Without drugs and without buying... a bit more than a year :D But game changes make it always harder for newbies. So it was much easier for my predecessors, and it was easier for me than someone starting now. As a matter of fact I would definitely not recommend this game to a non buyer.

From the contents of your posts, it is pretty clear you are "aged' (and I do not mean it as an insult, since I probably beat you on that field). With age come things as wisdom. Now... this game took a path which brought 95% of players to be teens. We all have been teens and we know there is no much thinking associated to actions at that age. So "wasting money" is a concept not understood at that age. Every teen wants everything immediately. Unfortunately it is too late for the game developers to turn things around: reducing power of drugs would make 95% of users considerably "weaker" and finding the game more "difficult", many of them would leave faster than what is already happening. A pity, honestly, as the game would have had lots of potential absorbing elder and more loyal users, while now destiny is somehow set. But glad to see there are still some of "us" around :D

Did you write "Defending the Undefendable"? I doubt, as it was published in 1976... :P

Several unlikely factors should happen for that to become possible... but good luck! Interesting I got only 8 Gold Boxes playing 3 times more, but I prefer so, as I do not know what to do with them. Concerning getting a flag from a mined base, that is very difficult for a drugging clan, you can imagine for a non drugger. Unfortunately there are also enemy tanks around enemy flag to be taken care of and generally 2 mines will do the job before isida could work its magic...

Could you explain how to get a flag from a base full of mines? Or explain why you used 1714 mines, but only 23 gold boxes? Or have you tried to offer a gold box to a drugger approaching you? Anyway, let's agree to disagree on this one. Simply impossible ;) Do you understand that you do not need to buy pills just because the pharmacy sells them? And do you understand that the pharmacy will not stop selling pills just to make sure you do not buy them? Honestly, who gave you that Reporter helmet? Did not know they came in size XS... :P

None "needs" drugs and hope you continue that way, since free users are soon going to be extremely rare to find. However... please do not brag to be Superman because drugs will always win against skills. You snipe with your Shaft/Mammoth, shoot a drugger with DA, then drugger gets RK and comes to visit you with DD. End of story :D

1) My numbers do not include gold boxes. Mines are included because you suppose to destroy tanks with them. Few players in this list are obviously Parkour guys. 2) I apologize for using more drugs than you :D But I wait till you get to Legend :P You said it right. A player mastering skills first, THEN learning how to use drugs, would definitely be a TOP player. Personally I do not know anyone who did that. If you did it, I am sure you are pretty good.

I suggest you to read the explanation given by Wikipedia on Free-to-play with particular focus on the chapter Criticism: "A common suggestion for avoiding pay-to-win is that payments should only be used to broaden the experience without affecting gameplay". But I also do not agree with the definition Pay-to-Win, as most Buyers face losses often (playing against other Buyers). So it is more Pay-to-Compete.

Do you expect new players to start playing PRO battles from Day 1? Do you expect new players to stay in the game long enough to learn about PRO battles? Do you think the few ones remaining and forced to drug, getting their tank 400% stronger, 130% faster, 500% higher chances to get drop boxes and soon to come the additional Overdrive, will ever care about learning skills? So yes, one can play non drugged PRO Battles and be desperate about the skills level created by the drugs...

I was not referring to XP/BP battles. I cannot even play those ones, LOL (and I would not like to play them). But I am allowed to rant "generally". The quality of the average player of Tanki Online are the lowest (by far) I have ever seen in a game. And this is due to 1) an always decreasing average age; 2) easy-to-buy/easy-to-use drugs, a shortcut that all kids take to avoid learning skills. PS.: I just saw one drugger playing well. I always mention when it happens, because it is extremely rare... Probably the third this year, but the second this month :o ...
