As Musa said, Moon Silence isn't a mode it was a specific map. Cosmonautics day 2017 was the first introduction of space mode.

Yes. Doing so can result in a block. I'm unsure wether developers have implemented any protections against this however.

There was a major issue with the servers this morning, should be fixed now.

If you think about it without how the voting went RU also has access Deck-9 in terms of map design. its just that for some reason DE decided to attack Deck-9 instead of Opposition as the map designers would have expected.

This option was removed when the rename pass was implemented.

You'll get containers if you participated in at least 1 turn. 3 containers is far better than 100 crystals. :p The point is there are far more RU players than other factions so they meet and kill each other more often than the smaller factions. Most battles have 4-5 RU and only 1-2 of the other factions.

You say you did the kills right before the update. The battle must end normally without being forced by the server in order for the kills from that battle to count. So sadly it seems like you just missed out. :(
