It has been all to common a sight lately to be part of a match that there are an equal number of tanks on both sides, then half way through the match a chunk of one of the teams will disappear and it becomes a slaughter. Finding a good match anymore with the god forsaken Match Maker is like finding a unicorn. Having a decent match ruined because players are being booted, lagged, whatever out of the game is asinine. Why I bother posting this I dont know. Tanki doesnt care what we think. The point is, the devs need to stop wasting time on new turrets, hulls, etc that degrade the balance of the game and FIX THE GAME! Too much about has turned into a dumpster fire. Put some time into making the game fun again instead of a bloody frustration.

Obviously reading is not your strong suit. There has been jack $hit relating to wins/loses. All of the matches I play in save a few are pure trash. There is ZERO balance in the game anymore. How the F do people not see that??? With turrets like Magnum, Gauss, and a lesser extent Rail paired with a heavy hull there is little chance to play other turrets when they can just boost a repair kit and destroy you, even as you rattle off multiple volleys of rounds.

This just goes to show what a pile of garbage this game has become. You just need you pay enough to buy the latest equipment and you can slaughter on the battlefield by just mashing buttons. No skill required.

Up to 15 matches of pure garbage now. 1 I was on the "winning" side of. Zero balance or competition.

That makes sense. Several times today I would have a flag and be returning to base with it and there would be no support from anyone on my team. They would just let me be destroyed and either swoop in to take the flag or let it be returned so that they could just get more kills. I havent been able to put my finger on it, but the WAY people are playing has changed so much. It seems like there was a lot of teamwork that people engaged in that is totally missing now. Unless you know the players in your match you are just left to fend for yourself.

yeah, it really is. I started playing years back with my son. He stopped playing as well for a while because of computer problems. Now that I have tried it again I have recommended he not start playing again because it is so frustrating. He will have more fun on his Xbox anyway. The funny thing is that he used to spend a ton of money on this game. Sucks for the devs...

The funny thing is that so many of the players dont even get it. When you have one team full of legends and the other a mixed bag that is being curb stomped and raped all they say is "if you dont like it then leave". Then those same jackoffs complain when the number of accounts is so low. There is so little desire for competitive matches it is insane. Seriously, I got nothing. I have tried to give this a go, but holy f^&k this game is beyond terrible now. I am going to take a break and go get water boarded so that I can relax after enduring this puss filled blister on my ass that is Tankionline. The BRS?

9 battles now. Still utter garbage for gameplay

Just to toss another log on the fire. I have jumped into 7 battles in a row and each of them was an unmitigated dumpster fire. ZERO balance, just one team steamrolling the other. Of all the things that is causing people to quit this game, the total lack of competitiveness is one. It creates no interest or desire to log on again. I know I play a lot less. 8 battles now.

After I get some protection against Magnum I am thinking about getting the Berserk mod. Seems like it could be a wicked combo with the Viking OD.

It is not a case of must speak english, but a case of setting the servers up so that english speakers can play together. Learning Russian would be a waste of time. It would be useless to do so. Additionally, I know the whole idea of capitalism a mystery to Russia, but it is a good idea to give your clients what they want. It is clear this is a Russian game. It ignores the customer and does the opposite of what they want for short term gain. I have said it before and I stand by the idea that the devs are killing Tanki to push people to TankiX. All that is left for Tanki is to be used to squeeze whatever cash is left from the remaining customers and use it to test ideas for TankiX. Look, I love playing with people from all over the world. That was one of the draws for this game. It means nothing when most of the world cannot communicate with the bulk of the players they are paired with.

I think this question goes hand-in-hand with "Why does no one speak English anymore?" Most battles I am in everyone speaks Russian. It is impossible to communicate any strategy in that situation. Plus it is just annoying having no idea what anyone is saying. FWIW, Russian in the 8th most spoken language while English is 3rd. Change is needed on those servers...

I have Sledgehammer and it is only useful with the Hornet OD IMO

The long and short of it is it sounds like the best investment is in protections and not in drones or hulls. Is that a fair statement? Also, what the hell were they doing with Gauss? Looking at the parameters for it, it sure looks like Thunder is obsolete. Why would anyone buy Thunder when Gauss is superior in damn near every way?

So as I stockpile crystals do you have any recommendations on what I should invest in to make things go better? Protection against Magnum and Gauss seem to be in order. They have really taken over the game. I am going to keep saving until the next discounts weekend, but want to make a plan so that I can not be so miserable when I am put into matches with Legends.

Great job destroying a fun game Devs. I am so angry right now I dont even know what to say. What a catastrophic waste of time to every play this stupid game. There is literally ZERO point to playing again since they have changed the game such that it is impossible to be competitive in any match the worthless matchmaker puts me in. Again, I dare anyone to look at my profile and tell me a single thing I can do other than pay these dirty developers a wad of cash to make my kit competitive with the Legends I am put into matches with time and again. They can all go to hell.

In short? Return the game to when you had to work with and strategize with people you didnt know all over the world. Now the game is so mercurial you there is no strategy.

Not sure that it is going to matter. I am going to stop playing again. The game is just out of hand. There is no balance to any of the matches that I get put into. I appreciate the advice that has been posted, but Tanki is just not enjoyable anymore. Honestly I figured they would have killed it off sooner to push people to TankiX. It is clear that the only way I am going to be able to compete in any way is to spend a lot of money to be able to buy drones, protections and MU components. Of course after that the devs will change things so that all of my investments are useless. It seems to be the way of things. The terrible thing is that there are many great ideas to fix the game and make it interesting/competitive. It is clear that the devs have a different plan in mind. Everything runs its course and it is clear that Tanki is pretty much dead. Try to convince me otherwise, but until then I am done.

So I have noticed that Match Maker is totally broken. Typically dumps me into battles with Legends and even when it doesnt it is maybe 1 out of 10 matches that is competitive between the teams. Not sure why the devs keep on working on other turrets/hulls when there are basic issues with game play that make too many of the matches a waste of time. Another is Magnum. I stopped playing shortly after it was released. It was an interesting turret that had a unique dynamic about it, but it would not sway a battle. It seems now that Magnum is out of place in the game. Perhaps players have realized how to use it better, but I have found that matches tend to be dominated by Magnums because of how powerful they are. Too many maps allow a player with Magnum to hide and shoot with no chance of danger themselves. The term OP is thrown around a lot, but Magnum truly is OP. Isida with self heal was no where near as powerful and game altering as Magnum is to many maps in the game.

I am finding that Thunder is damn near useless. I just got done pounding a M3 Wasp with 39% protection and didnt get a kill after 3 shots damn near point blank. It appears TO has nerfed the old guns to push buyers into the new garbage they are putting out that overlaps the old guns everyone has invested in. No wonder so many people have quit playing. Stupid developers...

Spot on post. The only other thing I would add is that Matchmaking is a joke. I have yet to be put in a match where I have a competitive match. I am not sure what criteria they use, but it is just wrong.

I am about at that point. It is unfortunate that I have a Hornet that is pretty worthless now. Every turret can kill it in either 1 shot or in seconds (fire, freeze, isida). The protections that come with drones and drugs make the game too unbalanced and not very fun. All of the strategy that I remember is gone. It has been replaced with people just mashing buttons to engage whatever supplies they have and just destroying. I spend more time respawning than actually playing, and that is with ranks below me. Most of the time MM places me with legends and I end up with at best a 1:10 K/D. I think I will play through this weekend and be done. When the game is more frustrating than fun it is time to move on. Good job screwing up a good thing Tanki.

One other observation. Matchmaker sucks giant monkey balls. I keep being placed in matches where people are equipped in such a way that I have no way to compete. It is ridiculous. I have no idea what the programmers are thinking, but they are freaking wrong. There is ZERO balance with MM.

As I continue to play there are a few things I am noticing. First, drugs have become cheap due to crystal inflation. A tanker can earn a ton of supplies through completing missions and obtaining containers. Second, there is a lot more tank destruction going on. Lighter hulls are easily done in with one shot. This has increased the variety of hulls being used, but is still frustrating if you have invested in a lighter hull. Lastly, drones are way OP. I am saving to get one and see how it impacts my game, but so far those with drones are able to dominate a match immensely.

If find it rather ridiculous that I cant even compete against tankers several ranks below me due to the changes. Just left a match where I was the highest rank and could not even get 1 kill. With an M4 Rico and DD I kept plugging a Brigadier in with Hunter/Hammer loaded with supplies and I couldnt kill him. He just popped a repair kit, turned and killed me with 1 shot. It really appears PRO pass may be the way to go. So far I have found no way to find an interesting match that allows me to play longer than 30 sec without dying. So far I am regretting coming back to play tanki. This has been a frustrating waste of time.
