Depends on whether you already have the map in your cache. Even if you have entered the map before it may have to be re-downloaded as browser caches are very unstable. I used mobile data a couple of times and if the map was already in my cache it used no more than about 10-20mb every 15 mins, sometimes even less. If the map had to be downloaded it used quite a bit more sometimes upto 150mb from what I could tell. Obviously that depends on the size of the map and how many props there are. It'd be best to use the official Tanki client when playing with data as it has a stable cache and doesn't need to re-download the maps as often as the browser. The figures I gave are only an estimate from when I used to play on data, they're definitely not perfectly accurate but should give you a general idea of what to expect.

A couple of battles for missions:

Don't buy all the M1s & M2s, just buy the ones you like best and play with them. Start to save your crystals to buy a kit a few ranks before you will actually buy it and only buy items individually during sales. When you get to higher ranks try to play in battles with drugs turned off otherwise you end up spending alot of your crystals on drugs. Enter contests from the Tanki Online newspaper, they can give you a significant boost if you win some. The most important one is DONT micro-upgrade M1s and M2s, that is too expensive and you will run out of crystals quickly. Just be patient and rank up until you can get a kit or something. And finally; check out the beginner's zone on the forum, it has alot of useful topics.

To me its understandable since you need to communicate directly with developers some of whom don't speak good English, having a translator or an 'in-between' person would slow things down.

I do agree that it would have been interesting to have some content about the map changes in the test servers. Maybe they're saving it for one V-LOG when its all ready, lets wait and see. :D

Tried WoT a couple of times, I found it too realistic and slow paced for my liking. It'd probably grow on me if I played a bit more and took time to understand the rather complex mechanics but I doubt it.
