If your data structures are simple then definitely go with sockets and arrays , going with classes will almost be useless since you will have to serialize every object and then transfer those objects across the network. If your data structures are a little bit complex then use a database client and save yourself the hassle it will do all the network related work for you. Anyway back to topic , flash standalone would be the best way to record vids for tanki , since you Will be running only flash process + ur recording software process where if you use a browser You will be running the aforementioned processes + the browser process hence unnecessary Consumed Computational cycles.
