You misunderstand how alterations work. The 'M' of each alteration is it's own, it is NOT referring to the turret it has been placed on. For example 'Slugger' is an M1 alteration which means it'll fit on any Hammer above M1, aka; M1, M2 & M3 Hammer but NOT M0. Alterations of various 'M' can be stacked upon one another. Alterations of the same 'M', however, cannot be used together. So: 'Slugger' is an M1 alteration and 'High Capacity drum' is an M2 alteration which means they can be used together.
