A total waste at this point in time. If you like a nick that has not been taken you can create it as recruit and just log in twice a week (maybe even MU a turret and hull once just to show a little activity) until later on in your Tanki career when you are ready to take it. It takes 10 days from last login for a recruit name to disappear once a request is sent for it. By then, you might even think up a better name.

My first DM since the Sergeant levels - and I did not go 2 servers lower (like I usually do :ph34r:) I started out with Thunder/Viking/Emerald - but then I saw everyone has 40%+ protection against Thunder. So I switched to Firebird and Atom, hoping I would get some credit when someone is destroyed. It's like fighting goddamn rocks.

Really? I get the diggers - an invite to a 1v1 non-XPBP micromap and then demands a private drop. I'd rather do RFG (both tournament-style and free-for-all) because those are fun and everyone gets a chance. And if it a mature crowd for an event, I will drop for each of those who did not get any in the event so they don't feel left out. I usually enter a random battle and join the team up in score (but not ones with a tight score and even sides as those are good battles and does not need an upset in the balance), drop one or a few depending how lopsided the score is, congratulate those who caught gold and then move on to the next battle. Yeah, I don't like those. I will drop at random a lot of times and just build on that rather than hyping in the lobby. I drop for everyone and in a setting where it would be fair to most. But I drop of my own accord, never for an individual request.
