What is the Thunder alteration? There isn't one available for Thunder M1 so I can't find out. Also, is there only ever one alteration unlocked per turret? Because on all my turrets (all M2 or M1) there is only one alteration I can click on, even though it looks like there would be four options. Do these become available at m3?

I think I'm going to get the Twins range modification, I'll let you guys know in here how it is when I test it. I have M2 Twins so obviously it could change a bit in effectiveness based on if it is M1 or M3. EDIT: The Twins alteration is quite good if you can handle the pricetag. The heavy increase in bullet speed makes it significantly easier to hit fast opponents, and the range makes Twins much easier to use in maps like Polygon, Rio, and Kungur, I would very much advise it if you like using Twins. The range increase is quite noticeable and useful, and the reload is still at a comfortable amount.

I haven't personally tried it, although it looks the same as the Twins one pretty much. I don't personally think it would be worth it, but like I said I haven't actually tried using it.

Oh if it can be unequipped then maybe I'll buy the Twins alteration at some point.

My Twins M2 has a 50k Alteration, so its actually fine for me. I'm skipping on it though because I don't mind Twins with shorter range. I find the explanations quite good; just look at what stats are lowered and which are raised when you click on the alteration option.

I personally would rather work with normal Vulcan in Polygon CP since it would be easier to camp on top of the wall. If you plan on really only camping by buildings and on the main ground, then the Alternation would probably be good for you.

Vulcan's is tricky because it makes it sometimes better and sometimes worse. The extra horizontal rotation makes it great on flat maps like Desert or Massacre, where not much vertical adjust is needed, but as a result it is far less effective in multi-leveled maps like Madness or Noise.

Use Vulcan, Twins or Thunder. All are amazing with Mammoth at pretty much any Modification level, although at M3 it (Thunder) requires some MUs to stay relevant I think. Smoky/Ricochet/Shaft all work with Mammoth as well but aren't as good for powerleveling. Vulcan is the one I recommend personally.

What range? Can I join with my Warrant Officer 2 alt @KevlarFusion?

So I currently have Viking, Twins, Isida, and Railgun M2, along with Sakura and Roger legacy modules. I have 170k crystals currently, and I'll use them to purchase Bumblebee kit once I get to Brigadier. I do not feel like I need Rail M3 for XP. I want to get Vulcan M3 at some point, but it isn't urgent. I'm fine using any M3 turrets or hulls besides Ricochet. What kits options would be best to try and get after Bumblebee? Some options I've been considering: Stormbringer (Would leave me with Hammer, Vulcan, Hornet, and Dictator M3) Paladin (Would leave me with Hammer, Smoky, Hornet, and Viking M3) Guardian (Would leave me with Hammer, Smoky, Hornet, and Titan M3) Prometheus (Would leave me with Hammer, Firebird, Hornet, and Hunter M3) These are just some that I thought look decent although I'm fine with any kit that doesn't have Ricochet. I do not want Ricochet M3. Finally, should I try MUing Hornet/Hammer/Kit Gear once I get another kit, or would it be smarter to buy more M3s before I start MUing?

I think Alterations have very reasonable prices except at M1s. Then again, Kits are really overpriced in the M1 Ranks as well since people haven't had much time to save up or to figure out how to save up. But For the amount of benefit these could bring and the amount of specialization you can gain, it seems like a fair cost.

As someone who spent a lot of time using Shaft, and then Firebird, then Vulcan, then Isida, and finally Twins and Rail, I've used a lot of turrets dubbed "skilled turrets" or "not skilled". :P Some turrets require less skill to use to the most basic degree of effectiveness, but all turrets can be used with skill beyond the point of the most base quality.
