Why are there so few PRO Battles with supplies disabled if there are so many people complaining about supplies? And even those battles are always the same...lots of Poly and Noise, a few Silence, Arena and Island and maybe Serpuhov...
-
That't true but a Rico can finish off a heavy hull in at close distance rather fast and then it can try to hide for a few seconds and then move on to the next target. After the devs buffed it there were many Ricos in Poly on the RU servers in both DM and CP but here on the EN servers I barely see any protection against it and people still prefer other turrets. In smaller maps this shouldn't be an issue but in larger maps the alteration is a good solution, especially because DPS is less important there.
-
Rico is just so strong...why is it so unpopular?
-
I would start MUing. Hammer first since I've seen many people on the forum saying that it's one of the best turrets at the moment (you will also need the alterations) but if you play larger maps you may prefer MUing Rail first. Don't forget than alterations for Fire and Rail are good investments too.

I've played until Fieldmarshal using 1 Turret and 1 Hull...got the M3s from a kit and then MUed it to M4 at Marshal. Do I regret this? No, but you have to keep in mind that now M4s are weaker compared to M3s than they used to be so the MUs are now less important. Having only one turret makes it really easy for the emeies to turn you down and when the key members of a team are turned down the battle is lost. It is surely satisfying to have your favourite combo maxed out but I think it is more effiecient to have more turrets. The key of winning balanced battles in small maps is to always have more turrets and more protection modules. Personally, I think 3 turrets and 3 triple modules are enough before you start MUing. Now for hulls...a medium hull can go well in most of the maps and you don't really need light hulls unless you want to play XP/BP and heavy hulls aren't really a must.

In battle strategy: they should be your main target. Change equipment if you they have protection (as long as you have another turret that is just as strong as your main turret). Make good use of the supplies that drop, you can drug yourself to counter them effectively. Try to attack in pairs. If you have a friend that you play with it's even better. Outside of the battle strategy: the ideea is to spend your crystals with maximum efficiency. Don't enter long battles unless you know you can stay untill the end. Considering your rank I think it's best to buy a kit or have 1 M2 combo, or maybe 2 turrets and 1 hull. The ideea here is to have a hull that goes well in most of the maps and most of the battle modes. Hunter and Viking are the best choices for this since they are decent in small, medium and large maps. Then I would probably save crystals and buy another kit at Lt. General and start MUing that combo a bit...maybe 10/20. Then I would buy XP or BP and play XP/BP becaise it's a good option for farming crystals (and it's fun too). Then you can buy whatever you need. .Buy new equipment always on sales. Always do at least 1 mission each day. There are several ways of exploting the system...So you get a weekly reward that will give you drugs you'll need in regular battles. Join regular battles only if you want to finish missions or you have a good amount of drugs. PRO Battles are your best choice most of the times. A buyer will always have the advantage...More MUs, more turrets and more protections to turn you down, more drugs...But I've managed to still perform quite well against them like this and even outperform them at times.
-
Protection + MUs price I'm not sure if I understood properly...Are you asking for the price of the Cherry paint before the update that separated paints and protections? If so...I've checked some videos and it was 129k.
-
Totally agreed. Choosing a light hull for Polygon DM is not usually a good ideea because people will always prioritize you as a target since you have low HP. Btw, almost everyone uses heavy hulls in Poly DM and there may be 2-3 people using medium hulls but light hulls? Almost never.

Prices and time for M3 upgrades slashed by 50%
TheBlackChick replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Nope. Sales don't stack. So you get a 25% sale of the new price which is already 50% reduced. So you get a 50% reduction and a sale of 25% of the new 50% so 50%+25% of 50% = 62,5% which is still good -
Who or what is able to set what is fair and what is not in this game? I agree with the second part. Drugs > skill.
-
What if I told you there is also skill involved in the use of supplies?
-
It is the only kit I've bought and Thunder+Viking+Emerald is the combo I use the most. Despite the fact that many said Thunder is trash I've managed to perform really well most of the times with it. The only downside is that sometimes you enter battles in which 50-75% of the players have serious protection against it (especially if you play bigger maps). I don't regret getting this combo M4. It's good in any battle mode if you choose the right maps.

R.9, I wish one day I could be at your level, master... Too bad I don't play that many regular battles...
-
This happened to me yestarday too when fighting a clan. I think the casual druggers like me use it by mistake when the battle gets too intense and they don't look at the timer. There are also people with infinite drugs who got used to drugging a RK whenever they are low on health but they can afford so they just don't care.
-
RK makes a huge difference. Most of the times it produces imbalance between the players who can and the ones that can not afford using a RK after every spawn and this may be why many don't seem to like RKs. However, there are battles in which everyone is pressing 2,3,4 and 1 every single time and if everyone drugs like this a team effort is usually required in order to capture. Some people like being able to absorb all the damage for a short period of time, some like to kill people exactly when they use RK. I think the RK adds fun into the game and it's a great feature in regular battles no matter if it's a steamroll or a battle against clans. Btw, without RK people have to play even 2-3 hours or more to capture a flag in certain maps.
-
1. RKs are the main problem as a f2p user and I can relate...You should have got Rail earlier and I advise you to buy it soon and play XP/BP. It's fun, it gives considerable amounts of crystals if you are a decent player and you don't need to drug. This is the only option since there are less and less battles available as players leave the game. With the supplies got from missions and by playing XP/BP you should survive. My results with this method: I rarely play drug battles but when I do am always 2,3,4 and maybe RK so I perfrom well and as the time passes I still have many supplies left without ever buying supply kits. 2. This imbalance generated by the modules is somewhat normal. They are the most expensive item available for purchase with crystals (except for XTs). The solution: always have a decent amount of modules and turrets and change equipment as needed. Personally, this was one of my main issues when I had 1 turret and 1 module only since I focused on MUs and the emeies were usually turning me down easilly.

Oh sorry...I have just noticed that you were talking about regular battles. My bad. I've entered one of my alts and I've created a regular battle with that button. A Lt General can make a battle in which even Majors can take part so I assume ranks between General and Commander can create regular battles in which both Legends and Captains can join.
-
Now when a Legend creates a battle the ranks that can enter are set by default from Fieldmarshal to Legend but the player who creates the battle can still adjust this and Captains will still be able to join. They have just changed the ranks that are set by default when creating, but they can still be adjusted. So there's basically no difference.
-
so why were you so excited about this? I don't see how this makes any difference at all
-
Uhm...I don't think it means what you think it means...Take a look here: It's the default rank bracket. In the battle creation window, this can still be manually adjusted to the maximum rank bracket. Default: Manually adjusted:
-
Oh...less crystals from missions. That means less income so even less motivation for me to finish them... Apart from this, I think the update is pretty good.
-
I've played in the battle in which you took the screenshot and if I remember well our team had 5 or 6 out of 8 players with full M4 combos and we fought against M2s and some M3s the whole battle...ofc it was a steamroll since each of our players was superior when it came to equipment and our attacks were coordinated too most of the times. The difference is so significant because we had 8 M4s vs. 5 or 6 M2s (since most of the battle the enemy team didnt have a full team) so after all M4s aren't really that strong now. On the other hand you are right, it isn't fun to be somewhat forced to face these monsters with the advantage of experience, M4s, endless drugs and probably more skill from a rank at which you can not even have M3s. Tanki is probably going to do nothing about this so the players will either adapt or leave the game just as they have threatened the devs in the forum because of this update. Now I'm really curious how many of these players will leave for real...
-
I have just entered my Major alt. I've seen that using the battle button involves a risk...if someone uses it he may end up fighting the players me and you encounter daily...M4s...40-50% protections. It is an unpleasant experience to say the least. Only a heavy buyer/saver and skilled player would do a decent job for his team there at the rank of Captain. It is bothering even me as a Legend because I play mostly team battles and having more mults to carry isn't a pleasure. This is certainly not fine... Another option is joining a battle as everybody used to. Just select the battle and press "play". The problem here is that the number of good battles is somewhat low and players don't have many to choose from meaning that they are more likely to enter a battle with Legends.

Hmm...I've done the math and with 50% sale on MUs and 70% for SUs the overall price for fully MUing has been increased. Before the update the cost was 565k with the sale and now it's 854k. So after the recent updates M4s are weaker and also harder to get. MUing starts to become less and less worth the investment if my calculations are correct. What's even worse is that Turrets are even more expensive to fully MU. 854k would be the price of a hull while a Turret is now a bit over 1M so now it's cheaper to MU at full price if you do not pay any SU
