    For all non-Russian speaker, the naming of maps in PRO-Battles is hell, over 90% of battles is unreadable for everyone else, having to click on every battle to know what is it is bad design, at least get the map's name inside brackets or something...

    Dude, I am a Shaft user, almost exclusively. I will camp or play agressively (mostly), depending of the map, objective and tactical situation. Knowing the limitations and advantage of the turret (any turrets, and the Hulls you/your opponents use) is the key to win at this game. Now, I face my fair share of Shaft user and I'm telling you that there are ways to deal with or avoid them ,as I have plenty of adversaries that deal with or avoid me. Key is practice and learn to deal with these situations. Now, Shaft can dominate on some long range maps, and are also very ineficient on others, that is for you to find out and learn to use at your advantage. I realise being one shotted can be frustrating, especially at low rank and with little game experience and protection modules, but believe me when I say that I still get one shotted by Shafts or Rails or Magnums, learn and adapt. o7

    Yeah, unless relatively close, arcade shot is now almost useless to finish far off tanks, so may as well move and do something else, and pray someone else get that flag bearer. Otoh, it is slightly better at close range.

    Likely. It does happen to all weapons, just that if affect low ROF turrets much more than higher ROF ones like Vulcan, Rico or Smoky. Got hit by a Magnum shot today, 0 damage.

    I do take a quick peek around turning my turret in case its VERY close, otherwise I use the opportunity to dash for mission goal.

    There's no real answer to that, it is highly situational. Sure, if I am speeding and I see a Rico or whatever coming at me I will use my momentum to fling myself against a wall then pop a Double Damage and kill him. Doesn't always work, that's a situational call. Sometimes, when you see him coming its better to avoid fighting and make a detour so he can't shoot you. If he follows you, then you can set up an ambush as he turn a corner. Anyhow, you effectively baited him out of his mission parameters, unless you playing TDM. For example, once my missions are done I prefer playing in Pro battles, sometimes without supplies at all. Also target priority: Sure, killing the flag bearer needs to be done, but its useless to shoot it if you know you can't kill him in one shot if it's all you've got, so better wait to try to flip him, or kill the Isida following him, or pop a Double Speed and get into a better position to get a shot. Sometimes, Double Speed will win the day, as you take a shortcut and use yourself as a blockade to stop the bearer, giving time for someone else to do something. Or you pop a DD at the same time when you block and kill him. Or sometimes pop a DD and multiple arcade shot him. These tactics can work with many turrets, but this is teh Shaft thread, so ;) What you see from good players, that don't mind about K/D ratio is use yourself as a 'human' shield, either to block shots to the flag bearer or make a blockade of your tank to stop a pursuer. In these case, a Double Defense is better than a Double Damage. Edit: The 2 turrets I hate most as far as aiming goes is Vulcan and Twins (you can't outshoot a Twin with arcade shots), Rico, Rail, Smoky are annoying but you have a big second between shots to take aim. Note to Shaft users: Sometimes, its better to release your Scope shot and run and live for an arcade shot than stand and die if you anticipate you won't be able to aim at all.

    I,m not scoping when I go after a flag, I hardly even get shots in. It has nothing to do with taking flags. However, when someone else is getting the flag, it's very useful for covering fire. If anything, it can be versatile. Not the weapon itself, more the situations where one can use it. I sometimes sit andcamp, but mostly I like flanking and misdirecting. But you can do that with any turret. At your level, Shaft can be opverpowering sometimes, but at high level, it is not that good against m4 hulls. I don't kill Hornets/Wasps at full charge if they have 35% + resistance, and believe me, after a bit most of my opponents tend to get some Shaft protection. Or keep dying. Is Shaft OP? I don't think so. Is it deadly? Sure. Is it VERY deadly? In my hands it is, without false modesty. Skill can turn an average turret into a good one, and a good one into an 'OP' one. But then, except for some bouts with Smoky (and Freeze on a lower account), I've been using Shaft almost exclusively since I started playing, through nerfs and whatever situation is thrown at me... especially since Matchmaking. o7 Edit: How do I cope with any turret that can shift my aim? When I see evidence I'm gonna trade shots (in scope) I hit a wall or something to stabilize my hull, helps a lot.

    I often dominate with my Shaft fitted Hunter in CTF. More often than not, I have few kills as I'm busy getting flags, so clearly Shaft is OP. Never mind players skills, with whatever turrets or situations.

    And that is where the scam lies: If TO had been honest with their players they'd have told them the new costs before the update. Instead, the dishonesty is compunded bu the fact they rushed up to get the update live a few days before the TO's birthday (and price reductions) in hope it would smooth things over. Blatant cash grab as I ever seen.

    Yep. Zero. Nada. Get lost. Nothing. At all. Basically, unless you are multiple legends with huge amount of money and/or buyer with a large load of triple/quadruple protection modules (at least 15 of them), your are told by TO that that is that. You don't like our policy? Well, there's our way, or there's the highway, and you're welcome. The thing is, with TO's creative maths over the price of new modules (which are 3 to 5 times the old module cost) there is almost no way to get compensated. Of course it make sense from a monetary point of view, after all they WANT you to BUY these batteries, and since most Legends don't need to buy supplies anymore due to huge personal stocks, the only way to get them (Legends) to buy the new batteries is to scam them by fixing new arbitrary prices that will check most of them off the batteries refund program they advertised.

    Is it just me or the ghost bullet glitch is back? Had instances of it happening around once every 3 or 4 shots on multiple matches over a few days.
  19. TO is merely reaping the results of the unified battlelist, which was made to cater to lower player counts. Guess what? The new (and upgraded) Unified Battle List can't handle more than the projected usual number of players? Did I mention that I detest the unification of servers and reduction of playing options? Bravo TO for reducing playability. You know, most games usually do it the other way around, as in augment playability.
  20. At the present time, every single Battles are PRO Battles. There is NO regular battles.

    All very nice, though some OD will really screw up playstyle/gameplay of players on some Hull/Turret combo. For example, Hunter/Shaft (what I use, only thing I own as a non-buyer) take a deep nosedive... Sucks to be me I guess.

    And that is why I never go for teh Flavor of the Month turret and keep enjoying what I own, even when it is underpowered. The great nerf wheel always turn.

    I'm starting to be really tired of 3/4 of players not understanding the other 3/4. That unified server was a really bad idea for keeping players together and interacting. Also, i've nerver seen so much drugging and one sided battles. Devs, honestly, Matchmaking should have been done BEFORE the unified server update. Russians are literally farming the worldwide community - this is anti-fun, so to speak. Yoyr atempt at getting more players together (as in: unified servers) is going to be, IMHO, a disaster. I'm about to stop playing myself.
  24. 1. With the servers merging, a majority of the players I now play with write and speak russian. Communication is bad and make the games more boring. 2. Russians generally having better equipment and being heavy druggers, well, it was hard to get some degree of control over any given match trying to filter out heavy, unbalanced drugging teams, now it's almost unmanageable. 3. On the live Q&A Cedric questioned why should we take so long to find teh right match, spending on average 4 to 24 minutes to find the right match. Well, it is worse now.
