Thank you for the explanation :)

I just tested some guns and here are my impressions: 1) Isida: It seems that the buff is just too strong. The damage buff is remarkable, but the healing buff is even stronger, as my Isida (M3 8/20) got a buff by 50 % while having the same magazine  But maybe I am just too used to have an Isida that was so weak for quite a time now... 2) Hammer: even with Slugger i sometimes don't get the full damage at an appropriate range (maybe 30-40 m). I am glad that Slugger only got a -5% rotation decrease. I think Slugger is kind of essential for Hammer now. 3) Magnum: the +1 sec charge time seems like a small change, but it has a big impact. I will need a while to get used to the new timing as Magnum is a lot about experience with playing it and you have to look on the numbers more often at the moment. What I can tell is that the precision of the aiming is a lot better now (as long as you watch the numbers and not go by your old experience :P).

Yes, I fully agree :) And thank you for pointing it out on Magnum, I will tell you how the new playing feels in some days ^_^ I guess we have to wait for the numbers for Smoky and Thunder to evaluate the changes.

It's gonna be YUUUGE

I think the same. Firebird M2 alt. should have been nerfed. Eventually they will make an alt. for that. By the way do you maybe know if the devs already checked the alterations idea topic?
-
I have the feeling that Thunder's splash gets way weaker, but let's see. Dunno if a higher or lower Magnum charge up time is better for my playing style. But I bet an alteration for that is on the way.

Thanks a lot for explaining everything in detail. Very much appreciated! Also good that Isida got really buffed this time. I didn't get one point tho, what was that about the change of range of maximum splash radius from 0 to 1 m for Striker and Thunder?

Oh thanks for the link, I didn't see the review for it unitl now. But I still believe, that the 2 hulls and the hull character are 2 separate things, but they might come into game to the same point in time.
-
Where did you get this info? Was it said on the last livestream with Cedric? If yes, would you mind to tell me the minute, where he says this?
-
As far as I know, the hull character and the 2 new hulls are two different things.

My opinion: Good for big maps, but it's more important to have different levels on the map and be able to shoot from above is the key May be good for CP mode to shoot the point (fun in Polygon :D), but I prefer it in CTF mode, because the front lines are more constant and people are not moving this much. If the enemy base is like a bunker then it's a perfect prey for Magnum. Some good maps for it: Noise: plainly OP there, as it has no supporter role but is the most influential weapon in there) Silence: effective in both teams Rio: You can clean the enemy base in some seconds, when you are on the roof and you are not being attacked) If your team is playing at least halfway-decent, it is also good for small maps like Hill It's quite difficult to use in maps with a bumpy surface like Massacre. Playing with a supporter i.e. Isida, like a Vulcan + Isida combo, to heal and hold off nearby enemies makes it even deadlier Aiming and shooting while you retreat with enemy flag is awesome ^_^ Nearby mates should be very careful of not driving against a Magnum, because the aiming is so sensitive I move around with it a lot, which makes me really want to get the Magnum module to prevent to take all the self-damage...

The biggest question I have for the matchmaking system is whether it will match players according to the settings (about MUs, Drugs, Format, etc) how they want to play their game? If it will be this way I can imagine of not needing the battle list anymore. Hazel's post in the news thread sounded to me as if the matchmaking would give players the opportunity to make them highly customizable, but I might have misinterpret him. If it won't have the possibilites to filter the battles, you can cast the system into the wind.

Will the private chat messages in the Chat tab still be removed after switching servers or joining and leaving a battle?

Is that intended that the price slash is only applied for guns and hulls and not for paints modules (I meant modules of course )? But The 25% discount today is for all...
-
I would wait too.

They should have been clearer with the announcement, because Moon Silence is not back, but we can play Silence in Space mode.

Did you really buy your M4 after the speedups were multiplied by 4? If not, then the players at the moment don't get it in half of the time compared to you.

Sorry, I was pretty busy the last days... Hazel said in the livestream (from 0:53:10 on to 0:56:45), that they did the unifying of hulls on purpose and they made this directly because they had this upcoming hull change in mind. Hazel's wording by talking about "character of hulls" and saying "this is the hull I need right now!" shows that every hull gets an additional individual element and this will be a main differentiator for them. So this hull grouping update and the upcoming hull character update is directly related. This is TO's interpretation of agile development - splitting updates that belong together and implementing one part way before its right time. SCNR because we see the same thing right now with the removal of daily missions from pro battles (and the step by step removal of Pro battles), but the Matchmaking system, which is the related and necessary balancing update for this, still might take a year to get implemented. TO declined hull alterations, that might be because this new hull character does not affect the normal hull parameters (they are "boring stuff") or that might be because they don't trade in disadvantages to get advantages. This "hull character" might be something we can find in the hull ability topic. There are ideas in there that bring benefits to the own tank, but some also bring benefits to surrounding team tanks. I expect that the "character" will add a new mechanic to the specific hull, which means it is not only a couple of parameter changes. As I already said in the PM, I doubt that TO will produce something without that the players will pay for it, so I believe they have to be bought (so they will not be equipped for every hull from the start). It might be that they will trade in disadvantages to get advantages (and make it similar to alterations), but it could also be that they purely offer advantages (like MUs). These are just some possibilities what it could be, because we don't know the main concept yet. I didn't check the games Hazel mentioned, from which he got the idea for this, as i don't know them and didn't really want to get too many spoilers :P So let's wait and see with what they will come up... If I were you I would already save up some crystals to be ready 1st to get the hull with the ability/character you like the most and 2nd to buy the ability for this tank (in case it must be purchased).
