A little important note: I am not going to write the descriptions of Days 1-7, since I somehow lot every single picture I took for those days. I did write down the experience count and kills/deaths, but not the crystal count. Real and up-to-date statistics will start from Day 8. EDIT: CtrlV crashed the other day, so I lost some of the battle results too. Well, Imgur all the way.

Approved! Edits ~ 1. Please note that the names of turrets, hulls, paints, modules and supplies are proper nouns -- they start with a capital letter. 2. Revise your comma usage -- you're using it wayy too often, even in needed places. 3. Applied Bold and bullets to your ratings. 4. Minor grammar. Nice review, but I certainly disagree with your rating on 'graphics'.

Contest [Issue 63] Continue the Story
Hex replied to Hex in [Issue 63] Continue the Story Newspaper Archive
Continue The Story Hello tankers! This month, I'm bringing a rather old yet interesting contest back to the Newspaper, but with a slight twist. Read on to find out! ______________________________________________________________________________________ Pee Poo Paa a.k.a Introduction: So, basically, I'll be providing you guys a with a paragraph or two of the beginning of a 'story'. What you have to do is to continue that paragraph, writing a story based on the theme of paragraph you select. Keep all of the rules of story writing in your mind, while providing the story a end of your choice. In the very end, give your story a suitable title and publish it below. As for the paragraphs ~ The Stories: Story 1 - by 2089. It was a time of death and despair -- the Earth had just survived famine, drought and whatnot. With the population rising and more and more people dying each year, thanks to food and water shortages, the planet was rotting to its core. Scientists all over the world were gathered to find a solution and to put an end to the madness, where it all but went wrong. Terror struck the planet - there was nothing but rock and sand. The air became toxic. Plants and animals died. We, the humans, were on a path to extinction. Someone had to stand up and do something - someone who would work not for themselves, but for humans, and mankind. Years passed. The promised success never came. The population dropped by millions each day. Gangs of robbers and scavengers lurked the surface, acquiring anything useful that laid in their path. I was a lead scientist working at the Center of Population and Environment Control, or what was left of it. I received a message from my Center last night. I had to face an unforgiving reality -- I had been put in charge; I had to change the Earth and return it to normal... Story 2 - by @tweezers The gravestone before him was stone. Grey, and chilled by the wind that swept through the graveyard, the words carved into it reflected the weak sunlight that filtered through the trees surrounding him. Three lines. A name. Two dates. A quote. The same quote that was on a scrap of paper next to her the last time he had held her, the same quote that was underneath her final paragraph. The same quote that she wrote before she took her own life. But now he knew differently. He took out the card that had arrived in his letterbox five months after the burial. Two days before today. It was plain white, with a few lines printed on it. Anonymous. It said that she didn’t do it. That it was someone else. Someone else who took her. Someone else who took her away from him forever. It had an address. He would find it. And... Story 3 - by @Savage Rain fizzes down onto the hard ground, crashing like lead onto the heads of the shivering men crouched just inside the deep groove cut into the sodden ground. Most lack helmets and many with gaping ugly wounds are struggling with the cold. Not far away, a streak of lightening rents the sky. Thunder's drums roll steadily on in the background. The men are tired, exhausted in fact. Many are drooping like unwatered plants as the clutches of sleep grow ever stronger on them. Several are already lying in the thick layer of cold mud at the bottom of the trench, too tired to care where they fall. To the left there is a gaping hole in the trench wall, where a shell has ripped the earth clean away. The muddy water is stained red in places; red with human blood. A rifle lies nearby, seemingly twisted into a knot by some powerful being in a fit of anger. Still the men hold their positions, gazing with tired eyes across the barren landscape. Little can be made out through the rain, except a few stunted trees. A radio transmitter suddenly crackles into life inside the trench, loud even with the hammering of the rain. The men are aroused, and one reaches for the transmitter and flicks the switch... The Rules: There is no word limit, however, I'd advise keeping it between seven hundred to two thousand words. This word limit is except the parts already given to you! You may keep the story going or end it at a definite point. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden. Plagiarizing one's story might lead to a disqualification from all future contests. Furthermore, reserving posts is not allowed. You may select only one paragraph to write about. Please include your story in a spoiler.* * How to make/code a spoiler Prizes: 1st place - 40 000 crystals 2nd place - 30 000 crystals 3rd place - 20 000 crystals Consolation - 5 000 crystals Deadline The deadline of this contest is 1st May, 2017. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Time to start thinking tanker.
