Twins is a good choice but I highly suggest you to save your crystals. After getting Simoom, play a lot until Captain or Major. You would've saved a good amount of crystals then. This leads to various options like Micro-upgrading your current equipment, saving further for M3 kits or getting Minotaur. For now, Thunder M2 from Simoom will last for a long time (even longer if you use supplies).

As a Dictator/Thunder user, I can quite easily say that this combo is not bad at all, you can definitely go for it.But, keep in mind that you will need an alternative to this combo. So, get Simoom and start saving for a medium-ranged turret, probably Smoky.
