I don't like it. I don't see where my shots are landing.
-
They might have similar impact force, but it feels different way being hit by both. I have no problem with Thunder, while under Smoky fire I can barely move with Viking and they knock off my aim. With Thunder you can't turn tanks the way you do it with Smoky. I'm a Thunder player myself. Smoky has twice faster fire rate too. Ricochet's impact feels awful too. Railgun too. Even playing with Titan i get flipped by railguns.
-
Smoky's impact force should be cut. It feels annoying. Have in mind that there is also an alteration that increases it. It's ridiculous.

Ok, that wasn't correct and I knew it as I'm typing. But it's true that M3 got around 5% buff for each item. Do these 5% really make big difference for you? Do you happen to lose to M3 players more often now? I made calculation with Viking. After the changes M1 viking is roughly 23% stronger than M0, M2 is 19% stronger than M1, M3 is 10% stronger than M2 and M4 is 15% stronger than M3, if we compare protection. As you see M4 still has decent advantage of M3, while M3 is just 10% better than M2. Maybe I should complain, not you. Hammer M3 is 13,5% stronger than M2 and M4 is 12% stronger than M3. I can't calculate all items, but it still looks balanced enough.
-
After playing some yesterday and today, I have to say that these 5% increase of damage and protection for M3 items doesn't make difference against M4 at all, they are still 95% more powerful. I really hope Tanki will apply more changes otherwise I'll have to stop playing it, as I clearly can't earn 1 million crystals and upgrade 1 item to M4. It often happen to see my entire team leaving the battle, because it's M3 vs M4 and we lose big time. It's hard to find good games for my rank (commander) and I'm forced to play with M4 legends. I'm a good player, but when the opponent has much better equipment it's hard to compete. I wish I had M3 items in dec 2015 with some upgrades and get them fully upgraded to M4 for free, as it happened. It's hardly possible to upgrade to M4 anymore.
-
You can, if you have no personal life and duties, but for the average players it takes long to rank up to the highest level. I've been playing it for like 2 years now and I'm soon to be a gizmo, it takes really a lot of time and dedication, more than any other game. I even used score multiplier pass when it was available and ranked to Brigadier much faster than most people, but then slowed down playing it. Judging only by yourself is selfish. Not everyone dedicates his life to Tanki online. New players also invest money in the game, and if one sees that he's progressing too slow, he would stop investing and playing it and go to the next game. That's gonna happen if they add more ranks. The game is already unfriendly enough to new players, especially with players like you who have many accounts and like to start all over and be OP among noobs. Every game has and end, it's normal if some people stopped playing it after reaching the highest rank. When you achieve your goal you go to the next one.
-
They just created a new rank for you recently and gave you a tasty crystals reward. You will always want more and more. There are already enough many ranks, if they add more, the game will become unfriendly to new players, It takes ages to get to the highest rank, everyone's goal is to get to the highest level, if that's not achievable, they won't bother playing it.

How is M3 going to be upgraded faster to M4 now?? The MU half price changes are only for M0-M1 modifications. Stock equipment got increase of just around 5%. That's too little to make any noticeable difference. I don't know why are you crying. There is still the same gap between M3 and M4. I'd like to be able to do upgrades at half price too. Older players upgraded to M4 on the cheap before the MU update a year ago. Everyone who had upgraded damage or protection got full M4 for free. Now for players that come from below is impossible to upgrade to M4. That should be changed. This update is a step in the right direction, but still not enough.
-
At Legend rank you have just 3 M3 turrets and you don't have a heavy hull. And you say that apart from MUs you have nothing to spend crystals on? As a Commander I have more M3 items than you and I still don't consider them enough. You've been playing with the same equipment for too long, If you buy new weapons and hulls and start playing different maps, you'll find the game exciting again. Thunder and Viking is my favourite tank too, but playing only with this is boring. I'm not surprised that the game has become boring for you.

This is the update that I was asking for! Or almost. I complained in the surveys that the upgrade system that they implied some time ago is unfair to new players, because it became too expensive. Before that we were able to upgrade just one or two important parameters like damage or protection and be competitive with players with higher modifications equipment, then everyone who had upgraded one parameter got every other parameter upgraded for free after the update. The older players got maxed equipment for free, while for the players that come from below it became impossibly expensive to do enough upgrades and be competitive with them. That was too unfair. It benefited greatly the players with M3+ equipment, because it never gets out of date as there is no higher than it. So I'm glad that they finally heard me. But why the changes are only for M1 modifications? This is again unfair. It should be for all. My main account is soon to be generalissimo and I don't play from other accounts. The increase for turrets and hulls is too little to make any difference at all. I'd like to be able to do cheaper upgrades too. I'm now forced to play against M4 legends with my M3 equipment. Upgrading to M4 is not possible anymore.
-
That's the real reason? lol Come on, that's not serious. How many people have acquired everything in the game? That means that you must have everything maxed out to M4. You can never acquire everything. Especially with the introduction of so many modules which also have to be upgraded, alterations, and new weapons as well, not ot mention XT items... Only a handful of legend rank players have a few turrets and hulls at M4, but even they have something to save up for. And what about the other 99,99% of players? That statement sounds as if it's so easy and fast to acquire everything and then you are only left to spend your crystals on supplies.
-
They should remove supplies entirely, including drop boxes. There are not always pro battles with no drugs to my taste and I have to play drug games. I have hundreds of each supply, but it feels dumb to play drug wars, where everyone's brain activity is engaged only with that when he should click the drug button. It's a obsession, but that's what they want, to obsess silly kids with this game and earn some cash from them.

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Shafts win every DM. There's something really wrong with this game if a Shaft can win a DM at a full Polygon. Not even double armor can save you, if they are on drugs. It's getting boring, I stop playing it until they fix it, or save some more, get a Shaft M3 and start playing it lazy, getting insane amount of kills with no much effort. I bought Shaft m1 on this noob account and my KD is always something like 20.0, 30.0 on CP CTF without drugs, or 5.0 at DM Polygon. It's even good on arcade mode, If I get a DD box I kill half a dozen on arcade mode until it expire. It wipes the floor with all other weapons. -
You should always buy only on a sale! Always!
-
All sales in one day will make the kits super cheap. Unfortunately there are no kits for Commander rank. Noobs will benefit from this sale, and I don't really care about my noob account.

Splash works only at point blank, just try to keep distance and get protection. Thunder has a lot bigger splash radius. Is it useless? You would occasionally self destruct sometimes, the same as with thunder, but you would also benefit from the splash damage, so at the end of the day this is not a nerf. From my experience it's even a buff. The real nerf is the decreased angle of auto aiming.

Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
1) It's not hard to get positive KD at monte carlo with TItan and Twins+alt, even on full map and with good players. Only Shafts would bother me. They are too powerful now. But you can knock their aim off. It's not true that there is no impact force, I see that their laser shakes a lot when I shoot them. 2) It was only for 1-2 minutes. I would shoot from my base for awhile, then go to the middle, or to their base, I'm not doing the same thing whole game. I like variety. I can even cap with Titan, It's slow, but not too slow and has a lot of armor. Splash works only at 1 meter or something, it's not a big issue, I have protection. They should increase the splash radius, its too little. 3) at Polygon KD of 1,80 is almost guaranteed, even playing with legends, I prefer games with no drugs, I'm not so good at drug wars. It's even easier to get good score on a full map. I rarely go to the pit, would be stupid with twins with splash. I'd stay from aside firing at the pit, doing a lot of damage and getting kills until someone target me and get killed. I like to camp too. We appear to like the same maps. -

With Twins At Monte Carlo is more complicated, because they can shoot and hide and i have to be exposed. It depends on the game, I'd sometimes get a good score there with twins+alt, sometimes not. It's perfect for Wave though. I'd either be lazy and shoot from my base to their base, providing a cover, or be an attacker. It's quite effective, and even at that range kills fast enough. It's annoying and frustrating for the opponent. Today at Wave there was a Ricochet team mate next to me shooting together from our hill, he apparently also had a range alteration, it was a nightmare for the opponent. I recently bought Titan, which changed my playing style, but even with it I like to go for the flag. As I said, I didn't like the simplicity of this weapon before, it was boring, but since I bought the alt and with the splash damage, it became fun to play with. Been playing mostly with it for a week now. It's especially good at Polygon. The game is changing and you are forced to start using the weapons in a different way, in order to be successful and get more fun from the game. Playing with just one weapon and one tactic is tiring. -
Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
The alteration is cheap and changes the weapon to almost entirely new one, if you already have twins, makes perfect sense to buy this alt. It can't replace railgun and shaft. It's sort of similar to vulcan, as a constantly shooting long range weapon. -

With account tankomate1. I recently met you at monte carlo and wave for a brief, we even had conversation. You have short memory apparently. -
Patch Update #439 - Balance Changes, New Alterations and Bug Fixes

LOL Why not? If you have the range alt, Twins becomes a good long range turret. You still don't get what I'm saying. I'm not talking about the normal twins. You missed the point of the whole post. My K/D on big maps with twins+ double range alt normally is over 1,50. You'd be delighted to be in my team. It's funny because i met you exactly on those maps and you don't even have that alteration. Playing on those maps, I wouldn't want in my team someone with a simple short range twins. :D -

Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
You keep forgetting about the twins alt that doubles your range of damage. With that alt you shoot at 150m with 160 damage (M3). For comparison Thunder and Smoky have range of minimum damage of 130m. I think Twins with alt is better at long range than thunder and smoky. I even started using Twins on maps where I normally use Thunder, like Monte Carlo. Wave, Serpuhov. It never gets out of range. On every map I can shoot from my base to the other base. This alt has only pluses and no cons. It's also a lot of fun, because it's unusual. You have wasted your crystals on the wrong alteration. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Time is everything. Sometimes reload between shots feels like eternity with Hammer, if you have freeze or firebird in front of you, or other. It often happens to get killed millisecond before I manage to shoot. I'd do everything to decrease the reload time, increasing it is unacceptable. I'd buy alteration that decreases the reload time per shot and clip reload, although with reduced damage. That would make hammer more competitive at close range. Now in many situations you feel like a sitting duck, awaiting for execution. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
It says: Clip reload time +35% Reload time +10% The "reload time +10%" should mean the reload between shots. They added that recently, after the re-balance update. This make that alt suck. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
I have Hammer, but the alts for it are not good at all. The one make you almost unable to turn your turret and the other one that gives you 2 extra shots, actually increases the reload speed between shots with 10%, making you slower than a Hammer without alt. Not to mention the super long clip reload. No thanks. Instead of that I went for the Twins alt that increases range. It's surprisingly good, you can shoot anyone no matter of distance and does good damage at long distance. It changes it's usage, making it long range weapon. With this alt and the splash damage Twins is already a whole new weapon. I was never a fan of it, but now I've been playing mostly with it, since I bought the alt. The other Twins alt that switches off splash damage is pointless, people made it more fun to play, there's no point to bring it back to the old boring twins, unless you want to use it only at small maps, it's not good for that anymore, but then there are other short range weapons.
