Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

He said 1-2 kills per spawn, which means at every spawn. That is a damn good achievement, especially for hornet. -

If you kill 1-2 players per spawn is an excellent result, especially with hornet. Or maybe you want to clear the whole map, before you get killed? That's not realistic. If you were getting more kills before, then your K/D should be higher than 1.14. That shows that you were normally getting 1 kill per spawn on average. -
Twins 'Range' alteration is surprisingly good, it does great job at Polygon for example. Played 4 games with different teams and my K/D was always over 1.80 without much camping, even playing with legends, that's much better than what I'd get with the regular Twins. It's a lot of fun to pay with it. It becomes good mid range and even long range weapon. In fact it does more damage than thunder and smoky at long range.

If my son was using drugs, I'd be concerned too. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

That applies to all weapons, every weapon needs to recharge. How many tanks you can kill with one charge of freeze or firebird? I don't care about other's reactions. There will always be someone complaining because you don't heal him, or you heal the other more than him. That's because they are selfish and want to achieve high K/D in the expense of you. I'm already a Commander btw, and normally most of the people in battle are with legend rank. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
This doesn't make sense to me. He's contributing to the team by killing enemies, just like anyone else, but only because he has healing ability makes him selfish? Doesn't sound fair. Weather you will use your energy to kill an enemy, or will heal a team mate who will eventually kill an enemy, is almost the same. Healing is strategical and depends on the situation, sometimes is better to heal, other time to kill. And if you attack more than you heal doesn't make you selfish. When playing with Isida I heal like 40% of the time, which is not little. Depends on the game and the team mates, I could sometimes heal a lot, other time at all, if it's worth healing and I have spare energy, I'd heal, if I see that it's a waste of time healing them, I wouldn't. And if I pass someone at 5% health, it would be for a reason. My goal is to always win the battle, not to waste my time and lose. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

Only out for himself? How did you decide that? By your logic everyone who's in a battle with a weapon different than Isida is a selfish jerk, because why not take Isida and heal his team mates? Funny thing is that you think you have knowledge and arguments, while actually your logic and calculations are always wrong. It's a waste of time to argue with someone like you. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Why you call them jerks? If one is equipped with Isida doesn't mean that he should heal everyone all the time. Its a weapon that can kill, and by killing enemies you contribute to the team as much as everyone else who doesn't have a weapon with healing ability, especially now with this high DPS. Judging by your miserable 8.4 hours with isida, you are not willing to get in the role of a healer, yet you judge other people for not healing you. Now that's being a jerk. At 5% health you are almost dead, it would take a lot of energy and time to restore your health, it's not worth it, he better spend his energy elsewhere. You have a lot learn about this game. -
Well, I also remained with 0 crystals after the new year sale, then saved over 120k and spent them on upgrades, and now I have another 180k and I don't play it whole day, so it's not hard to beat your achievement. I have the same xp as you btw http://ratings.tankionline.com/en/user/tankomate1/

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Your calculations are terribly wrong. I forgot the exact old stats, but if it was 500 dps and now is 700, that's 40% boost, not 20%. And if they could make it doing 1400 dps for 2,5 seconds, I'd agree at the second. I wish there was such alteration. That's right, now when I'm playing with isida most of the time I'm killing, not healing. Team mates get mad, because I don't heal them enough, but I prefer to get quick easy kills, than heal, because of the high DPS. So if the devs wanted to make it mostly a healing machine, they messed it big time, because now it's more of a killing machine. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
I use it mostly on small maps, for bigger maps I don't use short range weapon. Works good at all game modes. Especially Arena and Island CP. I gave that example playing with legends, but with players of my rank (field marshal) I get much higher K/D. Today also played at Wave, we were 3 isidas and one shaft against shaft, firebird, twins and thunder, After a few minutes they gave up and left. Isida is back in the game! PS: I don't use the kill stealing battle plan, if it happen it's welcome, but I don't rely on that. With Isida I'm confident enough to face someone at full health, because I have better DPS, and he has no chance, unless he has more upgrades/protections. So I don't have to steal to get kills. -

Of course there was kill stealing, it's the smallest map. I steal their kills, they steal mine, that's how it works. Occasionally I was facing someone at full health, while the other two are at the other side of the map. For players at that rank do you think that they don't know what they are doing? -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
No. I said that 2 of them were M4 and one was M3. The one that was M3 I was able to beat face to face both starting with full health. For the M4 players I needed like 1 more second to finish them. Of course I was trying to keep distance, which helped, but if I had a M4 Titan like them would have been different. There was 120 HP difference between me and them. That's another plus for Isida, damage doesn't decrease with range, unlike all other weapons. -
That's what I'm saying. With Isida you can attack after 1-2 seconds recharging doing respectively 720-1440 damage. With Hammer you have to wait until it's fully charged, you can't shoot earlier. I use Isida regularly, now it's twice more effective,
-
With Isida you don't have to wait until full recharge to start firing again, while with hammer you don't have a choice, you are a sitting duck for 6 seconds. But what annoys me more is the worse accuracy of Hammer. If you shoot from 20+ meters you will often do too little damage, even if you are aiming precisely, and you can't always be 100% precise, which means a lot of wasted damage. You have to use it only from super close distance, but then the close range weapons will destroy you. The ricocheting pellets doesn't do damage to other tanks, but can only do damage to you if you hoot at a wall from close. This is useless change, can't be used strategically. Slow and inaccurate. No, thanks. I wouldn't use it anymore, there are better weapons.
-
Well, lets see. Isida M3 has 720 damage x 5 seconds = 3600. That's plenty enough to kill a heavy hull, so the answer is anything, it can kill anything. Also unlike all other weapons, range doesn't affect Isidas damage, it always fire with a constant damage, so all of that damage will go in use, unless you are very bad player and can't point it against the opponent. Tested it on my M0 account and been playing it a lot on my M3 account, it works good at both modifications. Even played a DM with legends and Isida did amazing.

Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Just played DM at Island with 3 legends and got K/D of 0.80. They were with Titan and Mammoth, weapons fire and freeze, 2 of them M4 (both hull and weapon), I was with Viking 31/50 and Isida 7/50. This comes to say how good Isida is for killing now. It was a non drug battle. I didn't even had a protection for their turrets, only of them had isida protection. If I was with heavy hull and the same level of upgrades, I'd have been boss. Let alone with protection. At first the Mammoth was equipped with vulcan and i always managed to beat him face to face with my medium hull, no drugs, no protections. So the energy pool is enough to kill a heavy hull, with no protection and not upgraded. 720 x 5 = 3600, and M3 Mammoth has 3376 HP. If the energy was lasting for one more second would have been perfect. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
It's the other way around, with the old stats it wasn't able to kill, it was too weak, you shoot someone for 7 seconds and then someone steal your kill, now you can actually get some kills with it, or even steal a kill. It works good in DM, been playing it today at both accounts m0 and m3+. I also wish it was stronger, but then will be too op and people will be complaining again. They always will. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

What about the Isida range? It's definitely much shorter than before. Anyone else noticed it? Also the cone radius is bad. Easier aiming my ass... Still better than before, but the range nerf is bad. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes

That applies to all weapons. For every weapon there is protection and DA. Isida can kill anything face to face, if you have the same hulls and protection. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Prolounged damage over 9 seconds but with fewer dps leads to kill stealing and getting killed before you kill. so your math is not correct when it comes to effectiveness. It's important to kill quick. Big damage over short period of time is better than little damage over long period. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Hammer is still good, I just got a K/D of 1.00 playing against legends in a non drug battle and I'm a field marshal. But the reload clip time is indeed longer, while the time between shots has only slight decreasement, so it's a nerf for the reload time definitely. The bouncing effect doesn't do self damage if you shoot at tanks from close, but it does if you shoot against a wall, it won't be a factor in the game, I think. Not much of a nerf overall. especially if you have the 5 shots alt. Isida now kills a medium hull in less than 5 seconds. I'll start using it again. But the range seems a lot shorter, although it wasn't mentioned, or it might be just me, waiting for confirmation from other players. -

There is again no logic. How will make the targeting easier, if you narrow the cone? -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Increasing also mean improving, that's pretty misleading. I thought that they will be making the time between shots shorter, otherwise there would not be "BUT'" for the second part of the sentence: "increasing the reload speed between shots, BUT reloading your clip will take longer" Either I'm right, or it's very poorly written. They way it's written now means exactly that they will be improving the reload speed. -
Patch Update #441 - Changes to Isida, Hammer and Shaft, and other changes
Mofuka replied to theFiringHand in News Archive
Isida was already useless, so increasing the damage will actually bring it back to use. Although 5 seconds energy pool is too short. Hammer changes actually sounds like a improvement to me. The 2 seconds between shots often feels like eternity when you have a constantly shooting close range turret against you. And hammer is meant for close combat, so shoot and hide is not an option, I often get killed just before i shoot. Decreasing the time between shots is a must.
