. Hence, no stars. Irrespective of whether the above person participates in war or not, you will get stars according to your place in battle (If you were active in battle throughout).
