    In fact, Shafts become more annoying as you escalate up the ranks as they develop some deadly sniping skills and a very fast response.

  4. I agree with most, but Hammer has to be replaced with Rico and Smoky definitely should be at the very bottom.Also Shaft is slightly overpowered so i guess its better in the forth place or something.

    I'd say don't bother with protections and focus on MU'ing Rico and viking instead.Not that protections are unnecessary, but i think u have some decent modules which are adequate for survival on battlefield. Perhaps you provide us with some further info, which kinda maps do u play the most ? If you're not a fan of melee combat in small maps then just stick to my aforementioned advice and MU kodiak T-F alongside, otherwise go for an Isida module.

Come on Wolverine, i would never expect this talk from an experienced smoky user like you :/ Ok let me tell you what i think based on a daily involvement in M4 battles. -First, Smoky protections are as popular as Rico's, many many players have Griffon T-D maxed out. -Why would M4 Rico destroy a medium hill with 50% protection using one clip ? what's the point of having protection then? but nevertheless, Rico does a considerable damage even when i have Clay equipped, it takes out 2450 of my 3000 HP ! leaving me with nearly 500 HP -Keep in mind that clay offers 50% Rico protection-. -To answer your question Definitely NO ! M4 Smoky takes 12 shots to destroy lets say M4 Viking with 50% protection. so 11*1.5=16.5 seconds. Rico is capable of finishing it off using one clip and 2 additional shots which takes around 6-7 seconds. -I don't know how Smoky has a range advantage ? i mean yea i can hit targets faraway from me but the damage inflicted is around 50-60 :wacko: which simulates tickling them. While Rico with MFS alt can reach very long ranges with no drop in terms of damage B) . -Rico has less impact force than Smoky, but the higher rate of fire completely makes up for it. You have to keep driving back and forth to dodge Rico shots coz once it locks on u you won't have much to do. So just to recap i'd advise anyone to stick with Rico until Smoky gets a real overall improvement. P.S: I play both Pro and non-pro battles but mostly Pro with no durgs. I have both turrets fully MU'ed -M4-.

Also non drugging Rico will take out non-drugging Smoky in no time =) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In my opinion most turret are quite balanced, the following ones are the most OP Shaft, Magnum and of course Rico. Smoky...meh R.i.P we have nothing to do but to grieve for it.

  11. I disagree about Freeze and Smoky, in my opinion i think its the other way around. Freeze has more energy than firebird yet same DPS and also freezing effect which is too powerful in CTF. Smoky, i have no idea what criteria u based ur verdict upon, its by far the weakest turret currently, and actually Smoky LOSES to any turret at the same modification. I have pretty much a good experience with Smoky and i certainly never win in 1 vs 1 situations.

    Hammer is well balanced and a good all-round turret, the only main drawback is the relatively long reload time between shots especially with HCD alteration equipped. The standard reload time of M4 hammer is 1.8s and 1.98s with the alteration. Hammer is so fun to use thanks to the massive impact force and Slugger alt. makes it even better. As aforementioned, the lengthy reload is annoying because it leaves you completely helpless for about 2 seconds and vulnerable to high rate of fire turrets.

    Prices of MUs were way cheaper back in the day before the separation update, hence many players have Clay and Africa fully Mu'ed.But also lets not forget that M3 modules are pretty much easier to acquire now thanks to the frequent sales. For instance, it costs around 180-190k to buy a module and put 5 MU steps on it during a 50% sale thus more players have protections around 40.

    Keep in mind that Africa costs nearly 1m to max out whilst Hammer gets up to 30 only.Personally i have 5 MU steps on it and not willing to press upgrade again xD

    Rico has always been my least favorite turret, i would only resort to it when i have no other choice. Never MU'ed it once nor bought any alteration. I frankly acknowledge its one of the most powerful out there but i just cant bring myself to enhance it. Probably i'm turned off thanks to Hunter-Rico-No-Turret-Rotation pathetic combo.

    Does Hohloma look appealing :rolleyes: ? I'm still debating on it. I think it looks kinda sexy and the texture is simply elegant. the black shade is a bit faded though..

    Yea, but i can't merely rely on the impact force to harm my opponents.At the end the day, many experienced tankers know how to cope with high impact turrets, they simply drive carefully and slow down before doing any risky maneuver. Meanwhile, Thunder has almost the same impact force but with a much higher damage and a better effective range in addition to splash damage.

    Give Smoky some extra damn range or at least a better reload time! M4 can't even inflict full damage across Monte-Carlo! Shots usually range from 200 to 260!
