Well, I'm not a new player, it's just a new account. Had to start at the bottom. Yeah, you don't always get as much bang for the buck, but it's not just about accumulating rank and money, it's about the game. I like those games. They about game play, not most efficient method of ranking up and upgrading. Truth be told, I kind of carried the second game team, so for once a shaft got to shine. That said, we lost, bad. Only one other guy there that was any good. We could have ruled like the first game if we had kept the same players, but they bailed so, yeah, oh well. Not many places for shafts to make money anyways so, what'cha gonna do right?

Update: Welcome 2strong. (added to the player list) Decided to kick it a little more "rootsy", classic southern rock added to the playlist. (Note: Spoiler is nice, but the embedded YouTube is still a lot to load and scroll, will be replacing those with links soon, FYI) On a different note, I had never played CP in Berlin. BRUTAL. Two 1 hour games. Good lord, that's work, not fun (just kidding, I loved it, but then I like to play hard). 60 minutes of fighting over CPs, let me tell you, that's a damn big map to have to respawn and truck across for those far away places. Try it some time. If you like a thinking man's game, that's certainly one. First game my team rocked. The second got a truck full of ******s, we lost, but I took first on our team, but frustrating. Try playing with a few folks you know can play so you're not depressed after the first 25 minutes. (Shafts ARE GREAT on this map).

I'll go first. Yep, new account, but had to change (long story). Figured a fresh start, might as well as have some fun and see if Texas could represent. Camping is for fools, I DEER STAND damn it, shoot'em from up on high. Crack beer and pop a Skoal Bandit and let the hunting begin. Tree bark camo overalls, wife beater underneath, deer piss deorderant, it's all good, pop a tab while popping caps. Enjoy.

The Texas Tanki Page Want to know about other tankers in the Lone Star State. If you play and are from Texas, speak up. No city locations and no real names, keep it safe, just thinking about team play with some Texas attitude. 11. Ok, so first, new account, old player, so no whining about my account. (Old one was shared, gave it up, they kept it, I get to start on the bottom) Now, first things first. Team players (clan in particular) are RUINING it for everyone with their "football" sports attitude. Guides like these ARE important, and sniping SHOULD BE a VERY LARGE PART of a combat based game, ESPECIALLY armor with distance. Slug Fest and Clan Maps do not make up the entirety of Tanki and people who immeadiately turn to the "sport" of Tanki suck, period. This is a game about killing enemies. Sure, you respawn, sure you don't reallly die, but we play to get a sense of that. STAYING ALIVE, NOT CAPTUREING FLAGS is a big part of the game play for many of us. The stupid notion of just rush in, do what you can, die, come back, is a disposable attitude, just like the person more than likely doing it. I wish for more guides like these, and I wish E-Sport caln members could go do their league thing far away from us regular players that actually enjoy the notion of combat and killing off your enemies, rather than scoring points all day long by rushing flags. Now, all that said, this article was worthless, pointless, and did not show more than ONE decent place to snipe from on the red team, and I could be bothered to open the blue list, it was that bad. Red Team: 1. Back Left Paved Ledge: You own that side of the map, PERIOD. Your turret moves fast enough to address all four (yes, four) points of entry when scoped here. One Isidia behind you and the other team will likely cease to give much chase here. Now, if we are talking team sports and CTF, your teams flag runner will be covered for the duration of the map crossing until at your base, where the other team might come around and catch you (That's the rest of the teams problem, your job as sniper is done, holding down 1 third of the map is no small feat) 2. Left Map Edge Island: Goes without saying. You have eyes on the ramp, the opposite side trail, and on the base. Wanna make wasps cry, just park here and pick the m off as the run with the flag down the opposite side. Hard to get to this location, but the same for enemies too. Bridge is where they get you, unless they have a sniper camped up on the other ledge. LAser now makes this not so great, but careful use of it to kill flag runners means folks will generally take a while to find you. 3. Right Map Just Past Base Buildings: Camp out on the path with laser on the rocks, there are two point of ingress and you can usually catch them before they can react. IF you move up a little and feeling brave you can snipe on the plaza below. Blue Team: (Note: Blue team really just gets the "shaft" (har har) on this map. Few Good locations and almost always a compromise) 1. Back Left MAp Edge, On Ledge: Ok, go up the ramp, hit the wall, back up. Keep going, keep going. Look you now have eyes on the front center of the enemy base. From here you can snipe spawns and flag runners foolish enough to cut across the front of the center building. If you move arounda little up there, you can hit things further to the right of the map too (I camp, I move about as much as a tree, but yeah, it can be done). Also, great for covering flag runners coming straight down the path. They make the turn and blast anything enemy that is giving chase. CAREFUL, this spot has a blind spot, and the front end of your tank is vulnerable to sniping if you don't park just right. 2. Back Left Behind Ramp Outcropping: Pick a small hull, back into this location, eyes on flag, enough said. They will figure it out eventually, prepare to use this spartanly. You will get a few shots where they don't see you coming down the ramp, take those freebies, they really throw the opponents game off if pack. Top target, Isidia, then fire and freeze. Of course, fast flag capture vehicles always take priority. 3. Right Back Map, Path Next to Building: This is more honorable mention, the ramp there makes it a death sentence really. Now, that said, IF YOU HAVE AN AGGRESIVE TEAM, they will be all over the enemy base, and defenders will be spawning constantly. I have killed up to 5 tanks in a row from here as they enter the fray on their side and I peacefully sniped them from here. Again, this is a conditional spot, based upon your team. All said and told, you can shoot and scoot from here, but popping back out might be meet with a charging shielded flag charge, and it's game over. 4. Regretfully pointing this one out, Center Back, Behind Building: Turn your turret, get behind the building, and pop out and shoot at anything in that vast expanse in front of you. Pop off enemy Snipers up top, runners dumb enough to cross the plaza, etc. You can rack up some serious kills this way, but you're not "supporting your team" and will get a lot of grief for this spot, AND it seems to be a favorite path of egress for SO MANY red team members that you almost always get smashed in here. So there you have it. Serpove right now is my favorite after Dusseldorf. Snipers can make this map painful to play, of course again, Blue team might as well kick rocks in terms of sniping if the red team is good though, expect a 50/50 ratio in terms of stats at best as blue team usually. We need not harp toom uch more on the stupid laser, but remember that sniping now is a hard game. DO IT FROM COVER. CAMP AND PICK your shots. Play for the team, but don't sacrifice for the team. You area sniper, your job is to keep the enemy morale low, kill flag runners, and cover your team's flag runs. Didn't proof this, might be riddled with issues, content is perfect though. Snipers go give regular players and clans men hell. Be the one that everyone wishes was not there. OH, and I read and articles about camping. There is NOTHING unethical about picking a spot and hanging out and killing people in this game, that's your job, just do it where it counts. The Fog Of War
