    Dunno, every Alteration comes with a significant drawback. I prefer to play without Alterations and keep the turret's versatility (if you can call Shaft versatile).

    Well, I got that horrified feeling when I played in Rio today and couldn't hit target on the roof anymore, uh... It seemed to me I was killing more than usual with arcade shots though. I think tactics and sniping spots will have to be adjusted, and a LOT on some maps. Oh, I am using no alterations, I like the versatility of the stock Shaft.

    I almost exclusively play with Shaft (m4) and I agree that against a M3-4 Vulcan, in direct shootout between the two, Vulcan usually wins. However, you don't fo that as a Shaft user - You avoid the duel and shoot softer targets, including the ones the Vulcan already softened for you. :) That being said, Shaft success (in DM) is also dependant of not having too fighting against too many heavy hulls, and all drugs being equal ofc. Speaking as someone who often finish top 3 in DM Polygon. As for Vulcan: I agree, it's fantastic dps turret and often easily dominates, especially with drugs.
  4. Indeed, that was pretty under-handed. And most turrets have to endure the brand new 'ghost bullet' glitch now, where shots disappear in thin air.

    Its NOT perfect - It brought to the game a brand new glitch: The 'Ghost Bullet' which is not fixed yet, after 3 weeks.

    70+ pages of mostly negative feedback. Zero communication to the player base from TO staff about bugs and second/third wave changes after the 'rebalance' release. I see this going far.

    The lack of communication on the why of changes, and even worse, when there are major changes on turrets/hulls, and TO meticulously ommit the changes on their V-Log or on the Forums is infuriating. Players wants to know that changes are made or new stuff added. Players want to know when. And they want to know why. In today's world, where information is easily available, and communication quasi-instant, the Omerta rule is a terrible way for an open service to manage it's community.

    The thing is, changes get made and nobody amongst the devs actually bother to give any explanations on why they change stuff, so it looks to the players like completely arbitrary, improvised decisions made on the fly at a day-to-day basis, without any feedback to the community on the why. Then, they get a V-log out that carefully go around glaring changes or player issues, no answer, no feedback. Sometimes, we get a: 'It has been passed to the devs and we are looking into it' or 'We are aware of your concern' stuff. Then nothing for weeks or months. If ever. TO has a terrible communication line with it's player base.

    He's not speaking about the Rebalance Update, he's asking about the last (28 October) update's nerf: That is - Firebird and Freeze effect cone no longer shoot through hulls.

    It is happening to a lot of turrets, especially noticeable with shaft (because sniping mode). It is NOT lag, shots just 'disapear' and have no effect. But if it is a new kind of lag, then TO is in creek now.

    No, not that. The glitch that make turrets start rotating by themselves. Especially noticeable with shaft. It started to happen after the mouse control was developed. Dev's answer at the time basically was: 'Too complicated, no time, not a priority, use mouse control or learn to live with it.'

    Passed the iinitial knee jerk reaction, I'm fine with the update. Now, I am less fine with the 'Ghost Bullet' and the 'Hulls being caught on every pixel of the map while moving' glitches. Given the dev's record at fixing the 'Turning Turret' glitch.... yeah. :unsure:

    Shaft is perfectly fine in Polygon CP - Not every players have to go and sit on the Objective. A couple of support tanks cleaning up enemy reinforcement going for the objective have their roles.

    I'm fine with drugging in general, I do it myself on and off. I am not fine with what I will call 'stupid' drugging, which come in two forms: A: That guy that 123 drug non-stop and end up winning 40 to 12 for the second best in a battle of 4-5 players, for a tiny Battlefund at the end and is sitting there at the finish, chest beating over his great victory. B: A handful of counter-productive players that have an obvious advantage (either higher ranks and/or numbers) and still drugs like their very lives depended on frantically hitting 123... and drive most/all players out within a handful of minutes, destroying their own match, income and 'fun-time'. You will often see these players sitting in a empty game for minutes, hoping someone will actually log in their match at 4-5 vs 1, even if the score is already 80-3 in their favor... :rolleyes: So yeah, drugs are fine. Mindless drugging is... stupid.

    They removed the Penetrating Power entirely. Then they turned around and buffed the Rail's. Rail's penetarting Power is now 100% at m4. Disapointed.

    Shaft's Penetrating Power was removed entirely, so no multiple kills anymore. For what reason, I cannot fathom. That is now the exclusive domain of the Rail, whose Penetrating Power was buffed quite a bit.

    Bugs and Glitches Reports [Closed]

    Just out of a match, happened again. Stared loading a sniper shot and had to release it almost immediately, at point blank of a Freeze/Hornet. No effect, no damage, shot vanished in thin air.

    I like the way you think. To should remove all turrets and hulls and keep one of each, say Hornet/Isida. Then there would be no butthurt, everyone would be equal, and they could change the name for IO (Isida Online), Ô great one.

    I played a few games today and mostly, players were complaining about the changes: 'Switching around Hunter and Viking stats' Nobody expect a Viking when they buy a Hunter. That's really a really bad decision IMHO. Uniformity in stats: There is basically 3 Hulls now, instead of 7. That is BAD, Diversity is what make a game fun. Turrets, well, I see Firebirds and Freezes everywhere in DM now. What I personally noticed: Hammer stopped one-two shotting everything in sight with DD: Good. Isida isn't a self-healing powehouse solo pawn-mobile anymore: Good - Yeah, you Isida now have to use Repair Kits like everyone else. Shaft lost the Penetrating power entirely - No more double/triple kills. Rail is less powerfull but shoot more often - With now 100% Penetarting power at m4, at DD it is now very powerfull for multiple kills at range. * What affected me and other Shaft users: The Shaft is buggy, some shots don't register at all - NOT the damage counter not apearing, shots just don't register. 0 damage. Nada. Easy, static shots on Immobile targets. Zerp damage. No, it is not lag. Maybe other turrets suffer the same glitch, I haven't noticed. Rainbow screen bug: Sometimes, there is graphic glitch and the screen get greenish/rosy with pixelised glicthes all over. No it is NOT my computer. I need to test this more, but it seems to me that tanks tend to stop in the middle of nowhere, from full speed to zero, as if they hit an obstacle or got superglued to the ground. I am not happy so far, but I will give myself some more time to get the hang of it before commenting again. :(
