Interview with Mr.Latvian Hello Guys ! today i will be interviewing a very well known tanker who has been involved in esports and has recently been promoted to the first English helper for the toclan.ru platform. Ladies and gentlemen I present the one and only Mr.Latvian ! Hello Latvian welcome to the interview ! Hello, glad to be here! Congrats on your promotion , tell us more about yourself. Thanks! As you can understand from my in-game nick name, I am player from Latvia. I am currently a student and that's about it. How did you discover this game and how did you get involved in esports ? I joined Tanki in August 2013, if I remember correct. I was playing Miniclip games with friends and one day we wanted to see what Tanki Online really is. We joined after re-balance when new graphics were added, but friend of my had played old version. I got involved into eSport by my 1st eSport team leaders - x24storm, F.I.N.I.S.H.E.R and xMoneyMaker. Under their leadership I started to play in SLTV tournaments. Since those days I have been trying to involve myself into helping eSport team. How does it feel to become a moderator for the toclan.ru platform ? These are my 1st days, try to ask this question after 1 month, when I will have worked for my 1st Tournament as referee and helper, but to be serious, I am pretty happy and have many ideas what I can do there, to help EN Community. Check my topic about TOClan.ru on Forum and their website, to be informed for more info. Ok i will interview u again after 1 month What can we expect from you in the near future and what are your goals? Hopefully, you can expect tournaments made by me and other team, involving EN teams more in TOClan tournaments. Goals are to make active tournaments for EN players and others. Well good luck with that ! Many people say that esport is dying in TO. Do you agree? Everything has their problems, but what goes down, that goes up! I hope it does, We had Sltv in the past , do you think toclan will turn out to be better? SLTV had professional team who knew what they need to do and how and I am not saying that TOClan does not have team like that, but since they are quite new platform, lets give them time to show what they can do, but of course, without any doubt, TOClan.ru will be better than SLTV. I hope it turns out to be better , right now people miss SLTV. This new position means more responsibilities, are you up for it ? If I wouldn't be ready for them, do you think I would have joined? Of course I am ready, difficulties make life more fun, then without any actions or problems. What are your suggestion for other tankers who may want to apply in the future ? Start learning Russian or wait few more months till apply as English helper, nothing else can be suggested. Russian language is only reason why I got taken there. You heard him folks ! Go start learning Russian!. What are your comments on the ongoing Hard Cup II and the quality of the tournament ? Tournament and system is well made, only bad thing I can point out there is that none of Communities made official announcement about TOClan new tournament, but luckily tournament has reached 34 teams. Are they aiming for cups for different formats like XP/BP and Light Format? They actually are thinking on making new tournaments, no doubt that they wont stop just to 2 tournaments. Speaking about tournaments. EN teams start playing, I am working on tournament for English speaking players! Now something rather than TO what are your hobbies and what do you do in free time? I like to play floorball, football and sometimes basketball with my friends. Also I like cycling and where ever I go, I go on my bike, not with car(ofc, it's in my city). Football is a noob game interesting.... With that I conclude my interview.
