On the profile pages, the counter for some drones does not count any more. From my own experience, Driver is counting, Saboteur and Booster are not, just stay put while the respective drone is used. And this is not a "wait ten minutes for the page to refresh" issue, numbers stay put for weeks.

Well, there are several "no-supply + no-OD" Serpuhov CTF battles at any given time, most of the time at least Silence CTF, Noise CTF and Rio CTF are also on offer. And "no-supply + no-OD" Polygon CP is always there, too. I know all this for sure, because when I play PRO battles, I usually want them without overdrive. However, I often wonder why there is so much express demand for "no-supply + no-OD" battles in this forum, it is the same thing in the German language forum, but the number of people actually playing them on the server is limited. I wish that people would complain less and simply do it, it would be more fun (and more battles).

The stupidity of players in the "Christmas War" makes me doubt the future of humanity
von_Cronberg replied to von_Cronberg in The stupidity of players in the "Christmas War" makes me doubt the future of humanity Archive
Homo sapiens has colonized the entire planet from Africa and created a global civilization that gives him opportunities which would previously have been ascribed only to gods. But when I see, on the Tanki map for the "Christmas War", that empty and uncontested regions are sometimes attacked with more stars than regions where large battles are taking place, then I get serious concerns. The obvious stupidity a large number of players reveals in the "Christmas War" makes me doubt the future of humanity. I admit that the unfortunate graphic design of the map with this senseless blue coloring of attackable regions, which at first glance hides who the region actually belongs to, can create a certain degree of confusion. But I still think that a randomly selected horde of primates from any zoo would think more intelligently about targets than obviously a lot of Tanki players do. -
Until recently and for many years, the single best fun on Tanki probably was to snipe Wasps with a Shaft. But reading forum threads that hate on Gauss and then playing some rounds with it, that really challenges the fun factor of the former.

The main problem is not how the paints look on the Viking prime hull, but the aesthetic crime when combining both resolutions in one tank. As I like the upgraded Viking prime hull very much, and combine it with any turret, I have become a unicolour player now. Black and white.

What you describe for the HTML5 version is a bug that I sometimes experience. What you see seems to be a close up from one position on the Serpuchov map. Actually my impression is that often when I join a Serpuchov battle, this close up appears for a fraction of a second before I spawn, and sometimes this close up stays and I do not spawn. In my impression, this "close up freeze bug" appears related to another one, the "frozen battle bug", that when a battle is over, it does not start again. So when I see a frozen battle in the battle list, I know that when joining it I will experience the "close up freeze bug".

Today I actually got a Juggernaut mission for the first time ever. Of course I immediately clicked it away. Now I really wonder if Tanki will actually estrange its paying customers by harassing them with a game mode which perverts the game and which pretty much none of them enjoys.
-
I have never seen a Juggernaut mission, regular or team, and I certainly would not play it. I do despise that mode, just as every other player I know (which all happen to be adults who contribute to Tanki earnings) despises that mode. It is hard for me to imagine that Tanki would make the mistake of trying to force their customers to play a mode they do not enjoy and do not want to play. If I would have to pay just to avoid Juggernaut missions, this might spell the end for this game in my life. But again, I do not think Tanki would make such an abhorrent business mistake.

The description of the Mortar Alteration for Magnum both ingame and in the Wiki, as well as the impression of many players, says that with a hit it deals Mine damage, not Magnum damage (which is relevant for protection). Other arguments, and apparently the majority in this forum before the discussion in "Bugs and Glitches" was removed, speak for Magnum damage. If the latter is true, then a correction/clarification of the descriptions of the alteration, ingame and in the Wiki, would be a helpful thing for many to enlighten their knowledge or remove their scepticism.
-
On the "profile" page, I would find it helpful to see an image of the most used gear alongside an image of the gear which the player happens to have up at the moment. And I say image, I mean image, not Java fancy. On the "successes" page, hulls should be added alongside turrets. Since invention of the overdrives, they are arguably no less important for gameplay. And the position of Gauss in the list should be corrected. ^^
-
If this is true, which I am still a bit sceptical about, they should correct/clarify the Wiki entry: Source: https://en.tankiwiki.com/Alterations#Alterations_for_Magnum
-
If a player uses Magnum with Mortar alteration, the enemy player protections are shown as Magnum protection. However, according to the Wiki and in my experience, the damage from a direct hit with such a weapon rather is mine damage, not Magnum damage. Ca someone confirm or deny that the ingame display is incorrect here?

I just got kicked out without warning from a PRO battle, a hard fought game which I had played for more than an hour, with much emotional investment and a huge battle fund, for alleged "inactivity" because apparently at one point I was in Shaft sniper mode for two minutes (or probably rather immediately went back into sniper mode after shooting, without moving the hull for two minutes). The removal of this Shaft sniper mode exception from the "inactivity" rule for not moving a hull three days ago was ridiculous, and if the exception is not reinstated, I might well be done with Tanki (after having much fun and spending more than a thousand Euros over several years). Please communicate the issue to the developers, if you have not done this yet.
-
In long PRO battles, it happens. And obviously not only to me, as there used to be an exception for exactly this case for all the years. Problem is that now you suddenly and without warning get kicked from long battles with huge battle funds (and the emotional investment that comes with long battles).
-
Another player said it is two minutes without moving the tank. It has always been these two minutes with other weapons after not moving the tank, which is fine with other weapons, but there used to be a well reasoned exception for Shaft in sniper mode, which appears gone since last night.
-
Since last night, Shaft players get removed from battle "for inactivity" while in sniper mode. This dysfunctional feature or bug must be undone as soon as possible. The weapon Shaft (by the way one of the favorites of your paying customers) becomes unusable that way.

I am with increasing desperation looking for an answer to an issue with Vulcan repair, which nobody seems to know. I do not even know if this is a bug or a feature. Maybe one expert, or moderator, here? This is the issue: When using a Vulcan deep into overheating, at some point one uses repair to avoid self-destruction. However, in about half of the cases, apparently by random, only instant repair works, but not complete repair. This appears independent of stopping or not stopping shooting during repair (and of course we are talking only about cases where there is no incoming enemy fire during repair, which would prevent complete repair). Can someone explain?

The issue of frequent horribly high ping numbers is up again in force. And this is not or not only caused by the customers' side, as many players have much better ping numbers in any other application. Please solve the issue of your servers' insufficient internet connection. A smooth gameplay is the most important thing for your paying customers, it is much more important for you than those aesthetic cruelties you love to introduce to please cannon fodder kiddies.
