As far as paints go, I vote for dirty being the overall best for the money. It work aginst rails 8+% and shafts 26+%- paarticular shafts. For the price $17.5K , there is no equal or better long range paint till Sandstone (82K) or Blacksmith(90k) . SInce rails and shafts do the most damge per shot, Dirty by default rduces actual damage more than any other paint on the average. One paint that does come close is Corrosion, but it costs twice as much, and adds thunder defence -which are rarely seen IMO. And its shaft def is not as good. Dirtty can work for you, all the way to Captain rank or better. Worth the money, especially at a discount. With MU's its shaft defense can get very good, +39% , that is hard to beat especially for 57K total, (17K+40Kmu) , The first two MU's alone get it +30%

I have suggested this in the Wiki but not here. A supply named "Tank Trap" . Item would be very similar to a mine but instead of blowing up , it immobilizes the enemy tank so it stays stuck there. Perhaps allow a friendly tank( with alot of power) to push the tank off one, or make them permenantly stuck for that one tank life. Turret can still traverse of course. After a stuck tank dies or the tank is "freed" , the trap dissappears. I.E.- a one use item like the rest of supplies and mines. Item could be , 25 -50 crystals, as it does no damage, and is more visible than a mine. Suggest a Czech Hedge-Hog as a graphic. People can decide if they want to crash into one or not. Perhaps have the trap work at a % chance less than 100. 75%-80% or 50%, or what have you. Would be an excellent item for channeling enemies, or pluggin up a route, or defending a CP or Flag or stopping a following tank without killing them like a mine. There are only mines right now as tactical defensive side items. Tank Trap would add another dimension to setting up and playing defense. It would also allow offense to have more options, as a side could set up traps and mines in lanes of advance or a flank, and attack through others with more forces. An item like this would promote more 'tactical thinking" in the game, in synthesis with the primary "first person shooter" aspect.- 2,754 replies

Sorta ditto. You can't let firebird or freeze get close to you. And certainly don't let them get behind you, unless you know you have teammates who will take them out. Freeze and Isida aren't too bad as long as they are in front of you, firebird is bad because because it adds heat along with the delay in your time to open up. What really helps in close-in fighting with a Vulcan is having a friendly freeze or Isida following and supporting you. They can keep you cool and prevent damage along with jumping up and taking out close-in threats when they attack. You won't see what a Vulcan can really do until you get M1. The Vulcan is a long range gun. It does 50% more damage at M1.And it's full damage range becomes better than everything except shaft and rail. What Vulcan really is, is a shaft shredder and also shreds long range rails dumb enough to stick their noses out. Y0u can get the entire long range enemy side hiding with an M1 Vulcan. Try it in Stadium or Monte carlo. On these same notes, a Vulcan needs a heavy gun platform, put the thing on something that can take damage. I recommend Titan but Mammoth I suppose can work. Perhap Viking since it is so stable and fairly tough but at M1 , Hunter is better. You need a hull that can take damage because the gun heats up causing damage and you take damage from multiple shafts and rails while shredding them one at a time. Dictator , I have no experience with, but it might work well too. I think that would be the tallest combe in the game. All I can say is use a Vulcan at range, and if need be, at close in, it does kill rather well too, But try to fight at range and keep enemy in front of you. The Vulcan has replaced Rico as my weapon of choice. I run both on M1 Titan although I tempted to try M1 Hunter which just sits in the shop. I got tired of not being able to reach out and touch long range shafts and rails, and thunders now I just feel sorry for. Always had to close a good bit to Rico them to death. Rico still rocks on short range maps, particularly those with flat stuff you can rico with.

I am going to be totally low-rank noob with this question . I only see M0-M3 options to buy anything. Does this M4 stuff/option and their parameters show up at a certain rank to buy or something?

This is a game program error. Vulcan cannot damage Hammer turrets. There are multiple complaints in multiple topics on this. Have not seen any comments as to when a fix will be done, or if they care about it yet.

Yea , friendly freezes cool a Vulcan. I am wondering if enemy freezes do the same thing , but they still freeze your tank. It is no glitch. Also now that you bring it up, you wearing a freeze paint , might be negatively affecting how much a friendly freeze cools you off. Also now additionally; Does using Isida paint affect friendly Isida? IDK Beside having a freeze tank with your Vulcan tank, you can also use an Isida and do the same thing, the Isida will heal cooling damage. Optimally would be a heavy Tank w/Vulcan and support by an Isida and a freeze. That "Tri-Combo" might well allow a Vulcan to fire continuously for a very long time. i.e. long enough to kill any and all visible enemy tanks plus any that show or pop-up. This also allow your friendly freeze to wander off and kill enemy, as they aren't getting XP for keeping you cool other than 1xp per dead enemy tank. Isida could the the same thing. Maybe 2 Vulcans and 1 freeze and 1 Isida might be a real power 'Quad" combo. Something to try if I ever go Clan. I've been trying to find such "trifectas" in team matches , but the best I have done so far, is to have one or the other tag along. Which does wickedly as long as it lasts. Guess I need to find some willing players in chat. But it looks hard to find "GOOD" team matches were 2 or 3 slots are open for the same side.

:lol: :rolleyes: Do the normal stuff to reduce lag. Also try firefox, if using chrome/safari, only one page open Use cmd - , to reduce screen size from fullscreen/presentation mode. Have no programs running but finder, trash and firefox(1page) Force quit everything else (MacAir).

If you buy crystals and happen to get a x2 cryst card today, I would buy them on the 14th, as that means 3 or 4x crystals. Save these for the 23rd. As to turrets, yea M1 rail would be okay at 25% off on the 23. Maybe by a Hornet m1 too. M1 Hunter is the best "light" hull, but you can't jump with it. However you about about to hit wo-5 , I'd work toward getting wo5 by feb 23 and buy M2 Freeze. M2 Freeze is prolly closest to your game style now with M1 Firebird. Rail would be a whole new world to you and use. I can't say much else , I primarily use heavy hull M1's , Hunter and Titan, and M1 Rico and Vulcan. I fiddle with other hulls and turrets , but there are not as much fun to me.

Is Vulcan ever going to get any "kickback"???? It is crap on the battlefield, compared to Rico which has much lower numbers at M1. Either fix Vulcan, or fix the charts, because something is wrong. Oh yea, Hammer turrets, are still invulnerable to Vulcan.

I prefer the range of the Vulcan. I guess on short range maps , Twins still is useful.

I have only got M0 so far. I think it and the M1 version is best on the Hunter M1 hull, or the Titan M1. On a Viking it is lower than any other hull, but you get more damage resistance with a titan ot hunter. This is important because of the over -heating issure. You can sit and blast away at multiple targets at medium to long range. If one target hides just start blasting another. Titan M1 can absorb alot of heat damage. On a light hull -Wasp or Hornet , over-heating damage can kill you fast.

Vulcan has way too much range, and also elevation/depression limits. It is OP in these respects. I expect it to be nerfed after a bunch of people buy the thing.

Perhaps it is my rank , but I can't see Wasp as a useful hull. Hornet can make jumps. And if you don't jump then, go Hunter if you just want/need speed. Both Wasp and hornet seem super vulnerable to "one-shots". There seems to be no heavy tank advocates running around in this forum. "Viking" seems to be the heaviest hull advocated, no matter the rank or M level. I wonder.

I believe you are correct to an extent. In TDM, when a tank is hit by multiple players, the xp is split up, to all. 15 xp as the rules say. In (all/some/?) of these cases a kill is not credited to anyone including whoever fired last and actually blew the tank up. It does show up in the team side totals though. This no credit kill effect gets even worse in team games, when there are more heavier hulls involved , as those can get hit multiple times by multiple players. Plus there are the issues of x2 armor and repair boxes. Must be an "interesting" XP/kill equation running in this game :). Have to look at CP and CTF better to see how kill credit totals work in them. So basically, what I am saying is my earlier comment about this "glitch" was wrong. The "totals" match as they should , other kill discrepancies are prolly just lag issues from this being an MMO.

New bug- Currently many of the en servers will not load completely (no top bar and still with the loading "bar?" - 4,5,1,10, 13 , at least. There are many players complaining in every chat.

That is when you know you have bad lag. Refer to the fixes and troubleshooting guides.

I can't see trying to fight battles with anyone of higher rank. I am W/0 4 , and I am wary about even W/O 5 rank battles. If I see diamonds I definitely don't/won't go. At my "meager" rank I feel sorry for anyone lower than about W/O 2 , before I blast them off map :lol: and I don't join sides with a preponderance of lower rankers either. On a side note , it looks like a long slog to ranks for M2 equipment from M1 , so I can see higher rank Lieutenants getting bored with M1 rank battles and wanting to fight at higher levels, than they actually are.

Yes, I am looking forward to doing some "Parkour" :). Right now at my rank things are pretty "ground bound", plus I usually use a Titan, which doesn't "fly". I just hope the "rules" don't get so restrictive about parkour before I get a chance to be involved.
