Didn't receive rank up crystals
ghost-guns replied to ghost-guns in Didn't receive rank up crystals Archive
I was expecting 40,000 crystals for ranking up? -
If they would just rotate some new maps into matchmaking and reduce the power of the overdrives (mainly hornet and titan) then things would be more interesting.

It's zzzzz. Needs more map rotation in MM. -
Yeah it's become a lot more popular and seems to be very OP, especially when paired with booster or the hornet overdrive. It drains the health of MK8 viking in a second or two. The overdrives are a problem. Hornet is too strong in the right hands and the titan dome is very annoying.
-
Always viking or hunter and yes with a drone, but I'm not sure which one or what they do. It is frustrating when I have DA and 40% protection and yet my health goes down rapidly.

This turret is disgustingly overpowered. 40% protection is doing nothing!

Logged in today for the first time in a few days. Just quit 5/6 games as they were heavily unbalanced. Other teams caps in first 30 seconds? Leaving. -
This is the reason why online tanki became a P2W game and the community is getting smaller and smaller.

The modification update was fairly pointless from the view of most players. Why not actually make the game more interesting like bringing other maps into MM and nerfing drones. -
On my profile there is almost 50 achievements missing: https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/ghost-guns Also, a lot of players who haven't logged in for a long time (but were M4 players) have Mk4 when it should be Mk7: https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/PauliusDaOne https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/austen_pierce

Still so many without protections - Poorly managed update

There's a player I regularly see in legend battles... their name escapes me (I think it's something to do with smoking weed)... but they roll in every battle with wasp-twins and no modules. You would think they would be tired of getting whooped all the time but no. -
That would be a real shame. Back in the day, the change in turret and hull appearance and the change in shot colours too were an incentive to grind and unlock. I always knew when I was in a high rank battle since the twins plasma was green (m3) and the railgun shots were yellow (M3) etc.

Do some players really think some outcomes from drones are cheats?
ghost-guns replied to Alklines in Archive
Last month I made a topic where I called the booster drone "legalised cheating". That's basically what it is - the game rules allow it but it's not fair. I bought the booster drone myself last weekend. In the past I would already be knee-deep in microupgrades, but I haven't bothered. In fact I haven't even logged in this week. My enthusiasm is just meh. But I have been playing for many years so maybe it's that too. -

Weird to see people discussing cheaters. Whever I complained about cheaters in the past I was quickly shut down, told it wasn't possible and that it was down to lag. The amount of deception in this game is staggering. People who still spend money here must need their heads checking. I can only assume they are children and simply don't know any better. My opinion of the game has not changed - it's crap and a shadow of it's former self. I am logging in less and less these days, I don't even need to force myself to quit anymore. -
The game is already dead and buried. It will suddenly close on week, just watch.

Almost half of my achievements have dissappeared. Things like earn 25,000 xp with firebird.

Stick a fork in it. It's dead. -
Pauliusdaone, a player who had a mostly M4 garage, now has MK4s... lmao. https://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/PauliusDaOne

Are we going to be given back our hours, experience and achievement credits on our profile pages? Also it says "M6" instead of "Mk7". What a mess.

Why you should accept the fact that this game is dead and move on
ghost-guns replied to X_Death.By.Me_X in Archive
I still like to drop in and WHOOP the noobs with my Mk9 railgun (fully microupgraded Mk7 + large caliber rounds) + Mk8 viking (fully microupgraded Mk7) + heavily microupgraded driver drone. I also wear zeus paint like one would wear an expensive watch. -
385,000 crystals for an Mk7 protection module? I am glad that I bought in the Christmas sales...

Yeah I can understand what you're saying. I started playing in summer 2013 or around that time. I have grinded for years by playing a lot and doing all of the missions. It has taken a lot of time and I can understand why most people wouldn't be willing to do that. You have to weigh up what is more important to you - your time or your wallet. In my opinion time is much more valuable and I do regret spending so much time playing this game, but I have enjoyed most of it (but still wouldn't do it again). Buyers take the easy route, but they still have to spend time ranking up. I am amazed to see people with multiple high ranked accounts. In the old tanki, if you wanted an M3 you had to buy all of the modifications (M0, M1, M2, M3). That cost a lot of crystals. So in some ways things are better. You also get more supplies now from missions. However, that is negated by the fact that everyone is on supplies 24/7 so they are quickly consumed. Having recently started using a drone I am also taken aback by how quickly batteries are consumed and how much they cost. Regarding the game now... yeah it's boring as hell. I don't play as much anymore and have stopped doing the mission chains. This is also partly because I have nothing left to buy. The gameplay itself is sucky... quick 7 minute (or less) matchmaking battles where there is usually not much balance. Sometimes it works out well but it is random luck. Back in the day, battles used to be 15 minutes with the option for people to stay and replay the battle again and again. I remember those battles being more fun. Also the lack of map rotation in matchmaking makes the game very dull. I rarely get to play on my favourite maps like highland. The decline in player numbers is most felt in PRO battles, which are mostly vacant now. In summary it's fun to drop in and play tanki but the game has lost a lot of its character.

Ricochet seems stronger than ever.
-
I've got the driver drone upgraded so that I get -20 seconds on the viking overdrive reload everytime I get a kill. Large caliber rounds is the best for this, but it depends on the map of course.

On edge. Not been playing much for the past two weeks and I plan to take an extended hiatus in 2020. The toxic player base still exists. There's buyer marshals / fieldmarshals calling legend players noobs. There's no respect. Then when you call them out they get angry. I saw a youtube video where someone spent 30 million crystals in the Christmas sale. Obviously there is a huge inbalance in the game. The anti-spawn kill update has had a negative effect on pro battles, namely DM mode. If a player spawns next to you then you are dead because they are invincible for 2 seconds which is enough time to do 1000+ damage with freeze, isida, firebird. Matchmaking is still boring and that's the main reason why I'm leaving. It would be better if different maps were introduced like esplanade or other classics. Deathmatch has been removed from matchmaking. Deathmatch in pro battles is not what it used to be because lots of buyers play there now and some of their tanks seem invincible. Nothing left to play for. Nothing left to purchase and everything heavily microupgraded.
