    I hear what you are saying, but there is the basic question of having fun playing the game. It is not very much fun to get destroyed in every match you play. No one enjoys that. A year ago it was a rare occasion that my K:D was below 1. Over the past few days of playing it is a struggle to just get it above 0.5. At first I thought I was rusty, but it has become very clear that the gameplay has changed dramatically and so far I would say not for the better... When it is not fun to play people just will do something else. Perhaps this is TO weeding out the non-buyers?

    FWIW Rico is my favorite and IIRC I have mine upgraded to M4. I will pair that with my Hornet and give it a try.

    No, I dont pay. Not going to start. I have read that the common complaint is that buyers dominate and I wrote that off as whining. After doing a few matches it seems to line up with what you are saying. I have encountered too many tankers that don't even move their turret and destroy me even though I can maneuver like I never stopped playing. I wondered if the game play had changed to benefit heavy tanks more or to just have higher kill rates in general. It appears that perhaps you are on point that it is purely pay to play now.

    I considered that, but I am getting throttled even by tankers without overdrives engaged or drones. It seems as though my usual combo of Viking and Thunder is useless since Thunder appears to be nerfed and Viking gets shredded easily. The Viking overdrive is nice, but happens maybe once or twice a match. Do drones make that much of a difference?

    Started playing again after a 9 month hiatus. I hardly recognize the game now. After reading up on drones and Overdrives I feel like I have a clue on what is going on, but wow the game play is totally different now. It seems like it is almost impossible to go 30 seconds without being destroyed. Even lower ranks are taking me out in short order. Is that they way the game just is now? I would expect having M3-M4 equipment with ample supplies should allow me to at least have a 1:1 kill ratio, but that isn't the case. So it begs the question - What am I missing???
  6. You totally whiffed on a prime shift with the repair kit change. Mines. No longer can you just boost a repair kit to blow through that field of mines protecting the flag on Lost Temple. Now you have to search out the mine laying tank/tanks to be able to get the enemy flag. The only counter so far is a magnum or two continually pounding the enemy position to keep the mine build up to a minimum. So far it appears the play on that map has slowed to a glacial pace with two caps feeling like a huge accomplishment.

    I can collect drop boxes, but the gold boxes dont take. I understand strange things happen sometimes, but there have been enough lately that there is something wrong. My ping has not been above 400 at the times of these issues.

    My tank will not collect gold boxes. There have been three in the past few days that I have been directly under the box and it will not credit me the box. Instead, the next tank will get the box. I did a test on a map with only myself and one other tank and still I couldnt collect the box I dropped. This is incredibly frustrating. No, I dont have any lag issues when this happens. Please fix.

    New thread for critical errors

    Before the update I would run Tanki on Microsoft Edge and it played perfectly. Now the fps never gets above 10. Please fix this.

    I have not experienced any critical errors, but have had terrible lag since Wednesday. My fps will only go up to about 30. The game is almost unplayable. I am using Edge for my browser.

    That is an interesting point, but really, how are you to know if you receive the crystals or not? Is there a message notification? Otherwise you need to know exactly how many crystals you have when you log out.

  14. What is the most important aspect developers look at when assessing gameplay? What is considered a "good match" in the eyes of the developers and how do they try to make that occur more often?

    Still not buying what you are selling. How about all of the time spent developing the new artillery turret? You cant tell me that is not an time intensive exercise. I have a hard time believing this is not an issue that developers could not address with a modicum of thought and effort.

    Your situation is much less frequent and would require a rather high level of collusion. If we are going to acquiesce that mults will be an issue in the game then I see no way to get around the scenario you describe. Do you design the game for intentional cheating or for basic scenarios that require NO cheating? I would argue you deal with real issues in game play first. The only other option is for the early termination timer to kick in much sooner than it does. Currently it takes way too long. Even on a large map you can cap 5 flags before it kicks in. At that point the match is a lost cause and as a player you have wasted your time. This wouldnt be an issue if players had any class, but time and again the Tanki community has shown it is full of self indulgent children that have no concept of competition, but rather are so self focused as to not understand what a fun game can/should be. Abject drugging and farming in a 7vs2 or worse match is indicative of a bully mob mentality that is bereft of any consideration for fellow tankers.

    If you can develop algorithms that tweek the smart cool downs like has been done repeatedly in the recent past you can do this with the flags. With regards to glitches, it happens. It is always a risk.

    The source of my vitriol is the fact I have posted in the forums multiple times regarding game play issues and solutions to them with nary a sniff from mods. Really, the farming issue in CTF is such a simple one to fix it is absurd. If there is more than a 40% difference in team balance then flags are frozen and no further capping can occur. Done! So simple it will never happen. Then again this game has made me quite jaded and caused me to stop playing for months at a time due to game play and tanker culture.

    How is it fathomable that the developers allow flags to be capped when a match starts and teams are drastically unbalanced? For example, I just left a match where to start it was 7vs2 and the score was 5-0 before the teams became remotely balanced. Of course the leading team continues to have more players since tankers will always join a winning team first. This kill the game play. I would like to think that more players would have good sportsmanship and would not farm flags under those circumstances, but unfortunately too many tankers are pathetic worms that have no concept of competition. So, it begs the question - why is this a problem to begin with? Why not fix this easily correctable problem to better game play for all instead of jerk around with MU ratios for MO players? Would love to get a reasonable answer to this, but unfortunately none of the admin will have the guts to respond with anything remotely resembling logic.

    The unbalance in teams is my biggest issue with the game. I have posted on this so many times it is silly, yet the issue continues to get worse and worse. The supply use is frustrating, but can at least be mitigated if the teams are balanced. Too many times though, one team will be sabotaged by mults joining, then leaving the match so that you are stuck in a 8v4 or worse match. Why anyone would think this is enjoyable game play I have no idea. There are so many simple ways of fixing this and Tanki spends ZERO time looking into it. I stopped playing for 2 months because of this issue. Just played 2 matches on 10/31 and had the same issue. Not playing again until there are real fixes to this simple problem. Unfortunately I have to say that this forum is nothing but a vacuum for your comments. Tanki doesnt give a rats ass what you have to say and will just ignore any and all comments. I have yet to see any substantial response to address my comments and concerns. So, lets vent, but understand we are doing nothing more than pissing into the wind.

    This has been an issue for a long time, on it is infuriating that the devs will do absolutely NOTHING to fix the issue. The problem is that there is ZERO balance in the game. I have not played for 2 months simply because I was tired of the lack of competitive balance in the game. I jump in today and the only two matches that I play start with even teams, then within 2 minutes one team has double the amount as the other. This is so pathetic it is a waste of time. Why in the hell would anyone consider this reasonable gameplay. Sorry Tanki, but the inherent cheating and terrible sportsmanship in this community has turned me off for good. No more time or money from me. Moving on from this pathetic game. So absolutely disgusted. BTW, I am not going to go through the trouble of posting solutions to the problem. I have done so very many times and it is apparent that the devs have a deaf ear and this forum is nothing but a placation to players. So sad.

    I have proposed solutions in several other threads, as have other tankers. That is the reason for the vent. When there are simple solutions proposed to big gameplay issues and they go ignored that causes discord.

    How long do we have to complain about lag, unbalanced teams, and mults before the developers do something? This game is getting miserable. I have spent plenty of time playing, and am ready to just stop. The problems are so easy to fix, yet the developers seem to spend all of their time on useless sparkly updates instead of addressing fundamental issues that are degenerating this game. FIX THE ISSUES TANKI!! NOW!!!! I dont care about new paint moduals or gold box effects. I care about fun and interesting matches. I have played for 2 hours today and foudn ZERO matches that were either fun or interesting. All of them were stuffed with mults or full of terribel lag that ALL players were experiencing. To put the icing on the cake there were several times that I would join a full team on an 1:1 CTF match only to discover when I was in the match there were only 3 tanks on my team instead of 12. Then the other team farms such that it is 6:1 and my time has been wasted. Get a clue Tanki and fix these issues. Players are really tired and frustrated and ready to move on.

    Of course not. In that case the Auto Finish would address the issue. By no means am I suggesting that there is not a place for Auto Finish. It has its place. But the 5minutes or so for tankers that are getting destroyed while Auto Finish sits to kick in is maddening. A CTF battle often swings enormously by just a 2-3 tank differential - times the Auto Finish will not kick in. Also, if the match is tied, and half your team leaves, then you see your battle fund evaporate because the advantaged team will cap a multitude of flags before the match ends. Some players have class and will not do this, but they are far in the minority. Instead the advantaged team will often load up on supplies, spawn kill, and cap for the duration of the match.

    Actually, that could be an option, as long as the players moved could keep their score. Unfortunately I think the scoring methodology is problematic. Instead, the solution should be as I proposed. if the teams are unbalanced, the flag ghost so that no one can move or capture them. The match would default to a TDM at that point so that the battle fund would still accumulate and the players obtain scores. Once there is a balance the match continues as normal. They point of emphasis is that if you have worked hard in a match you should not see your battle fund reward disappear because some of your team did, or you had no team to begin with. Another place where this solves problems is when there is connection issues. There have been several occurrences where I have been in a great match and due to connection issues half of one team disappears. In the time that is needed for those tankers to get back into the match, the other team takes advantage and farms 4-5 flags.
