If you want to sell a product, you have to convince people to buy it. And that's the first point this topic will be reaching. 1. How to convince people to buy your product If you want people to buy your product, they have to trust that your product is worth buying and that YOU will respect your product. People have to be proud of buying a product, such as "Look! I have a Lenovo PC and it's so awesome!", instead of, "What Lenovo PC? Oh, I replaced it a long time ago, heheheh..." A. You have to respect your consumers. If I buy a lamp, it's my lamp. Now let's say you can modify my lamp to "make it better". If my lamp actually becomes better, great! However, if you constantly change the lamp for the worse, soon nobody will buy that lamp. Same with Tanki Online. I've known lots of people, most buyers, that have left YOUR GAME because of what you did to their equipment. Imagine a happy Vulcan Dictator player before the rebalances. Then the rebalances mess up VULCAN AND DICTATOR and now that player left. What if he was a potential buyer? B. Build a trusting relationship with your consumers It's no secret. If your consumer trusts your product, they'll come back for it. Similar to the first point. How does a company build trust and a good reputation? TRANSPARENCY. How much of what's going on do you know? "Hmm, they have plans for... Uh... changing the game! Yeah!" Reeeeal specific. Thanks for the insight. I didn't know that they planned to change the game. Let's be honest here -- you don't know ANY of what's going on. Nor do I. Heck, nor do some mods! If a player asks a question, most of the time (unless the question is obvious, like "how much for this amount of MUs") the mods will reply, "No clue, use help section to ask questions next time, closed". C. Have others respect your consumers. Currently, buying is a stigma of shame. People are proud to say, "look, I haven't spent a cent on this game and am still OP hahaha". I pull out Thunder M3? "buyer noob!" "u srsly need to buy for an advantage?" "i'm pro, you just steal your mommy's credit card feal some shame". Ideally, it should be "thx so much for supporting the game we play." A comparison of the behavior of the communities is... And Tanki should do this about it.... 2. Taking Action Most of the problems tankers have with financially supporting the game is attitude. Developers already know how they can change their poor attitude themselves, so I won't cover that. What I will cover is how they can change player attitude. A. Community This community as a whole is not one to be proud of -- people crying "noob buyer" all the time, irrational statements, and all the like. However, there are some of the most analytical minds I've seen in Tanki Online regarding statistics. I mean people such as @BlackWasp777, , , and @AbsoluteZero. If the developers listened to minds such as these for a change, a chain reaction that will benefit the community will follow. Let me illustrate. Developers listen to these people -> Game is improved -> Everyone loves the devs and the guys who suggested these good ideas -> More people will listen to the devs and the guys who suggested the ideas -> The devs spread facts such as admins do not drop golds.
