Thunder isn't necessarily the best drugging weopon. It really depends on how much wasted damage there is. For instance, one shot does 81 out of 95 HP and the second shot does the same, you're wasting 67 damage on the second shot.

You misunderstand. I was talking about why recruits and privates used it. Not gismos. I like Smokey M2, but M1 got outclassed by WO5 and it takes ages to get M2. So you see a long range without smokies.

They use it because it's cheap and available. When I first started I thought smokey was trash because it was the first turret available. Big mistake.

And one more, On my alt I have Wasp M1, is it worth MUing all the way? The price to get all of them in the speed and protection categories ammounts to 100,000 and these are the only ones I'd be interested in. There are really three options, get another hull which M2's earlier, use Wasp M1 when it's outclassed, or upgrade.

BTW, can anyone list some sales that have occured consistantly over the years? I don't mean things like Halloween, Christmas, and Tanki's birthday.

M2 looks way classier though. Much more sleek design than just metal plates hammered on.

Well, Hornet is actually a "Light" hull. It really depends on what maps you prefer and your playing style. If you tell me these I can recommend which would be more effective.

Depends, I prefer rail in Mid-Large maps that have good cover. If you pick the right position you can dominate with rail. Thunder has splash damage and lacks a tracer, but it also has to expose itself more often. It is also important to consider your aiming skills and frequency of use. Thunder has a much faster reload so missing a shot doesn't usually have the same effect as missing with rail, where every hit counts.

Isida was never meant to be a powerful offensive weopen, but at M1 it can deal with freeze and fire if used right. Most of the guns you mentioned as OP are balanced or UP and the turrets you think are UP are actually OP or balanced.

Their value is added directly to the battle fund. There was too much of an incentive to sit next to a drop area and wait while ignoring the battle.

Depends on what Turret I'm rolling with. Hornet is better at impersonating a medium hull and absorbing fire, wasp negates its low health by not taking the damage in the first place. It also depends on the rank. Wasp M1 is better than hornet M0 and is available sooner than H M1. But there's a huge gap between M1 and M2, so you are better of rolling with HM2 when it becomes available. Wasp M2, however, blows hornet M2 away. It's up to the tanker as to whether or not they want to Micro upgrade to stay competive.

Tanki got the same thing over hammer. I think you're forgetting that there's an entire Russian commiunity out there that is far more populous. They have to find a name that is popular in both communities.

On a more serious note, Excellant V-Log, I doubt I'll use mouse control, but it should be a fun new addition to the game. Also very pleased that the hammer and Vulcan additions will be additions only, and not replace existing protections. Keep up the good work!

Agree about Mammy, way too easy to fall asleep even on mid sized maps. Wasp M1 felt really powerful against hornet M0 when it's first became available. You have better HP and amazing speed. Extremely easy to circle enemy hulls and dodge with it especially since your opponents tend to have stiff turret syndrome.

It depends on what else you have... Do you own Hornet M2? Thunder M1? Are you a fan of shaft? If you have several M1 turrets that work with Vik I would go with Viking M2, if you have an M1 Hull that works with Rico, buy Rico first.

While on the subject of XT designs and possible tank personalization I had an idea. I think it would be an excellent initiative to create a contest to decide which designs should be implemented. For instance, tanki could reach out to any artists that play and give them rewards for, essentially, doing work for the art department.

I used to run with M1 Rico and Hornet. It was my favorite turret from WO1 all the way to WO5, however, once I started using M1 rail I can't go back. It is very effective in small and constrained maps and the versatility it shows has always made it worth using. The only real disadvantages are the difficulty involved with "leading" a fast tank, the limited range which makes itself known in maps like Dussel, and the magazine.
