Well, DragonOfStorms, our main leader, essentially died went missing. I suppose he left Tanki and the Tanki Online forums, and didn't remember to follow up or say a goodbye message. Or maybe something actually happened to him in real life. KillerGnat has just been busy with some stuff in real life I think. Zen (Sagittarii) and the Crested Dragons are most active out of all leadership.

I have to agree. The turrets are being gradually blended by the removal or addition of features. Just look at the addition of splash damage to Twins and removal of self-healing on Isida. The turrets are losing a lot of what makes them unique. I understand the goals of the developers, but know this: A metagame can never be perfectly balanced. There will always be something that is the top dog, one superior turret that has the best statistics and best matchup against other turrets. Nerfing everything is a very short-term solution since it just makes other turrets proportionately stronger, which leads the them being nerfed in the future. Definitely a cycle. At any rate, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Well, I managed to avoid the temptation to buy any new hulls, turrets, paints, protection modules, alterations, or MUs during the sales. :ph34r: Although I did get a 100 Supplies kit since I needed it pretty badly. :P But I really need to save up so I can get M3s right away when ranked a few times more.

It could be tested, but we can calculate it right here and now pretty easily. We know the Artillery can launch projectiles at a range of approximately 45 props, possibly further. The Silence map (according to the wiki) has the dimensions of 29 props by 24 props. Therefore you can assume that Artillery can easily shoot anywhere on the Silence map as long as you can make the arc high enough to travel over the obstacles.

I do personally agree that it seems unpleasant to not be able to turn your turret, but I don't mind the looks too much. And it'll be good enough in battle that it'll probably do just fine at annoying people without being able to turn its turret. :lol:

Same to be honest. I'm used to playing with Twins in a very mixed close-range mid-range combat style, and taking all the close-range part of it out sucks. Especially because I'm now helpless against Firebirds and the splash damage doesn't even actually splash enemies that much. <_< I'm going to try and get the new M1 alteration, so that I can use normal Twins again. At least I have the range alteration already which makes it slightly easier for me to use Splash. :ph34r:

I believe this would mean that the map must at least host 16 players, or 8 on each team. Not sure though.
