Do one thing buy hornet m2 now then save for the boreas kit unlocking at lieutanent general. But if your not a freeze M3 fan get Wasp M3 later on. Remember kits are always better if you know about them in advance you can save enough.

Lets make it fair give the railgunner a thunder paint too then the thunder can only win if he is way too skilled like making him lose aim which is very hard do do with thunder. Dont worry keep killing railguns at your rank because the M1 upgrade of thunder is pretty damn good but when you reach M3 and play an all M3 battle you pretty much cant do anything without hitting 3.

Well but capturing the point is always more rewarding so that means you really cant do much with thunder these days. i should consider buying a smoky then. Tanki only buffs non-popular turrets these days and from what i'm seeing thunder may be the 2nd most popular turret(assumption) so as you said no more tweaking will be done to it. Anyways my strategy with Thunder is get emerald so my self damage is almost negligible.

^Go for Thunder. Freeze M2 is outclassed now as M3 is just two ranks away. Freeze for some reason just isn't good enough now even at M3 as its ability to stop enemies in their tracks is taken away from it. So Thunder is the best choice for now and as its M3 its much superior to Ricochet M2.

The decrease in damage is just too much for Thunder. For some reason i find i cant two shot a non MUed M3 hornet even at point blank range despite the fact that 2 Thunder M3 shots should deal 180 hp of damage whereas a hornet is just 166. Well may be i need to spend about 200k+ on MUs to 2 shot a Hornet which by then will be M4 so i'll never two shot them. Thunder needs a buff.
