I know... :P :D Well... try to be in a hurry to hit the guy with the flag, and 1 sec will feel like forever. It was in fact 2.46 sec. I've lowered down the time by 0.02 using only 1 of 4, micro updates to decrease reload time. It seems idiotic to invest in 3 more micro upgrades that basically change nothing. -

Its time to face it. The hulls and turrets of this game cannot be, never ever... be balanced. To be balanced, a confrontation 1 to 1 must produce the same probability of success killing, unless for more experienced player or for the one lucky enough to fire first. So people play with what feel more comfortable and develop the necessary skills to endure in face of the adversaries. After getting the skill, a change in the HP will not produce more skilled players, but will produce a lot of new campers. Its not enough the big amount of camping shafts, annoying the adversaries but incapable to detect a single flag steal... -

Spurger genak138 Papaya14 It is now clear to me that you didn't read the description of my experience in a game I've played, just a day before the introduction of this HP increase in medium and heavy hulls. Or if you read it you didn't believed in me. I'm ranking Colonel now, so... What kind of "more experience" do I need, to stop a VIKING + Freeze + DA, that arrive steals our flag, and somewhere in the middle also activate the Repair Kit and get away, WHEN all my team is firing upon him (some with DD) since before his arrival to our field, during his way to our flag, during his escape, until he is already far away (I know I was killed by him and after reborn, I was one of the last one of my team firing at him with DD). What I'm reading here um rubbish and nonsense. We, wasp and Hornet users are complaining... of course we are! So what? Don't you (medium and heavy hull users) have enough armor to arrive, still the flag and get away? My Thunder needs almost 3 seconds (2.44 sec) to reload. Time enough to be killed, most of the time by a SINGLE Railgun shot, or by a SINGLE Shaft shot, or by a Ricochet crossing in my way. So needing another shot in the 6 that I already need, to kill some medium tanks its not a big deal, instead of 15 seconds, all we need now is 18 seconds... Time that certainly you and your team mates will give me to allow to shot down your, well armored tank, team mate. Sorry my English, it is not my native language. -

Maybe you guess right! As I said, most of the time is hard to kill medium hulls, and with this boost in armor, that will be almost impossible. Let's see, how much time players take to start all playing with medium and heavy hulls, and how much time after, TO team comes saying "we notest that medium and heavy armor are being used more times than light armor. That is not the intended for the game so we are now balancing the..... whatever...". The point is, this game is impossible to balance unless all players with any combination of hull and Turret get a 1 to 1 chance of fight, being the difference only the player skill, or the one who shoot first. -

This is my experience yesterday (before this change in hulls) playing in highland map. I've entered in the middle of the game, into the red team that were already loosing. Two shafts hitting at the same time any of the red team who dares to go into open field towards the narrow straight road to the blue flag. A clear demonstration of dynamic camping.... (we camp here, camp there, camp...) The two shafts were located near the entry, cant remember exactly what hull are they using, but it seems one of it was a viking. Anyway, we manage to destroy them, so new strategy! One of the Shafts (Viking) positioned himself at the end of the road behind the flag using a building to shield himself, so he comes out shot and destroy, then hide again and so on, like a railgun! I manage to destroy him from far, with my thunder. Enough to boost a little my team's moral so we manage to hit them hard never letting them to organize. We level up the score and surpass them in number of flags taken. New strategy of blue team. A Viking with freeze. This new one always... I MEAN ALWAYS arrive to our side, with active DA (sometimes also with Speed Boost). We at the red team, all of us shooting at him. We went all freezed, yet we continue shoot him, some of us with DD activated. Yet, he catch our flag then start to go back, pushing against all of us that block his way, destroying us all the way, still we all shot him! The Viking activates Repair Kit, and with the support of their team... We went all destroyed and the Viking get away. And even with me firing uppon with DD at distance he get away. He does this every time till the end of the game. Blue team won, of course. And my Hornet is na m2 with 20/25 armor micro update. My Thunder is also an m2 with 12/19 increase damage, plus 3/12 Impact Force. Now they increase the hull armor for medium and heavy hulls... NOW someone tell me What is the point to increase armor of medium and heavy hulls? So now we all move to Vikings and then what, the TO team comes saying again, we notice that medium and heavy hulls are being used more times them light hulls that was not intended for the game so we are going to rebalancing the light hulls to do..... whatever... GET REAL. This game could never be balancing. Every time you move the specs of turret and hulls you leave the game more ****ty. This game will only be balanced when and turrets and all hulls have a 1 to 1 chance against each other. Being the one with better skills the winner. What kind of hipotesys do I have in a hornet / Thunder if (in most cases) 6 shoots is not enough to destroy any one (with Hunter upwards) , and most of the time they need only 2 (1 rail + 1 smoky) to destroy me? (Even so most of the time its enough 1 rail or 1 shaft to destroy my tank)? TO owns the game and can do whatever they want. While us players don't leave this game once for all, they will never take time to listen us or to get real. -
Thunder has become basically completely useless. Sometimes even with another Thunder partner helping you... I mean, 2 thunders... and you can't manage to destroy most of the hulls, before one or both of you be destroyed. I have the rank of Colonel now, and I have m2 Thunder and m2 Hornet, both with some micro upgrades; The m2 Hornet with 20/25 protection, 3/25 weight, 5/25 Power. Still... if you increase weight, the tank becomes slugiest, you must increase power 2 times for each increase in weight. Yet, the tank flip like a bailerina when hit by railgun or raise its front completely, loosing aim most of the time. If you are maneuvering to avoid being hit, or are maneuvering in Close Quarters Combat, the persistent up/down of the hull makes you lose aim to the point you doubt that the automatic vertical aim is really working as expected! The m2 Thunder with 12/19 damage, 3/12 Impact Force, 1/ Reaload time, always loose to much all other turrets. The time a Thunder takes between two shoots, a Ricochet can shoot 4 to 5 times, always destroying you even before the second Thunder's shot (suposing both equiped with Hornet), a Thunder need 3 shots to kill a Hornet, the Ricochet needs also about 3, but by the time Thunder is ready to fire the second time, Ricochet destroyed you. Worst... you always... ALWAYS lose aim against ricochet so, even if you manage to hit 2 times a Hornet/Ricochet, you will almost certainly lose aim for the third shot and be destroyed by Ricochet. With a lesser Railgun you lose 80% to 90% health. But usualy it only takes a shoot to kill a Hornet with Railgun even with a railgun protection paint like me. With the Shaft the same thing! The worst yet is that with a Thunder you heavily damage yourself if you fire Thunder against a close enough target, to the point the adversaries mainly Raingun, Richochet, Smoky, push you against the wall preventing you from open fire while they finished their jobs, a stupid Thunder's feature that does not happen to any other turret. Against the new Vulcan, I just have the worst experience ever agains m2 Vulcan / Hunter. So if you are sensing that your Thunder is doing explendid, don't believe, that is because your team partners already done most of the job, and your Thunder is picking the crumbs. If you go in a Deathmatch with a Thunder you can see the amazing difference between the number of times you being destroyed and the number of kills. I'm quite active looking for the flag, but ending up a game with 4 kills against 30 destructions it's not exactly a proud moment... And I really try hard to be smart and manouvering in a intelligent way.

Hornet more stable! Last night, serpuhov map, driving like a mad man into the battle and into the flag, after catching a "speed up", going into the ramp, and BAMMMMM!!!!! My Hornet, suddenly being driven by the HAND OF GOD into the trench. Ohhh wait.. It was not the HAND OF GOD! It was my "Shaft" team mate with his shot being intercepted by me! Next run... Again like a mad man, I reach the ramp, and BAMMMM, hited by adversary railgun, a magnificent "plié" followed by an even more spectacular "grand jeté" with the innovation of including several enchanted "flips" on the air, finally landing with the turret down, like a plane that forgot his engines at home. All that just to please my team mate, right behind me, that got blocked by my flipped tank. You know this is a skill game (so they say, but don't believe it), and certainly my team mate showed his skills in battle... I mean... his skills being "trapped", behind me, just to be killed seconds after.

NOOO! No No No... I completely give up! No, I'm not a noob. I've tried to help my team mate trapped in a small corridor serpuhov. I'm behind him at some distance away, the only thing I manage was to shoot my partner that died by isida. As for the Isida not even a pinch. It's completely out of proportion!... This is doing more damage than helping the team, in fact no one help anyone. It seems a death match where everyone in the team are fighting against 2 different teams, fight against the adversary team, and fight his own team. This is totally friendly fire, without the damage and / but with aiming disturbance. There is no pleasure to play this game this way anymore. If it is to end any battle extremely nervous with the extremely odd and/or even unfairness situations, I must quit. edit: I mean, really quit.. Sure there is something else, maybe unreal tournament or war rock.

A few moments ago I logged in and I got another one of your many and unreal magnificent surprises! Because they are not used, the battles of 5, 10 and 20, 45 minutes were removed from the options. I am speechless!!! ... I mean ... I .. I ....... I do not even know what else to say, so petrified I am... I can't even start to reasoning about what to think about you. Someone or some of you may be injecting hard drugs, flying high ... surfing in some other universe, and the results are, major disturbances here. What bug bit you? LET ME TELL YOU... No one on this planet, Solar system, Galaxy.. no one in this entire universe UNDERSTANDS your urge and necessity to remove options from the game even more those 4 numbers... Understood .. the rest is business, but battle times, 5, 10, 20, 45 min? Please.. please, please, someone of you explain the rational behind that decision. - Don't tell me it was feedback from the community, let's keep it civilized, so do not insult us or our intelligence. - Don't tell me that 5, 10, 20, 45 is causing major confusion to the players. - Don't tell us they are slowing the interface. Just give us a nice rational justification for that. Just tell us, what evil thing was those 4 numbers doing there, that urge you to remove them? PLEASE! Thanks edit: On the other hand, I've watched the V-LOG 27 and I understand the options you've made with the turrets / weapons, however now, pursuing the adversary carrying the flag is useless! If I pursue in a row behind my team mates, the adversary with the flag, and I shot at him, the only thing I accomplish is hitting my team mate in front of me, completely destroying his aiming, allowing the adversary to run away with the biggest smile in his face. So now the chances of escape with the flag in some maps, and in certain sides Blue or Red are now almost 100%, since just one pursuing is usually not enough to stop the adversary. Any maneuvering to stay out of the line with my team mate, is usually loosing time to fire. This happen with Thunder, I strongly believe it happens with shaft, Ricochet and smoky as well. But maybe some more training allow to compensate only if the hit zone of my partner is well "programmed" and balanced, so it does not obscure the hit zone of the adversary in situations when I fire in angle with my team mate (but I doubt that it is the case).

A question... How did they change the way weapons work? Let me explain.... Does they changed the way weapons hit target, more exactly the THUNDER? I do not remember of a Thunder hit team partners even when they are in front of my target. Before, I think it always hit the adversary regardless what's in front of me, as long as the feature "Friend Fire" is deactivated. I think id does not damage team partners but now, if they are in the way, they are hit first... cheers

... Thunder wasn't enough?????? Thunder m1 + Hornet m2 always loose in CQB against Ricochet m2.. even against Ricochet m1 + Hornet m2... And Ricochet is even effective a middle range as well in narrow places because of of it's shell bouncing effect. It's not enough Ricochet fire about 4 to 5 shots (max 4 Rico m2 is enough to kill your Hornet m2) before you can fire Thunder again, but the punch effect, completely destroy your aiming with thunder, which render's it almost useless against Ricochet, even when, knowing that your aim is going to hell, you compensate Thunder in opposite direction. Thunder is however quite effective blowing up your own tank in CQB.

Thanks! I know about the backspace.. worst is, when some key sequence make the all content vanish... Because of that I usually wrote in notepad. :-D ------------------ I'm not particularly impressed with the way this game is being played lately... Not only is becoming hard to accomplish something... Other players are becoming increasingly unfair. But I do not want to talk about this in this thread. When I has patience maybe I open a thread to express my experience and point of view... I do have some good ideas, at least I think they are good ideas, that come to me after three particularly not enjoyable games in a row... but I do not know if I should express them... oooh hell. I do not feel like I'm going with TO as much as I could or like it to. So I guess I'll stay in the game just for a run once in a while. :-D That way I can watch the game evolution, if there is any to be watched, for free players. :-D

Hello lewis 545. Maybe you can enlighten us about what means to you "Private Battle"? If I create a private battle, with battle name... let's say... "Railgunstock... [ XP ] CTF". And then invite some fellows, but before game start I tell them the equipment rules... indeed we have a free XP game! Being the difference that we cannot deactivate micro-updates, nor removing the use of power-ups. But I guess there were players with accounts just for that kind of games, without micro-updates, and playing fair by not using power-ups, even avoiding the ones that fall from sky. YES I know you will use this argument to say, "XP was never free"... however it's the closest thing that regular players, who cannot pay, have of XP battles! Eliminate any possibility for playing free XP / BR (and so on) was the reason they removed both; battle names (arguing that our feedback was taken into consideration and there was to many offending names...) and removed "private battles" from regular users, saying "... we left the arcade feeling for players just wanting to have fun..."! Of course the other payer-players don't want to have fun... Semyon Kirov, at least admit this too us, it's not shameful, it's part of the business right? We should have it understood and stop complaining, and so they would not have to say .... wait .. they do not have to say it ! ------------------------------ And finally, I really don't know Why am I bothering coming here to the forum... I've read all, from: "The worst update EVER" when they took, basically everything from us, and left a new, marginally good, "look" on the games, puting icons instead of [CTF, CP, TDM, DM] (actually good) but removing filters (actually bad). to: "Best update EVER" when they just throw away a small bone for furious people chew and shut up, re-enabling filters but actually removing again the more visually appealing icons for the games type, and still, all the remaining features remain stripped to regular players. I can only conclude those guys don't know of what in the hell, are they talking about nor they know what they want after all!... yet, they are part of the community for which their feedback is taken in consideration, which means.. we are all into the same bag... no wonder that people feel that we are not being listen.. it's all noise... And even if we are listen... what weight this have for tankionline team?

Man.. You are a PRO designer! You forget "Winter Night". There should be winter night maps too! By the way, will the "christmas" map (or whatever is called), be available this year? Last year, I have the most fun ever in that map. However, the ranks that you show in your image are correct! I mean, today soon after the server come up from it's daily shutdown, at least 3 games were open and at least one with all the ranks you showed in the picture. Then, I tried myself to create a game with all those ranks, I was unable to do it, because they narrow the rank bar. So, I don't know if those games are automatically opened after every server shutdown. But seems to be the only way to play with/against players with a large spectrum of ranks. cheers.

Well. I've being playing for a little longer. Two years.. in fact... almost 3 years, with big interregnum in the middle. I know that because I usually play in my mother's notebook when she is here on vacations. I know it's lame, but it's a kind of a choice because, of all computers available, it is me, an IT engineering, that use the crappy, old dinosaurs, leaving my mother and sister with the more capable ones. It breaks my heart to throw them into the garbage, when they has been used to little more than internet navigation and chat... So I put them in their final stress use and even so they refuse to die. Anyway... It is my understanding that regular players usually could create "Private battles" to play with and/or against trusty players. They set the battle parameters among them all and, in that way it virtually becomes a XP / BP battle as long as all players stick to the rules. Now they took out the option for "private battle" and put it in PRO battles. It doesn't matter if they say "we put the private in the PRO" or if they say "We are going to create a separate server for formatted battles", if that option is out of the interface for regular users then it became one more loss of functionality for regular players. And if that come to happen, a server for formatted battles, who can access them: - Players with PRO passes? - Players with a credit card? - Will it require a new registration and a new start? Now, to play XP / BP, private battles, we need either: 1) Pay to buy Crystal for a month PRO pass card (and I cannot really blame tanki team for this) and I can Imagine many people doing it. 2) Play a lot of normal battles, to get the 5000 crystals for a PRO pass card. It does not seem too difficult for some players without life of their own. This way the only thing wasted is time... lots and lots of time. 3) Wait for the weekend and have the luck to win a PRO pass for one day, forget there is life outside the game and play all day to get the most of the PRO pass. Finally narrowing even further the bar for the allowed ranks in the battle, is a kind of imposition. Certainly many players do prefer playing against other players with similar ranks because that give them about the same kind of fire power. However the choice of ranks allowed in the game should be left to the players that create the game. What should have been improved was the search for games. And I've already leave an idea for this in post 414 (if not mistaken). Many players added friends with higher ranks when all can play together and now they can't play together... Removing the not allowed ranks (the grayed battles) also removed the possibility to check friends playing on those games, (I think), although I can understand the situation since it does not provide any use to players, other than to check for friends there and increase the willing and stamina to rush into those ranks. And removing the game name, is certainly a negative point. As I said before, preventing the creation of games with offensive words is a matter of programming. Game names often were the only way to recognize some specific game, in the case we want to return to it. Now, for me, they are all equals.

You completely miss my point! 1) I'm not blaming developers. Where did you read the word "Developer(s)" in my post? I'm a developer (IT engineering) myself. Developers do whatever managers say them to do. Sometimes even jump from a bridge. :-D 2) I'm not giving nice ideas, but rather being a little sarcastic.... Which by the way, may very well be a reality sooner than later. Believe me they can be much more creative than me in this point... 3) When did you start to play this game? That information should provide me a frame where I can consider how much attached you've become to this game in order to understand if your opinion worth anything, or if is just the opinion of someone who start playing last month. Because, if that is the case, you don't know anything of what this game was in the past, say... one year ago, before so many "strange" changes were introduced, most of them are, take out from you, what you had before. 4) This is a popular game. Servers cost money. Management team, development team, design team, creatives, must be paid. Of course they will monetize. BUT... how much more money they need now (that much things go to PRO), than in the last year where any player had a lot more of options for their games? 5) Until a few hours ago, I didn't know what were XP battles. Thanks that player "beaku", told me that. So I'm not put my opinion here because of the XP battles. However, it is now my understanding that at least one necessary feature for this type of games were taken away from normal users, and of course I'm against it. 6) Of course developers think about us having fun. My point stands, they must be paid. However the decisions to implement this updates, have costs to the vast majority of players in functionality they used to have, and now they don't. 7) My decision of leaving or not these game is not based in considerations about what developers think about us having or not having fun, but depends only with, how far way the character of this game (including it's user interface) is diverging from the game that I knew from the past to this day. Instead of developers I would use the term "tanki team", it is not only developers that call the shoots. Where did you read me saying, "... it sucks"? If you were read a few posts earlier, I provide a nice way to enhance the "search for games" feature, without shoving, what they thing it is right, into players ass. If "things" has been "right" since the beginning, it is not by stripping already proven functionality that now, "things" will be better than right. More than that, I usually provide reasons for what I say, and I never say "ahhaa mua mua haa haa it sucks!...".

Thank you very much indeed beaku. I wouldn't have guess it and I was really trying hard. I thought Xp is for "Experience Rising" or something... And I thought this is some kind of code that much of the tankers already knew and I was left outside because I cannot play regularly. And I guess I will not play anymore, I'm still considering if I keep the account. Thanks

About 2 years ago I've started playing this by... well... by accident, I'm looking into miniclip games. Saw this tank and say to myself... well lets see.... That was the tankionline I started play, that was the tankionline I used to love so much. New players that started yesterday, they do not have any opinion about what this game was, is or should be. I cannot play all the time, there were several months I couldn't play, because I do not have a PC with enough graphic capabilities. So I only play when I have a capable computer. So, from the first time I started playing to this day, many things were striped from all players, to the point the game is not exactly what I loved so much. I've returned in September, then about another month without playing, return and... no crystals, predictable drooping, and so on... some good some VERY bad. For the players that start yesterday, there is little left for them to be taken away. As it is today this is the game they will love, but who knows what will be taken out from them (and us btw) in the near future... but I can guess what will be the next steps... 1) Take out CTF 2) Take out TDM 3) Take out CP. 4) Take out WASP 5) Take out HORNET 6) Take out HUNTER 7) Take out Firebird 8) Take out Freeze 9) Take out Ricochet 10) Take out Railgun 11) Take out Twins 12) Take out Isida 13) New torrets / Guns just for the ones that present a Credit Card or can only be used when player has PRO pass. 14) Take out use of power-ups in No-PRO. 15) No cumulation of points during battles, and no rank rising at all except in PRO. 16) I'm sure they can be even more creative when it comes to the " take out" part.

I saw the announcement of the last update. -------------------------------- Sorted in a more logical way is a point for you! But what about the 4 selectors at the bottom (DM, TDM, CP, CTF)? It was a very fast way to just show the kind of battles player is interested on. Was the decision of drop it a result of our feedback? So now we are returning to times were we should keep our mouth shut. Not agreeing with anything and saying nothing, if we want to stay alive. And before I go, someone tell me what does this mean, XP, XP-K, XP-BP, BP? Finally, sorry everyone for my lousy English, it is not my native language. Bye Next time use the spoiler.

We and you, we should consider ourselves lucky to be able to play this game for free. The design team, the programming and development team, the management team ... so... are not they allowed to make money, to eat and to pay their bills? The money just comes to them through the sale of crystals to "hurry players" and professional players. And yet, much crystal they give for free and through the game while you're having fun playing it. Each time this game will have fewer options for players who do not pay anything, and more options for professional players. Maybe even go up the crystal quantities required for weapons upgrades and even to play pro battles. I've seen this happening in many other online games that had their peak fame, only to fall almost into oblivion. But who can blame them for making money? At the end, the survival of the this game will depend on how they balance the need to make money with features that are left free to the remaining players. It is my understanding that Test Servers are only for native russian speakers, for obvious reasons. The developers need to receive very accurate feedback, since they are all (or almost all) from Russian origin, it is easier for them to understand the technicality and the specifics of the "thing" in their own language. Also, I've read this in the forum many months ago. By the way, SlayDaBeast, (upper post #585), QUOTE: "As far as I am concerned these are desperate measures to EXTORT more real cash from players and are not launched with the aim of improving gameplay." It's a kind of a strong word, don't you think? What would you do if you have the same kind of business, develop games, programming and so on, and that is one or perhaps the only income you have?

How could possible be the crystal dropping be annoying? I never felt that even when I fight for a flag. Usually players catch the box in the way to capture the flag, and even if they way a little bit it never take to much time. Sometimes it is even funny to watch to opponents fight for it. No more kill still or wait for last kill shoot" I don't follow you on this... What do you mean? Does it mean that I wait for someone almost kill a tank, and then I finish the job and get the credit? If it is this, do you believe that any alternative is better? So... in a battle with so many players from both teams firing at each other, nobody gets the credit if it happens to be a last shot? If I shot a tank to help a partner do survive, or help him to keep moving, maybe with the flag, and happens that to be a last shot, is that me being an asshole and I should leave as it is, so no credit for me? Can you explain what are you saying? (Knowing that at some micro-level things are never fair). Because in real life wars, no soldier will discuss with another soldier for killing the enemy, saying, "you shouldn't fire on the mother fu... I did already have him in my sight..." even if the guy is about to be killed. More than that, was this stupidity implemented in the game? (sorry... never mind).
